“I can't say enough about the service at Ormes Furniture (5470 Bank Street, Gloucester). Earlier this year I bought a Stressless sofa. Micheal, my salesperson, took so much time to research, measure, and talk to me about the product; he was excellent. Unfortunately, when the piece arrived, there was a problem with one of the sections. Michael and June (customer service) had a representative come to my house in Kingston to try and resolve the issue. With no success there, they then went to Stressless and ordered a new section. During the process, Michael updated me with regular emails and phone calls. The new section arrived today, and it is perfect! I am delighted. Thank you SO much Michael, June and the installation staff for all your hard work over these last months.”

All of their designers are highly experienced and skilled, and our project lead Anna quickly became a trusted and reliable partner to us. All aspects of our project were managed with attention to detail, and professionalism. The team delivering and installing furniture and decor was no exception- particular attention was paid to ensuring things were done right the first time.Some lessons learned for us that might help future clients: if you think you want to work with West of Main, call them early! We called as soon as we had a possession date. That meant we were able to plan dates for the team to see the space, spend a day taking measurements, and start sequencing the logistics of the plan. Secondly, communicate your needs and wants clearly and early. We realized that what we thought we wanted in one space wasn’t clicking for us—because we communicated openly, the design plan was changed before anything was ordered or finalized. It turned out to be our favourite space! Finally, trust the experts—the WoM team is best placed to choose the right shape, size, colour, texture to make your space beautiful with intention. “Great deals on quality furniture. I regularly visit Total Home, they have some of the best quality consignment furniture I've seen for around half the cost of buying the pieces new. Additionally, they also sell new furniture, including custom sofas, loveseats, chairs, & sectionals. Another thing that makes them stand out to me, is that they regularly have Model Home Furnishings from the builders in the Ottawa area. I'd classify them as an upscale consignment + new furniture store. Their showroom has the largest selection I've seen in Ottawa.If you're looking for cheap furniture, I'd check kijiji or the salvation army. The negative reviews I read mainly seem like personal expectations not being met. I was greeted when I ventured past the cash, and my questions were answered genuinely (they actually told me not to buy a certain piece from one of their wholesalers that caught my eye). In the past service might have been lack luster, but my personal experience was inviting with low pressure sales (which I prefer vs being convinced into a purchase that I've regretted in the past).Hope this helps give people a better understanding of this store.Cheers!”
