“David, brought to my attention that last major tuneup used counterfeit knockoff parts. It is amazing that our car was not in a serious accident because of it. He was very thorough and supplied me with the bad parts so that I could tell this story to my past mechanic. I am very thankful that he went up and beyond what was asked and done in a timely fashion. “I have taken a couple of different cars to Re-born over the last 2 years, and they have been very professional, deliberate, and thorough each time. My initial visit to Re-born was through insurance and a theft recovery. While they were working on the theft recovery issues I had them also do some additional work that was non theft related and they did all of it professionally and with kindness. The other cars that’s I’ve brought in have been a couple of new cars I’ve been fortunate enough to acquire and they’ve taken good care of those cars as well. Hans and the team are very communicative, and usually pretty timely as well. They ask for explicit authorization before performing any services, often with a super convenient online system that doesn’t require you to be on the phone or in the shop in order to authorize it. As far as pricing goes, I feel like the old adage holds up well here… cheap work isn’t good and good work isn’t cheap. Having said that, I have never felt like they are trying to screw me over or string me along and make extra repairs just for the sake of making extra money. They will often flag items that ‘could’ be done without the hard ball sales tactics that make you feel forced to make them, especially if they aren’t safety related issues. I am super grateful to have found a mechanic I feel like I can trust and have talk to me straight and not dodge questions and try and go straight for my wallet. I plan on returning to Re-born as long as I need to.”

“I inadvertently hit a massive pothole in Milwaukee, OR destroying my R front tire and severely bending the rim of my BMW 850. AAA towed me to Liberty Tire & Glass which fortunately was very close by. Being from out of town I was not familiar with this shop nor used them before. They found a replacement tire at a warehouse on the Portland waterfront and had it expedited to the shop for me in a couple of hours. While they were not equipped to straighten the rim, they did determine that while damaged it would hold air and installed the replacement tire for me so that I could drive the car back to my home in Bend, OR that same day. The responsiveness to my predicament by these people was nothing short of amazing, and they had me on my way in a matter of a few hours. They even loaned me a car to run an errand and get lunch while my car was being repaired! This sort of customer service is almost unheard of, and in particular for someone who was not a former customer and they of course had never met before. I can't recommend this business more highly after my experience with them - just wonderful people.”

Just bought a vintage 1979 VW bus and at the gas station when I open the side door, a piece on the bottom came off and it hit the ground and it wouldn’t shut. Trying to take it home to Chicago and I was able just to drop by and have them get it shut for me so that I can make the long trip home.

“A couple of weeks ago we called AAA for someone to tow an old scooter my boyfriend and I were restoring. Lando from Crown Towing & Repair arrived quickly. In addition to being friendly and personable, he took great care to make sure the scooter was securely attached to his truck in such a way that it would not tip over and be further damaged. We asked questions which he answered knowledgably.
The tow was from North Porth to outer Southeast and Lando made sure to confirm the delivery address before heading out. We drove separately and he arrived just minutes after we did.
I would highly recommend this young man for future tow jobs due to his responsible care of our property and for his excellent customer service.”
