“It's been decent ever since the revamp due to a fire that occurred a few years ago, if you are looking for some items that you need quickly, visit here as they aren't always busy.”
“Gotta be one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been too. So much history and kindness when you step through the doors, everyone was so warm and welcoming. Worth the detour by a mile. Truly a special spot.
EDIT: Right after I posted this, the owner (Dave) heard I was visiting from out of town and showed me the Mac memorial and Knick knacks above the shop. Gave me a full rundown on the history too and thanked me for stopping by. So grateful to have made it. Thank you FPM and Mac!!!”
“Got the Italian hoagie and it was the bomb...this is the place! Great vibe, friendly people, I'll def be back!! Old school and just an all round great experience. Thanks guys!”
“Excellent store. Good food. Ordered the biryani rice and chicken tikka masala, both were delectable. Love it! Got the lamb curry soup and chicken curry the second time.”
“Awesome non-alcoholic options! I bought a bottle of NA wine to celebrate a birthday and it was both delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning soon”
“Its the best cold sandwich in the city on any given day. Its consistent - quality bread, meat, cheese, veggies, good ratio of ingredients and it travels well. The thing that really sets this sandwich apart from other well constructed handhelds is the veggies - they really wash the veggies well; they are never gritty, they don't taste like dirt. Dylamato's knows what's up.”
“I went in today for the first time, I was so amazed at everything so stocked and organized and neat. I saw the Tea Selection I love herbal Teas a customer told me they take EBT I said ok thank you and was telling me about the fish jerky he was very nice and didn't judge me since I'm not Russian. I only live over the bridge from the market. I bought Tea and a few other things, the lady cashier was very pleasant and friendly as well as helpful. I definitely will be back.”
“Such a great spot. Their breakfast sandwich is so good. Lots of groceries and a really curated selection of local products/gifts. Mediterra bread in stock and a surprisingly nice selection of cheeses.”
“I stopped here on a whim and boy am I glad I did.
It was a small, reasonably priced grocery store. The dairy selection was great, I really enjoyed the little premade meals, the cut of meat I got from here was excellent & reasonably priced, but my favorite part was the cake.
I paid $2.50 for the most delicious, gigantic piece of banana cake. Upon opening it when I got home the wonderous scent of banana wafted up to greet me and the taste did not disappoint. I am driving out of my way to visit here again.”

“I haven't been to this place for a few years. I finally made it back. Got two Italian hoagies for myself and the wife. Everything on them and I choose no dressing so they wouldn't get soggy on the way home.
Heated them up with mayo and Italian dressing.
Holy cow! These were the best, loaded with plenty of meats and cheese and just the right amount of garden stuff. Better than any of the franchises and even a little better than my local pizza shop hoagies. I may have to make this a regular stop when I'm in Bloomfield.”

“All I wanted was a post-delivery Italian sub and my husband stopped at this Italian market for one. They were sold out of hoagie rolls but came through by making me this monster Italian on ciabatta. The sandwich is bigger than our baby and we had a good laugh. It was delicious and much appreciated how they did what they could to fulfill my long awaited cold Italian sandwich craving.”
“Gordon Foods in Monroeville, PA is very clean and organized. There is plenty of parking and an easy entrance. As soon as you walk in the double doors, large carts are readily accessible. The aisles are very wide and items are easy to find. There are bulk items for baking, cooking, entertaining, and catering. One bakers pro tip: they have excellent prepared cookie dough that taste homemade in a wide variety of flavors. They have full deli turkey breasts, ham, etc. They have high quality steaks and hamburgers. Their frozen section contains vegetables, fruits, breakfast items, casseroles, lasagna, etc. You really need to explore the variety to appreciate it fully.”
“This little market is now churning out BIG Jewish style delicatessen sandwiches made with the best corned, beef and pastrami we’ve ever had! No need for gold belly or trips to the city anymore!
Like Disneyworld for foodies! Billy Goat chips, Rodolphe le Munier butter, PSU ice cream and Vienna Beef under one roof?! We love this place!!”

“Now I never in Oakland because of traffic and other stuff but when I am visit the area my friend took me here once this was THE BEST FOOD I EVER HAD.. 10/10 Everytime I’m in area visiting all I think about is my Frenchies”
“A great Italian market with pre-made Boars Head Hoagies for a fast lunch. Homemade deserts in large and single serve portions. Cold drinks and a huge variety or candies. Great stop for lunch or to grab dinner for later.”

“I'm a regular at this Aldi's! They have a nice selection in the veggie aisle! And I love seeing what's new in non food aisle! Not really famous brand names, but their brands are surprisingly good! I especially like the Mama Cozzi Pizzas! I was skeptical when I first started going here, but once I tried a few things, I'm hooked! Fantastic prices!”
“The Green Market is our favorite place to buy fruits, vegetables, and other little groceries. Gina and Jules are wonderful people. We go just as much for the produce as we do to visit them.”
“This place has great hot take out sandwiches, pizza and soup for lunchtime M - F. Store has good deli, offers lots of Jewish holiday foods. Good variety of groceries for small store.”

“WOW!!! Come here and taste the olive oils and balsamic vinegar choices - amazingly great. Makes the stuff in the grocery stores seem completely tasteless. Subtle and extremely refined flavors here. You’ll be very surprised. Friendly and very helpful staff too!”
“Their hours make it really difficult for me to ever make it over there. I wish they were open later than 4pm at least one weekday so I could stop by on my way home from work. Great selection tho”
“The parking lot sucks but that’s not the stores fault. Prices are decent, ingredients are decent , the store is relatively clean and well stocked. Produce is always fresh. Lines usually move pretty quickly and the cashiers are always nice to my son while he stays in the cart kinda in the way.”
“I go there all the time very clean reasonable prices Nice produce meat department etc they even have pleasant young workers when you treat them pleasant as well!”
“I had such a wonderful time browsing around this place. It has such a charming, local feel with tons of fresh produce and unique items that you just cannot find at a regular grocery store. I loved walking through the aisles and checking out all the different goods, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. It is exactly the kind of spot I love to find when I am traveling, and I will definitely be back to grab some more goodies.”
“I was there first time.
Interesting place. I was surprised.
Like a Smaller version of Sams or Costco
Very nice place
Give this place a try.”
“Excellent staff that works there very helpful it's nice to have a local grocery store that does things the old-fashioned way instead of all this automation you actually have people that work there and they are helpful”

“Excellent value and small store makes a quick shop for essentials and a few treats a breeze. I love the Aldi Finds aisle and got lovely bath mats and an air fryer so cheap!”
“This place has a lot of different yummy finds! What made the experience even better was the very kind woman working there. She was the most friendly and kind person I've ever met. ❤️”
“Such a wonderful family-owned grocery store! The owners are older and incredibly kind and helpful. They have a wide variety of products, and even shared a Thai curry recipe with me that turned out better than any restaurant in town. Shopping here feels personal—they’re always ready to help, and the gentleman even held the door open for me when my hands were full. In a world dominated by big companies, businesses like this truly deserve our support.”
“The cashier's were EXCELLENT. And the price on a particular item, Made in the U. S. A., was surprising, the cheapest I've ever seen them, and I bought them all!
Keep the prices where they are at, continue maintaining & hiring employees like you have now, a 51 yo black lady & a 20 something white girl, thank you!
Now, if you want to start paying your staff $25 an hour, ask me how. I'll show you better than I can tell you.”
