“Hopscotch is a very fun activity filled time! Not for kids either. It’s entertaining for all ages. A bit pricey but it is Portland so what did you expect? A genuinely good few hours of fun if you find yourself over there”
“I absolutely LOVED this place. The staff were super friendly and inviting. There's a bit of wait since it's a small museum. There's so much interesting strange things in this gem. It's easy to scoff and skip on sight, but I highly suggest it if you're into weird occult, horror stuff.
The museum is in a super sketchy area, so watch out. That has nothing to do with the museum though. The shop has some interesting things. There's a clean bathroom in the museum too.”
“Lovely curio store with plenty to browse. The best part is that they offer classes on bug pinning! We signed up for the swallowtail butterfly pinning and really enjoyed the detailed intro and demo, though they offer classes for a number of other insects (including a Frankenbug?!). Would very much recommend this as an approachable activity for any first-timers.”

“This is a great place if you are into anything occult, witchcraft, or esoteric related. The owner specializes in rare books but sells a wide variety of books still in print. Dark Star Magick also has classes on a variety of subjects in the field. It is worth an in person if you are in surroundings cities and of course you can order from the store online.”

“What a great find with an amazing range of truly Japanese items. Joshua is incredibly knowledgeable about each item sourced from Japan. This shop specializes in tantsu but has an assortment of decorative pieces as well as an abundance of traditional wood working tools.”

“I have curly hair and was looking for a while here in Oregon for a hairdresser who can do a good hair cut on my curly hair, got it messed up very bad it was very uneven from my last cut, found Arin and he is very talented he did a rezo cut for my very tight curly hair and I loved it, I went to different salons in this area specialized in curly hair but non of them did a good job, Arin is a very good hairdresser for curly hair if you have curly hair go with Arin your curls will love it.”

“The Guardino Gallery is one of the original galleries where Alberta got the Alberta Arts District from. This shop helped build Alberta Street to what it is today, and we thank you. This gallery incorporates multiple store fronts, has lots and lots of fantastic local art, which rotates about every month, so you keep going back to find that piece your house is missing. Keep a look out for one of their many openings where they showcase individual artists or show up for Last Thursday and see a collection by many, which is usually the case.”

“Most times of the year, the studio has limited days and hours that are open to the public for shopping, but during the holidays, they are open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12PM-6PM. During the holiday season they are well stocked with wares from 11 ceramicists and 1 jeweler. We went the other day and Jan, one of the ceramic artists, showed us around a bit giving us info on the studio and artists -- she was absolutely lovely. Aubrey was also in the studio working and was nice enough to show us her workspace and spend a little time with us as well. Her recent pieces have bright glazes and lots of texture -- we're fans! This place is a great asset to the artistic community.”
