Pet Care

Jamestown Animal Clinic
30 Narragansett Ave, JamestownWe just moved to the area and needed to establish a primary care vet and get updated vaccinations for our two dogs. We met with Dr. Fain today and she is AMAZING! Extremely knowledgeable and kind. Best vet we’ve experienced in years. We have an older dog who has a lot of health challenges and she was so patient and took time with us and walked through everything. She also does acupuncture! Highly recommend!

Village Hearth Bakery & Cafe
2 Watson Ave, JamestownTucked into the quiet charm of Jamestown, Rhode Island, Village Hearth Bakery & Cafe is the kind of place that doesn’t just serve food—it creates a ritual. A morning here feels less like a stop for coffee and more like stepping into a warm, sunlit sanctuary where everything is made with intention, patience, and just a hint of indulgence.
The avocado toast is a revelation in simplicity done right—lush, perfectly ripened avocado spread generously across thick-cut, house-made bread that carries just the right balance of chew and crisp. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you why classics endure, elevated by freshness and thoughtful execution. Regulars rave about it for good reason—it’s one of the café’s quiet stars.
Then come the blueberry muffins—bursting, unapologetically so, with fruit. Each bite is studded with pockets of jammy sweetness, the crumb tender and rich without ever tipping into heaviness. It’s the sort of muffin that makes you pause mid-conversation, just to appreciate it. And the scones? Absolute must-orders. Light yet satisfyingly structured, they strike that elusive balance between crumbly and moist, with flavors that feel both comforting and elevated.
The pastry case reads like a love letter to butter and flour. Cookies—whether classic chocolate chip or more inventive creations—deliver that perfect contrast of crisp edges and soft centers, while the croissants offer delicate, buttery layers that shatter and melt in equal measure. This is a bakery that understands texture as much as flavor, and it shows in every flaky fold and golden crust.
But Village Hearth is far more than a pastry destination. The coffee program is quietly excellent—rich, aromatic brews and velvety espresso drinks alongside a thoughtful selection of teas that round out the experience beautifully. Whether you’re starting your day or settling in for a mid-morning reset, the beverage menu holds its own against the food.
Beyond breakfast, the kitchen flexes its range with a lineup of satisfying sandwiches, fresh, well-composed salads, and even thoughtful options for kids—making it just as ideal for families as it is for solo coffee seekers. House-made breads elevate every bite, turning even a simple sandwich into something memorable.
And then there’s the service—where this place truly sets itself apart. Sharon and Emily are nothing short of exceptional: warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. They anticipate needs before you even realize them, accommodate requests with genuine ease, and bring an energy that makes you feel instantly welcome. Being waited on by them isn’t just good service—it’s a highlight of the entire experience.
The atmosphere ties it all together: airy, inviting, and unmistakably local. Sunlight pours through the windows as families gather, friends linger, and the rhythm of the café hums along at just the right pace.
In a town where every great spot matters, Village Hearth Bakery & Cafe doesn’t just stand out—it defines the standard. A bakery, a café, and a cornerstone of the community, all wrapped into one unforgettable experience.

Slice of Heaven
32 Narragansett Ave #1166, JamestownMe and some friends were passing through on the way to the airport and needed breakfast. Such a cute area and a huge food selection. I got a clam chowder soup that really hit the spot. My friends got a variety of French toast and other brunch food. Huge slices of cake too that we didn't have time for but maybe next time. Also a cute little fireplace in the corner. A cozy spot to visit.
