Melissa is also SO thoughtful with her, she always comes back in the house with a flower on her collar, a new toy or a new collar and today she gave us the most adorable collar for her, and a toy mouse ? she is so thoughtful and such a cute idea! ? ?

1034 Wetzel Dr, FranklinOur beloved Bennie had a combination of issues when Heidi saw him that made traditional grooming a nightmare: separation anxiety, digestive issues (food-related & has now been relieved), and the assumption that every towel is a tug toy. The two times we had taken him to Petco, he had pooped on himself after they bathed him, so they were only able to bathe him a second time and weren't even able to get him clipped.Heidi washing him on our patio pretty much took care of issues 1 & 2 since he was somewhere he knew. She was also patient but firm when she informed him that the towels would not in fact be toys. She said he behaved well, which was such a relief, and he came out looking gorgeous! Bennie fresh after Heidi's groom is the background on my phone. <3

The level of compassion, communication, and professionalism consistently exceeds expectations. Dr. Paula takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer questions thoughtfully, and ensure I feel confident in every decision regarding my pup’s health. You can genuinely tell that the entire staff cares deeply about the animals they treat not just medically, but emotionally as well.
Appointments are always efficient yet unhurried. The office is clean, organized, and welcoming, which immediately puts both pets and owners at ease. The technicians and front desk team are kind, attentive, and responsive whether it’s a routine visit or something more urgent.
It’s such a gift to have a veterinary team I trust completely. I’ve recommended Animal Ark to everyone I know who wants exceptional, compassionate care for their dogs and I will continue to do so.

3046 Columbia Ave #102, FranklinHubby and I were out with friends another couple and were looking for a new restaurant experience on a Saturday night. A Yelp search for the downtown Franklin area suggested Serrato's might be a good option since one in our party is gluten intolerant. We called ahead to reserve a table, and we were able to get right in at 5:00. We were quickly escorted to a table in the center row of the restaurant. The table was lit by one small light in the center. The waitress gave us a bit of the history of the restaurant when we told her we were first timers - that was a nice touch. The menu provides a lot of options: salads, entrees such as shrimp and scallops, seared salmon, blackened salmon, bourbon-glazed pork chops, etc., in addition to a wide array of steak choices. Our table ordered the pork chops, salmon, and the shrimp and scallops entrees. Now, why would we order those items instead of steaks? Mainly price. Recognizing that beef prices are exceptionally high right now, the prices were more in line with those for special occasions or splurge nights, not a lazy Saturday night in January. Now, having said that, what we ordered was good - really good. I asked for bourbon glaze to go with my salmon, and it was delicious. Our biggest complaint, and it was unanimous among the 4 of us, is that the center row in the restaurant (where we were seated) was ridiculous DARK. We could barely read the menu options because of the low light. Additional overhead lighting in this area would be helpful. Would we go again? Probably. Will we order the pricey steak? Probably not unless it's an anniversary or other celebration.

I pray this place never closes as Franklin is the least dog-friendly town in the US I'd say, but Curio helps keep me sane. Will always come back!

North Arrow Coffee Company
406 Church St, FranklinThis is the best coffee spot I've had in Tennessee. I'm not really a coffee drinker at all. I basically just have coffee when trying a new coffee spot. My girlfriend is a huge coffee drinker, and we both agreed that this was the best coffee spot in Tennessee. What makes this place stand out is that the coffee actually tastes like the flavor it's supposed to. My pet peeve is when a coffee shop offers some flavored coffee and the flavor is so muted that it just tastes like coffee. It kind of feels like you wasted your money when that happens. There's a nearby coffee shop that I'm not going to name that we took my sister to when she came to visit. We hyped the place up based on the last time we went and then this most recent time we all got some seasonal flavors and it all tasted like plain coffee and made us look bad. Crema is the only other coffee shop I've been to that nails the flavors but North Arrow, to me, is better. The flavors at North Arrow are unmistakable and amazing. Southerners coffee also has a good Cuban but North Arrow is miles ahead. Not only is there the condensed milk flavor but what separates it from basically every other Cuban I've ever had before is this pastry flavor that I feel like I've had before some time in life but can't pinpoint. I also had the bourbon signature coffee and that was the single best coffee I've ever had in my life. I make it a point to talk about the general price and value in my reviews no matter the place. Not specific to this spot, but craft coffee is just expensive no matter where you go. It's a sign of the times. Those two iced lattes that I mentioned in this review, plus a 2.25 tip, came to a few pennies short of 20 dollars. Every coffee shop you'll go to will be a splurge these days, so if you're going to splurge, this is definitely the place to do it.

I have recieved a few emails or texts from different members of their organization in the two days since I got my pup just to follow up, make sure we are happy and more importantly how the dog is doing. My mom is highly allergic to dogs so they even washed the two pups and had them set aside for us to do a visit to ensure a clean environment to meet. They also answered all of my questions so graciously and stayed in touch for any questions post-purchase too. The whole process was so smooth and didn’t feel pressured at all.
