“Awesome place owned and ran by awesome people. We will always get the hoagies here for picnics and kennywood.
Love the flowers also. They are the best around. Just go in and look around they have a lot, you won't leave without getting something.”
“You won't find another market that matches the rich history, friendliness of owners, and quality of products. The owner Dave went out of his way to give my wife and I a tour of the place and tell us the history of previous owners and stories about Mac Miller. You can really tell he takes pride in taking over the place. It has a very homey feel and we both thoroughly enjoyed our Reubens in the "backyard". There's no doubt I will revisit”
“First timer yesterday (7-25-2024). My rate is a 4.8 all day, everyday.
Helllllll yeah. You cannot go wrong here for ANY of your grocery needs. This is a "woke" spot, meaning they don't do ?? swine products of ANY kind, and I love it. Grabbed up a 15 pound pack of beef back ribs and a 5 pound bag of whiting for a fish fest come Sunday. Beef ribs at $3.00 dollars a pound is a steal, frozen and very meaty.
The deli is the highlight. I was taken care of by a beautiful sista that had mad knowledge of her station and even let my brother and I sampled before we bought, with an EXCELLENT attitude. Definitely be back for the deli game.
The ONLY flaw at this time of their transition is the hot foods. This location doesn't have the excellence in the kitchen game like the Strip spot. I think it's for the time being cause their CMU campus spot has waaaaay better food than the Hill spot.
This Hill market alone beats up on Shop n Save, Kuhn's and many non Market District stores so shop here with confidence. If you eat that tainted, tapeworm infested swine?? and its by-products, this place is ABSOLUTELY NOT for you. Great market, great customer services and great products will make this a competing staple in the Pittsburgh area for decades, if not longer.”
“Love this place, all high quality food at reasonable prices! And on top of that they’re keeping the Italian heritage of Bloomfield alive, I would greatly recommend visiting. Also, their subs are amazing!!!!!”
“This place is amazing! The shop attendant was so accommodating and cool as a cucumber even though the place was very busy. She recommended things, which definitely increased the amount of things I purchased! She had us try so many things I probably would have not even considered. The shop is also lovely and the pricing is good.”
“I was having my car towed to a shop to have it repaired and the AAA driver who was Towing my car spoke about this store I don't want to pronounce the name because I don't want to mess it up but this Market was everything that the driver said it was and what the driver said was that they had the best sandwiches well I was hungry one day and as I passed the store I decided to make a short left turn park my car and then throw off into that facility oh boy am I glad I did I got an Italian sub sandwich and I have to tell you this homemade sandwich that they put together was just awesome it was so delicious and to add a topping to that they had homemade pastries and I purchase chocolate chip cookies and their peanut butter cookies were to die for why do I say that because I'm a peanut butter cookie crazy woman I love peanut butter cookies so if you're ever in the area stop off at the family store it's a modest Market and they have beautiful fruit also it is well worth the efforts and the husband and wife couple that runs it they are so friendly so kind and attentive they definitely will see me again and probably again and again thank you”
“My family and friends came 150 miles to shop at this store. When we entered we were greeted by the amazing employees of this store. We were served at the highest level. The store had everything we wanted to buy and what we missed. Delicious sausage, squash caviar, Borodino bread, delicious sweets and much more and KVAS.... Thanks to these people for allowing us to experience the taste and smell of home. And yes...since we skimped on a large amount, they gave us more candies and chocolate. This is a nice bonus. Thank you!!!!!

“Their hours make it really difficult for me to ever make it over there. I wish they were open later than 4pm at least one weekday so I could stop by on my way home from work. Great selection tho”
“Wow! About time that got an authentic deli.
Pastrami was off the hook.
First time I found a knish in Pittsburgh after moving here 31 years ago. It was delicious
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.
I’m becoming a regular.”

“Best store to grab fruits and vegetables. My last stop in I was having issues at the register and took some time to get an employee to help, or I would have given 5 stars.”

“My boyfriend and I love coming here and grubbing on a le frenchi ? They’re 100% worth your money. They are huge and scrumptious. Not to mention the owners are awesome dudes ?”
“If you make the trek to Randyland, you should definitely stop at Mayfly.
Having said that, this business seems to be having an identity crisis. Is it a local high-end grocer? A lunch counter? A gift shop? All of the above?
When I arrived I was the only customer, but the person on staff looked confused by my presence. I asked if I could order a sandwich, as it was in no way evident that that was possible. "Yes" was the response, and I was handed a menu at the cash.
I was told it would be 10 minutes, which seemed like a long time at 11:30 am with only me, but ok. I then saw many people arriving who had ordered ahead, so that is always a good sign when locals are supporting a business.
There is a bench on the street in front of the adjacent house. Sit and soak in the neighborhood, which is very nice.
I took the sandwich to go and ate it later at the airport. It was great. Roast beef on nice bread with aioli, arugula and Swiss cheese.”

“If you live in Oakland Pittsburgh, you should go. A good place to get vegetables, deli, & Italian food. Food imported from Italy. Been here as long as I have, 20+ years, and with good reason. Not very big, very local. I should mention the deli, a big part of why I go.”
“This establishment employees are very untruthful. They lie. They pulled a special price and threw it away right before my eyes when I was ready to check out with a large order on 12.26.2024. The item was their 3 lb bacon price. I have a picture on my cell what the original price was. I am done with this company.
You all got my last penny. My hard earned cash spends elsewhere. U.S. Marketplace for sure.”
“Was looking for beef brisket (whole). Associate that helped me was very helpful and friendly. Was able to get two briskets I needed. Priced at 4.49 lb. Which is awesome.”

“Convenience with a flair is the name of the game at Bryant Street Market. The coolest sandwhiches with the finest meats and toppings have to be their specialty. The store is really clean for a neighborhood deli. Top quality food items are all that is sold at the store. Parking can be a bit of a hassle because of the way the parking lot is set up. When I have turned people on to Bryant Street Market they are quite impressed with the store.”
“I go there all the time very clean reasonable prices Nice produce meat department etc they even have pleasant young workers when you treat them pleasant as well!”

“Great prices and good quality food as well. The checkout process is convoluted and annoying though. They throw all the items in a cart. Even glass items and stuff like bread so they can either break or get smooshed. Also make sure to bring your own bags if you can. If not you can buy some there. Also bring a quarter for the cart.”
“Good selection, good prices, but often very crowded. They are very efficient at handling the huge crowds and the lines are shorter than they look. Docking a star based on the crowds and union busting stance of the company.”
“Don't go there hungry... This is the type of store where you can get out of hand grocery shopping very fast... It's great. Other than the strip district downtown where you pay to park, not here. It's centrally located to the "Monroeville" area. If Italian food is your thing, GO THERE. You won't be disappointed.”
“The location in Wexford is better organized and stocked but this place has all your Italian food needs. Not much of a vegetable section but this is December. A great place to stop.”
“I liked the place. A very cozy grocery store. I was able to go in and walk around the hallway. Nice environment to enjoy everyday things. The attendant was very kind.”
“Friendly service, my go to place for corned beef sandwich and its the only place I can get mint gingerale. Their individual meals are the best I can eat for 2 days. The staff is also willing to assist me with carrying my bags to ? for me.”

“A wonderful place that fills a long-overlooked gap in the Millvale food scene - actual groceries! Fresh produce! Really well-curated selection of local and small-producer goods *and* everyday household staples. Every time I'm there I find a fun new thing to try & add it to my basket. The staff are reliably friendly and enthusiastic about what they're doing - ask them for recommendations and what's new and you won't be steered wrong. Also, don't sleep on the sandwich and coffee program. Terrific espresso drinks that you can order and wander around with while you browse/shop. An asset to the community, my only wish is that it wasn't a 30 minute drive for me! Would love something similar in my neighborhood.”
“I love coming here, supporting local, supporting Gina, and enjoying a gorgeously curated selection of produce and food made by people in the community. This is a gift, a gem, and everyone should support this miracle of a shop.”

“Love coming here to peruse the shelves and get new things to try! I’m a creature of habit so being able to go and taste helps me try new things and they are always super helpful. They have a wide selection, I’m always pleased to see they have single cans just in case you don’t want to commit to a six or twelve pack of something you may not like. Also the staff is just super nice, good people, and always pleasant to talk to while you browse. This is a must visit place for non-alcoholic beverages if you’re in Pittsburgh, visitor or resident.”
