“I was having my car towed to a shop to have it repaired and the AAA driver who was Towing my car spoke about this store I don't want to pronounce the name because I don't want to mess it up but this Market was everything that the driver said it was and what the driver said was that they had the best sandwiches well I was hungry one day and as I passed the store I decided to make a short left turn park my car and then throw off into that facility oh boy am I glad I did I got an Italian sub sandwich and I have to tell you this homemade sandwich that they put together was just awesome it was so delicious and to add a topping to that they had homemade pastries and I purchase chocolate chip cookies and their peanut butter cookies were to die for why do I say that because I'm a peanut butter cookie crazy woman I love peanut butter cookies so if you're ever in the area stop off at the family store it's a modest Market and they have beautiful fruit also it is well worth the efforts and the husband and wife couple that runs it they are so friendly so kind and attentive they definitely will see me again and probably again and again thank you”

“You won't find another market that matches the rich history, friendliness of owners, and quality of products. The owner Dave went out of his way to give my wife and I a tour of the place and tell us the history of previous owners and stories about Mac Miller. You can really tell he takes pride in taking over the place. It has a very homey feel and we both thoroughly enjoyed our Reubens in the "backyard". There's no doubt I will revisit”

“Great huge hoagie made fresh for about 10 bucks or so just how you want them and everything fresh including veggies. I took 5 minutes to go in n out and got a hoagie made to order and everything needed to make fresh wedding soup and didn't break a 50 for everything in bulk and fresh even mini meatballs spinach carrots celery brothers ect. Employees are always kind fast and helpful”

“Don't go in here if you love your money. I don't say this in a bad way but what I mean is if you go in here with a budget in mind, you're bound to come back with 2X or 3X of that budget because everything here is so good. The first time I visited I was pretty overwhelmed because of the variety of brands but over time I have developed taste for certain brands. Everything that you want to make an authentic Italian Dish and more you will find here. My favorite section is the Deli which has a large collection of cheese, olives and cured meat. Definitely the best selection anywhere in Pittsburgh. I also love that freshly made pasta. The only thing is don't really buy stuff that you can find in a normal grocery store from here because it will be priced higher. Just go for the specialty stuff which you cannot find in a normal grocery store around Pittsburgh.”

“Its a great place to shop “Soviet” food with great variety. Small store, not as huge as Netcost Market in NY, but carries everything that my soviet soul needs. The owners are wonderful and hardworking people, never experience any rudeness or any other unpleasant experience. In response to some Mary: I shop there very often and never got any expired products. Funny that you mentioned Jmart: they are the ones with shelves full of expired products. Do you want to ask me how I know?”

“Love coming here to peruse the shelves and get new things to try! I’m a creature of habit so being able to go and taste helps me try new things and they are always super helpful. They have a wide selection, I’m always pleased to see they have single cans just in case you don’t want to commit to a six or twelve pack of something you may not like. Also the staff is just super nice, good people, and always pleasant to talk to while you browse. This is a must visit place for non-alcoholic beverages if you’re in Pittsburgh, visitor or resident.”

“A little confusing as to how to find the way in to the actual store, but once you are inside e prepared to be surrounded by tons of different types of proteins. Some fresh, some frozen, a lot was reasonably priced. The workers were eager to help you with the best choices for your needs and price range. I spoke with several employees regarding their experiences with the foods they were selling. I got several great recommendations! And a whole fresh chicken for $4.49? A whole chicken! I bought stuff for my home and my mother's, and filled two large brown grocery bags for just under $75. I will be back next month to stock up. Oh my parents had fish sandwiches, lobster Mac and lobster bisque. Delicious! The fries have to be soaked in something illegal, so addictive!! The sushi counter is cash only, and there is an ATM by the door. Andy was so gracious! I had to stand in line three times before I was actually able to order (didn't see cash only sign, had to pay the other meals elsewhere). The sushi was so amazingly tasty, fresh and very generously portioned that I didn't want to share! We will be back, and we will bring reinforcements! Thank you for the lovely experience! Things like this make us really happy to be new residents of the Pittsburgh area!!”

“Limited shopping here, but immediate fan of the space. They carry Leona's Ice Cream Sandwiches. Many, many varieties. Small menu items from the deli and looked like you can order them on the spot, so fresh!Lots of cheeses, crackers, oils, pasta salad, juices, yogurt, fruit. “I went with my boyfriend today just to peek in at the selection as he’s a huge fan of olive oils and balsamic. We had the BEST customer service experience we’ve ever received at an establishment. Bob, the store owner, saw we had bought kimchi from a local Korean grocery store down the street and tailored his recommendations to that plus our tastes. We were free to sample as many as we liked after his expert advice and selections. We DEFINITELY will be coming back after we run out of the Tuscan herb olive oil, garlic and mushroom olive oil, red wine vinegar, and four leaf clover balsamic. Can’t recommend this place enough for anyone interested in a good olive oil or enjoying a nice weekend in the strip!”

“I frequent this Trader Joe's. Although it's very busy on the weekends, the staff is always top notch. They're fast, lovely, and knowledgeable on their products. I have a friend that I regularly lose, as she doesn't carry her phone and will disappear for hours on end, often at the grocery store or running errands. She is a terrible cook, so Trader Joe's is her favorite to shop at. In a time of stress, I called Trader Joe's, as we weren't sure where our friend disappeared off to. The worker who answered was compassionate and quick, putting me on hold swiftly to circle the store in search of my lost friend. With a small description and a panicked customer, the worker spent time looking around the store for her. Although she wasnt there, and turned back up at her home, I really appreciate Trader Joe's sticking their neck out for me and my beloved friend. Thank you Trader Joe's. I will continue to return to a loving family environment, that's always taking care of their kin.”

“Nice location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well organized. Great prices. Nice selection of produce, bread, meat, and frozen goods. Bringing your own bags are encouraged, they only sell them there. If you plan on using a cart, you'll need a quarter deposit to unlock one. Always satisfied with my purchases. I like checking out the weekly finds isle, never know what you'll come across. Considering the price of groceries in this era it's nice to save a few bucks on essentials! If you enjoy saving money I highly recommend shopping at Aldi's!”

“Great prices and good quality food as well. The checkout process is convoluted and annoying though. They throw all the items in a cart. Even glass items and stuff like bread so they can either break or get smooshed. Also make sure to bring your own bags if you can. If not you can buy some there. Also bring a quarter for the cart.”
