“We recently conducted a mortgage transaction w/ First Horizon in Hendersonville. Thor Beem was the Relationship Banker who handled our account.
I'm not a fan of large banks--old school I guess, as I like to speak and ask questions to an actual person. Thor kept us informed along our journey without having to be prompted to communicate. He acted as both a liaison with the underwriters and a consultant, giving us needed advice and frankly, calming me down (I can get feisty at times). Thanks to First Horizon and to Thor for a really good experience.”
“I have held accounts and banked with VSB since I moved to TN in 2004. I like to feel like my banker knows me and that is certainly true here. And it does make a difference. A small bank like this is a little behind some of the others with technology and I'm okay with that. Other banks offered internet and mobile banking before VSB and I guess the next "big thing" with come a little behind some of the conglomerates but that's okay with me. My banker knows my name and I know theirs. I believe banking should be a relationship business and VSB is exactly that. (If I want a coffee house, I will go to Starbucks-good luck with that Cap One)”

“My house has been serviced by Anthony Lewis for the past several years. He does an excellent job. He calls ahead to set up an appointment and always asks if there is a specific problem to be treated. He is always professional and friendly. “On Christmas Eve, my wife was on the phone with someone to straighten out a matter regarding an issue with a family member who recently passed away. We were instructed to go to a Truist Branch. We quickly went to a Truist Branch near our home and within 2 minutes, we were given a phone number to the Client Care Dept. We called the number and after several minutes, we were told this matter needed to be addressed by someone at a Truist Branch. It was very traumatic for us due to the circumstances. We were not impressed with Truist. Today, my wife and I were on the way home and thought we’d give it another try, but at a different branch. We stopped at the Truist Bank in Hendersonville around lunch time. Ms. Carollynn Hailend asked us if we needed assistance as soon as we stepped in the door. We sat down and explained our predicament. She listened and made several phone calls to reach somone who could assist us. To make a long story short, my wife was able to speak with someone who started the process for a resolution. Ms. Hailend was very tenacious and crucial in getting us to that point. Thank you, Ms. Hailend, for not giving up on us. You truly went above and beyond. We are very optomistic our concerns will be addressed. We’ve changed our opinion on Truist Bank.”
