Black Dog Vineyard & Winery Tasting Room
8085 NE Oak Springs Farm Rd, CarltonEverybody here is so friendly! We brought a dog and they were exceptionally accommodating to her (she could sit inside or outside - and they brought a bowl of water inside for her and had treats available). Great location and great staff.

Lemelson Vineyards
12020 NE Stag Hollow Rd, CarltonWarm and highly engaged hosts. Jodie is a terrific tasting room manager. I had a great time walking around the vineyards with Rob, and they accommodated me with a tour of the winery and the cellars. Easily one of my favorite wineries to visit while in Oregon, especially for their organically farmed and beautifully nuanced expressions of Pinot Noir and other varietals.

Stone Griffon Vineyard
305 W Main St, CarltonWe were so lucky to wander into Stone Griffon the day that we did. The owner and winemaker Terry was attending the tasting room and I could not be more grateful for the conversation we had. It was incredibly refreshing and delightful speaking with him and enjoying glasses of wine beyond the initial flight we did. We absolutely loved all of his wine and brought home a bottle.

Craft Wine Co.
116 W Main St, CarltonIncredible experience. Had the place to ourselves on a Thursday afternoon. Ray the manager of Craft guided us through the tasting and even gave us some extra wines to try as well. He was charming and gregarious and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If your in North Willamette you need to go to Craft, a definite must stop in Carlton

Tendril Wine Cellars
130 W Monroe St, CarltonWe had a party of 10 from Alabama and showed up but the power was out. Pio made it work anyway! He also did a great job explaining all about the wines and ensured we all had a great time. Infact Tony, the owner showed up and spent time with us. Of the 700+ wineries in the valley, this needs to be your first stop. Thank you for the great memories.

Ken Wright Cellars
120 N Pine St, CarltonWhile I’ve had the chance to enjoy a few of their single-vineyard wines before, it was especially insightful to take a step back and really explore the differences between the Eola-Amity Hills AVA and the Yamhill-Carlton AVA side by side.
At the restaurant I work at, we’ve been pouring their Willamette Valley Pinot for years, so it was great to broaden that perspective and taste through a wider range of vineyard sites. The experience added a lot of depth and context to wines I already appreciated, always a bonus when familiar producers can still surprise you.
