“I was looking for a white/cream/tan sleeper sofa. I walked in to HFC on the advice of a friend, and asked the store manager for this type of item. He immediately showed me a couch just in, explained its background, gave dimensions and specs on the mattress, and said that this sofa is one of the best sleepers the store typically receives. I appreciated the context. I thought about it for two days, then called in and ordered it over the phone on the spot. I worked with their delivery partners that day to deliver it. The sofa was significantly less than similar three-seat sleepers at retail price. When I had the couch fully situated in my apartment - I saw it was the perfect color and size for the space! Overall, the HFC store manager was knowledgeable and professional, and the store had what I was looking for. Thank you, HFC!”

“I visited the sister store of The Velvet Shoestring in Williamsburg, Virginia a short while ago, and was impressed with the high quality and broad variety of furniture, art and craft pieces on display, as well as the reasonable approach to pricing. Although the shop in Wayne, PA, is smaller than the other, it still carries a large cross section of similar items, although in a much tighter space that requires some balance and dexterity to walk among. We were most interested in benches that could be used in both our living room for extra seating, and our dining room when we had more guests than our chairs could accommodate. Secondarily, we are always looking for unique Asian decor pieces to supplement our Chinese oriented home. After exploring the two floors (careful on those basement stairs), we didn't find any benches that suited our space requirements, but did look thrice at a leather love sofa, and even take its measurements. Given the pricing policy, we decided to look carefully at home to see if we could use this beautiful couch somewhere in our home and return at a specific date when the price dropped. A gamble, but we are willing to accept the risk that it may be gone. As to the Asian pieces, I was most taken with the beauty and skill of a lacquered low bench (see photo) that was nearly suitable for framing. Wife didn't see the utility of it, and thought it might suffer at the hands of visiting grandchildren. I knew better than to challenge her empress opinions, so I walked away from it. “This target is smaller than others. I only came here because I was looking for stuff from the bullseyes dollar section that I couldn't find anywhere. I went to like 5 different targets in the area. I was really happy I found some Disney rubber ducks here that I couldn't find anywhere else. I collect all different kinds of rubber ducks. The bullseye section was pretty small compared to other stores but somehow I found the ducks I was looking for both times. I don't know if no one really buys that stuff here or the staff do a really good job of restocking it. They had a lot of the Disney ducks so I was able to get 2 full sets and give some to my niece as well. I was also looking for peeps plush stuffed animals that I couldn't find anywhere and I ended up finding a bunch in the holiday section in the back on the top of a shelf. This target never seems to be overwhelmingly crowded either with so many people trying to grab stuff from the bullseyes section. Sometimes you can barely move there's so many people over there. We will be back the next time I want to get some other seasonal decoration from the bullseyes section. Haha”

“I love this target location because it's within walking distance from my apartment. The associates are always helpful, but one thing to note is that this store doesn't have a large collection, and sometimes you may find empty grocery shelves.”
