“I placed an order last year and had a major life change and move across the country occur shortly after. Even though I had some pretty big delays in getting back to them and getting my measurements in the team at Baker’s has been great throughout the entire process. There was never any pressure to get the order completed or canceled even though they probably would have been within their rights to cancel it with the delays I have had in completing my end of things. I look forward to receiving my boots, and to doing more business with this store in the future.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Jerry. He was so helpful, patient, and found me my perfect fit after trying multiple different shoe stores. I have flat feet that pronate and he was able to find me a great fitting shoe with an orthotic and runner's knot that worked incredibly well for me. Thanks Jerry!!!”

“Clean, organized shop with a nice selection of items. Sweaters, shoes, denim, dresses, coats, active wear-all kinds of selection! The owner (whose name I forget) was friendly and kind. She was honest telling me if something didn’t look great. I appreciate that! It’s nice to support a small business. I also like that she opens at 9am, instead of 10. I ended up with a sweater and two pairs of shoes! Not in the (financial) plan, but I like what I bought.”

“I love this store! Always have my size, cool van's I haven't seen yet, usually have sales of some kind going on, and the managers are always on top of there store as well as very knowledgeable. I usually try to buy at least 2 pairs of shoes when I go. If you like vans, then you should probably check it out. And the prices aren't that far away from online.”

Likewise, the price on the items with even 60-75% discount is still relatively high compared with the other branches with more variety as well as compared with other apparel stores.”
“This store had a good selection of products when I was here last. I had ordered a few things online and needed to bring back the items that didn't work. The associates here were helpful in processing the return and in helping me order something they didn't have in the store. My friend who was with me was also impressed with their inventory, and ended up purchasing some fingerless gloves that are ideal for her to wear while playing piano in the winter.”

“I love the large variety of shoes and products from casual wear to dressy. Recently I purchased a pair of shoes I thought was my size, only to find out when I got home, they were 1/2 size too small, therefore tight. Thankfully, I had not worn them outside, so returned with the box and sales slip. The clerk and store manager were friendly and accommodating. I could have not been treated better and received a full refund. (Not always the case in some stores). I have recommended DSW to neighbors, and they too were completely satisfied! Jan B”
“Selection is pretty good, but not a lot of sizes. Also I I don’t understand why I have to give my email address in order to get a receipt.The shoes ended up being too small for my son and I had to go back to exchange them. Since I didn’t have my receipt the salesman said he would have to give me the lowest sale price which was $49.99. I paid $100 for them. He ended up looking up my transaction and credited my card, but it was quite the process. If customers had the option to get a paper receipt, it would have made the experience better.I called corporate and was not understood. I had to discontinue the call because we were just going in circles and not getting anywhere.”

“Yesterday, we took a break from the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field and walked to one of the local running shoe stores…Run Hub. Small business, family owned.
We met the owner, Dustin Pearce, and told him we were in town for all things track and field. He welcomed us and then asked where we were from, and of course that led to us telling him we work at The Runner. As we stood there talking shoes and more, it was like we were longtime customers. Yep, that’s small business. Thanks for making us feel at home!
