“Ordered a wool blanket last minute 4 days before Christmas as I could not find one local. The shipping cutoff for Christmas had already passed so I printed out a picture ready to wrap. Much to my surprise, the blanket arrived on Christmas eve! My parents loved the blanket and while I didn't NEED it by Christmas, it was nice that it was shipped so quickly.”

“Purchased love seat June 2 and delivery was to be in 3-4 months. It is now mid October and I cannot get anyone to reply to my requests about delivery date. Were very courteous and friendly while purchasing but after sales service it terrible. Have gone to Palliser with a complaint and maybe I will get something from them.
La Detente has taken care of my situation with speed and to my satisfaction. I have had other experiences with this store and was always satisfied. I am now another satisfied customer.”

The website says 10% off everything all weekend. So I go into the store to purchase a pillow assuming they also give me the same price as online, and they don’t. They just charge me full price. No I have to drive into the store tomorrow for a refund. If they properly refund me, I will up them to 3.7 stars, but it’s 31 minutes lost and $6 of gas….

The company later contacted me and was pleasantly surprised to deal with and they showed empathy and offered to fix the issue. Switching to 5 stars due to company follow up.

“Staff were friendly. Parking is out front but they may ask you to drive out behind to pick up the mattress. Note: Google maps has you drive through a parking lot just prior to arrival. You can trust it as it does work out but it is kind of surprising!”

“Lucky me to have had such great service and an amazing experience shopping for top quality furniture and decor at Total Home Consignment. I bought my first home in Alta Vista 25 yrs ago and couldn't afford to replace my existing plain furniture. A lot of my replacement pieces came from Marketplace as 2nd hand purchases. Mediocre mis matches at best lol. After 25 yrs I decided to downsize and bought a condo. Richard was amazing he accepted all of my items on consignment as I was in the midst of purging and major downsizing. I estimate that 95% of my consigned items sold thanks to the revolving door of repeat customers who shop at this location. Am happy to say that my condo is now all furnished with mostly new and consigned items from Total Home Consignment. From my dining room table to an office couch that converts to a bed, my bedroom furniture consisting of 2 dressers and a brand new bed and mattress, mirrors, wall decor and artwork. I am not a fan of shopping but have to say Richard carries such a wonderful array of pieces that after only a few months of dropping in at his store, one store, I was able to find every piece I needed ... am proud of my new condo life with so many original, beautiful ensemble of very nice and practical furniture decor. There isn't another store with the quality and amazing client services as Total Home Consignment in Ottawa or surrounding areas, that carries such unique consignment and new furniture and decor!”
