My dog Mochi absolutely loves her and she really takes the time to understand and be personable with us. I trust her completely with not only the grooming process but her care and wellbeing. My dog dealt with severe separation anxiety, and anxiety in general and Liz has always stayed patient with her and never rushed through her time. This is a private groom where they are 1:1 together which makes me feel so much better than other public grooms. My dog Mochi always comes out looking beautiful and happy and I cannot thank Liz enough for the care she puts into not only my dog but her others as well.

1916 Dundas St E, WhitbyI LOVE this place - anyone making a bad review is absolutely wrong. These guys have been very good to me for close to ten years. Special orders, if a fish of mine died within 5 days of dying I’d get a replacement or 50% refund - copious amounts of free information have been given to me, and always a kind service. They’re a small shop, they have to change some policies here and there to stay open and succeeding and I support that.
Big Al’s is great - I would highly recommend this over PetSmart. Pet smart uses the same water filter system for ALL of their fish tanks, and unethically source a lot of their product.

Apparently the shop is owned by a third party who is not a groomer with hired staff. The staff are wonderful and friendly though.
The cost of grooming for our dog has increased significantly with the new owner.

1650 Victoria St E, WhitbyI found Thickson Animal Hospital while searching online through local veterinary reviews, and I am incredibly grateful that I did. We recently brought home two new kittens and have had some very stressful health concerns arise, and the care we received from both Dr. Sherry and Dr. Friendship has been exceptional.
They have both been extremely upfront, direct, compassionate, and supportive throughout the entire process. I especially appreciated their honesty and willingness to clearly explain what was happening medically, while still being kind and empathetic during a very emotional situation.
At no point did I feel dismissed or rushed. They took my concerns seriously, answered my questions thoroughly, and genuinely seemed to care about the wellbeing of the animals as well as the emotional toll on their owners.
The staff has also been wonderful, accommodating, and responsive during a difficult week. I would absolutely recommend Thickson Animal Hospital to anyone looking for knowledgeable, caring, and trustworthy veterinary care.

66 Baldwin St Suite 100, BrooklinDon’t go on an event night. They had 2 staff trying to service a completely full house, so we didn’t get any service at our table and I repeatedly had to go up to the bar myself just to get help.
A few positive things I have to say is that Banter & Co is dog friendly, and the server did offer some water for our little monster during the process of ordering our beers at the bar. The server brought the beers and water bowl, and that was the last time I saw the server out of the bar area.
Trying to cash out was even worse. I originally waited because there was a decent line, then came back up once it died down and there were only 2 people ahead of me. Even then, it still took forever because the server kept standing there talking socially instead of helping people who were obviously waiting to pay.
There was nobody behind me in line either, and my girlfriend was still patiently waiting outside enduring the assault of mosquitoes at the table. I was there holding the empty glasses and the dog’s water bowl, clearly trying to check out so I could just go home. Meanwhile, the conversations just kept dragging on. It honestly felt like if you weren’t one of the regulars, you weren’t worth any attention.
It got to the point where the guy who was more focused on cleaning up to close for the night helped my girlfriend cash us out on the patio. He was honestly more helpful than the bar “server”.
Maybe it would be a good idea to have some more staff when there’s an activity that draws in a lot of people and business.
Really disappointing experience overall this visit, especially considering how simple it should’ve been to just pay and leave.
