“I love coming to this Queensboro location. Nothing but exceptional & prompt customer service. Initially I had no idea you could do things other than use the drive up teller to deposit checks but you’re also welcome to go inside the door to the right find their office & ring the bell. When you enter you are welcome to sit in their lovely waiting area while they help you out. I’d like to leave a special review for an employee there, Evelyn, who has helped me countless times. Even once being so kind as to bring temporary checks to my house as I was out, had a busy day and was in dire need. I hope everyone who reads this chooses to use this Queensboro location because you’re missing out if you don’t!”

“I use to hate to go inside of the branch but last week I decided to go inside and speak with someone and I'm glad I did. I had Ms. Walker and I was very pleased. I know i can be a bit difficult but she was so calm and patient with me. She took care all my needs and also allowed me to know some offers I was missing out on. She was not pushing anything on me which I was very glad of. She made my bank experience extremely comfortable and also kept me from closing my accounts and ending my relationship with them. Only thing I wish they do is open the windows back up. Other than that thank you Ms. Walker for my inside experience at this branch.”

“I recently had a strange issue with a wire transfer (the fault of a mortgage lending company) and needed to trace what happened and make sure that the lender was not a scammer. I went in to this BoA without an appt. and the manager, Aaron Webber, made time for me on multiple occasions. He took the case seriously and even spoke through the process over the phone with the lender to make sure that my account and money were safe. I respect his care, attention, and intelligence in this matter. He deserves recognition!”

This person was Karen, from the Contact Center, she reached out herself to the member and was able to assist. This member had been calling the 1-800 number but not being able to reach a live person and were very frustrated as they were on the road. Karen not only assisted them but help them understand how the 1-800 number worked. She also investigated and ensured the 1-800 number was working as it should. I appreciate Karen taking a hands-on approach to solve the issues and prevent the CU from potential losing a long-time member.”

“Update: Shortly after I posted this review, Mallory reached out to me as seen below. I gave her a call and she listened carefully to the details of my concerns. She put me in touch with Gary Wertz who resolved all of the issues I was experiencing in a matter of minutes. He also took an interest in getting feedback to improve their business. I am really impressed with their drive to fix customer concerns. While I wish I hadn't had to resort to a negative online review to get the assistance I needed, these two really came through! I am pleased to continue to be a customer at Security Federal Bank. I would encourage anyone who has concerns about their banking experience to escalate these concerns upwards- there are people at this bank who care and will help.Original Post: I am only giving this branch 1 star because 0 is not an option. This used to be a great bank, but now they will use any opportunity available to add fees to your account and make it difficult to utilize their services then blame you for the issues. I already switched to primarily using online banking a few years ago due to significantly better internet rates and only maintained a local bank for convenience. However, the atrocious customer service I have received recently from this bank has demonstrated it's not worth it. My advice is to take your money elsewhere!”
