J & R Mexican Food
13811 Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard, Oak GroveI have eaten here 3 times now, and I think it's time to give a review.
Every time I have been here... I leave satisfied and full. Handmade tacos are phenomenal! Torta was amazing outside of the bread is slightly crunchy 🤤. Asada fries are super phenomenal 5⭐. Just had a asada burrito and it was wrapped to perfection... I didn't want to eat it. It was too beautiful to eat but I was hungry and tore it up.
J&R is my new go to now.

Awakening Coffee & Tap House & Brewery
2144 Southeast Oak Grove Boulevard, Oak GroveAwakening Coffee & Tap House is such a great community spot in Oak Grove. They have a covered patio, plenty of indoor seating, and I love that it works for a group where some people want coffee and others want cocktails. It’s just an easy, welcoming place to hang out.
The owners are an absolute delight and have created such a safe, inclusive community where everyone is welcome.
I ordered an iced latte Caramello and the Everything Bagel Bacon Breakfast Sandwich, plus a Pop-Tart and coffee cake to share with the table. Everything was delicious!
It’s perfect for a casual breakfast with friends, but it would also be a great spot for lunch and a beer. I’ll definitely be back!
