Southeast Light Delights
122 Mohegan Trail, New ShorehamDelicious and generous lobster rolls and grilled cheese sandwiches. Best food on the island?

Ballard's Beach Resort
42 Water St, New ShorehamOutstanding, surprisingly affordable filet and lobster ($39!?) which was excellent. Nick our server was fantastic. Ballards is known as a party spot during the day, but after the ferries leave, it is an under rated restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

Kimberly's
238 Ocean Ave, New ShorehamFrom start to finish, everything was wonderful. The watermelon salad to start, was a perfect summer appetizer, while each of the swordfish dishes exceeded expectations. The special was especially delicious and unique! Dakota took great care of us. The outside seating was perfect and a great place to people watch. We would highly recommend!

The Old Post Office Bagel Shop
123 Ocean Ave, New ShorehamExcellent choice for bagel, breakfast pastries, and other sandwiches. Can be great for a grab and go on the way to the beach or to “dine in” at their patio seating outside. Reasonable island prices for a decent serving of food. Quick service, walkable to downtown BI and steps from the beach! 10/10 will return again!

Club soda house
35 Connecticut Ave, New ShorehamGreat spot on the island. The food is good, the yard out back is fun for the family. It's not fancy, it's exactly what it should be!

Beach Bar
32 Dodge Street, New ShorehamThis was our first time visiting Block Island and we decided to have our lunch here as it was dog friendly as well. Since it was off season we were able to choose where we wanted to sit with our dog without much distraction.
The food was amazing, we ordered the bacon and corn flatbread and one of the burgers, soooo good. Whoever took our order even suggested a great option for our dogs lunch, sorry I didn’t catch his name but he was there on 9May around 12:30pm and a huge thank you to him. He suggested the kids menu of grilled cheese but without the grilling, just bread and cheese which also came with a watermelon slice and a cookie. Our dog lovedddd the bread, cheese and the watermelon.
Overall food is pricey but the taste makes up for it.

The Landing at Champlin's Marina & Resort
80 West Side Rd, New ShorehamWhat a great place to eat when you are on Block Island, It's nestled in the Champlin's resort a shuttle ride away from town. I loved seating on the terrace with the view over the bay and all of the boats. I felt the presentation of the menu book could have been more professional but my expectations were far exceeded when the food came out. Well executed, beautifully presented and so flavorful. The seafood medley had the meat of a whole lobster in it! I will be back.

Mohegan Restaurant and Bar
213 Water St, New ShorehamAlways our favorite spot. The bartender, Alex is amazingly sweet - my wife's favorite person. Her espresso martini is perfection. Best mudslides on the island! The food is exactly what we're looking for. Something for everyone. Lobster Roll is my favorite. Right by the boat, so it's easy as your first meal off the ferry, middle of your trip as you stroll the main strip, or the last thing you have before you head out. I've also seen a couple people complain about having to wait. You're on the island, if you're in a hurry go back to Ballard's, or better yet, New York. Thanks, Justin & Alex! We'll see you on the Block!

Poor People's Pub
33 Ocean Ave, New ShorehamWe had a great experience at Poor Man’s Pub. The outdoor seating is dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us, and the atmosphere around the wood-fired oven makes for a fun place to relax.
The menu has a large variety of options, from wood-fired pizzas and burgers to pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. We ordered the 12-inch wood-fired pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and peppers, and it was excellent. The crust was light, thin, and had that delicious wood-fired flavor. I also appreciated that they used thin slices of sausage instead of sausage crumbles—it made every bite better.
The brisket sandwich was also very tasty and full of flavor. My only suggestion would be to serve it on a sturdier roll, such as a Kaiser or torpedo roll, instead of white toast, since the bread fell apart pretty quickly.
Overall, the food was delicious, the service was great, and the dog-friendly patio makes this a place we’ll definitely visit again. I’d happily recommend Poor Man’s Pub.
