Misty's Pet Depot
4500 Walker Blvd, KnoxvilleI have a very hyper standard poodle that needs grooming every few months. They've always been able to handle him, and his groomings look/ smell fantastic.Prior to this dog, I had another standard poodle, Buddy, that was a gentle giant. The last time I took him for a grooming he was pitiful. He was 15 years old and had trouble waking due to arthritis. Jimmy, (my favorite groomer) was so tender with him. He even carried my 75 lb baby boy to the car! ? That was an act of kindness I'll never forget!((RIP my sweet Buddy))I've used Misty's pet depot for years, going back to their previous location by target. Each time, I've felt as though they truly care for my pet, just as I do.Recently, I learned that they also offer boarding. This will be a Huge help to us during our next vacation! I'm excited to know there's a place I trust to keep my dog while I'm away.I'll typically find a new toy to buy in their shop as a reward for my dog after his grooming. But, they also have food, beds, leashes, collars, and other items for misc other pets. The shop seems to be a bit pricey compared to Walmart, petsmart, Rural King, etc. However, I'm happy to know I don't have to depend on the big box stores for my supplies. There's a good feeling when to know I'm supporting a small mom-&-pop store.

Concord School of Grooming
1310 Hollywood Rd, KnoxvilleNorthern Dog Owners! These guy's are a small business with a school attached. We told them we need a good blow out, bath and nail trim for our 95 lbs Alaskan Malamute. Literally the best we have had in Tennessee!!! Knocked it out of the park!! Side note though- for Northern breeds Especially Alaskan Malamutes and Huskies owners, you need to give them a full day to groom and lots of notice! I called and explained my concerns about getting a groomer that can handle the Fluffy butt! They took all day from 9 am until 4 pm I'm sure with breaks lol but that's the amount of time to get this look. She looks and SMELLS like "new car" dog smell amazing! Also, be reasonable some students may show up and get to work with your dogs and they will only do half price because they are learning...BUT honestly I don't care if the instructors do it, if she comes back to me fully blown out. Hats off to the team for a solid GREAT GROOM!!

Central Veterinary Hospital
3314 Mill Rd, KnoxvilleI have a cat that can get a little crazy when it comes to exams and shots. It’s hard bringing him in any where to get a check up. However, he could not hold food or water down so I brought him in today. The staff was nothing but kind, professional, and informative. Even though my cat was screaming bloody murder. They still did everything they could and more. I’ve brought him to other clinics in the past and most places treat him like a cat they don’t want to deal with. Not this place. I truly appreciate the entire staff for everything! I would highly recommend this place over and over.

Admiral Veterinary Hospital
204 Watt Rd, KnoxvilleBest vets around, hands down - they really care about your pet and listen to you when you have questions, as well as help explain things so you can make the best decisions possible for your family member. I wouldn't hesitate to see any of the 3 veterinarians at Admiral, but have to really also give extra over the top recognition to Dr. Stephanie Hickey, who has made a point to always try to fit in our high maintenance rescue dogs or my accident prone dobe pack anytime we truly need help - even when they're slammed.
There's a reason I drive well over an hour from my home to their door when I need a vet (and as a professional trainer and longtime rescuer, I'm picky, lol)!! Give them a call - you won't be sorry you did!!

Lovell Animal Hospital
1305 Lovell Rd, KnoxvilleThis place is incredible!! I would rate them a 10 star if I could. They saved the life of my German Shepherd, Rogue. When I first brought him in, he was running a fever. His infected elbow wounds were killing him. I brought him two to three times per week to get his wounds cleaned and wrapped. His elbows were infected with E. coli staph, and two other bacteria. It took two culture studies to find the right antibiotic to cure his wounds. Laser therapy also contributed to his healing. I had taken Rogue to two other Veterinarians who told me that there was nothing that could be done. I was not ready to put Rogue down. I am so thankful to Dr. Sherry Mellskog who took on the challenge of healing Rogue. Rogue is an aggressive dog and Dr. Sherry found ways to work with him in order to treat his wounds. When she could not be there, Dr. Cooper and Dr. McEnroe saw Rogue and contributed their expertise. They all contributed to Rogue's healing including the Veterinarian Technicians---Jenn, Brooke, Ashian, and Savannah. The office staff also helped Rogue in scheduling his appointments---Tara, Helen, Lynn, and Ashian. I have been to three different Veterinarian Hospitals and this one is the Best! I drive one hour and 40 to 50 minutes to get there. The quality of treatment is worth it! The environment is kind and friendly and they make you feel that your pet is special! I will forever be grateful and thankful to Dr. Sherry's medical treatment that saved Rogue's life! I highly recommend Lovell Animal Hospital!!!

Riverside Veterinary Clinic
1111 Sevier Ave, KnoxvilleMy family's dog, Luna (German Shepherd) has seen three different vets since we got her back in 2021. She's wary of people and was a little bit at first here. I HIGHLY recommend this office.

Balanced Paws K9 Training
11135 Kingston Pike, KnoxvilleLincoln, Megan and all the trainers at Balanced Paws are miracle workers! The first time I went in to talk with them I was crying because I was at my wits end with my dog. I was so anxious every time I walked him (every day) because he had begun lunging and snarling at everything that passed us. I had paid hundreds of dollars for training in the past but nothing was working with my five year old 65-lb GSP any more.
Lincoln and Megan trained me to train my dog, and they worked with him twice a week at Boot Camp. It took about six months but now I’m much more confident in handling my dog and I enjoy walking him twice a day.
I unreservedly recommend Balance Paws for any aged dog if you’re having trouble controlling unwanted behaviors.

10629 Lexington Dr, KnoxvilleVivi loves it here. We love it hear. Cage free. The dogs can walk outside on their own. It is like a deck surrounded by a privacy fence. They get to play inside and out. This place is spotless. There is always someone cleaning and keeping an eye on the dogs. They are divided by size. Vivi is in minor leave. She does get to play with other dogs so this is a great and safe place for her to play. She has stayed up to two weeks before when mommy had surgery and went to a place for intensive physical therapy. She is always tired when she comes home, which is a good thing. She loves to play. They are on Facebook and take pictures and videos on Facebook so that you can see your baby and know they are happy. Vivi wants to hug all the employees. I need to take her back and let her play again soon. I cannot imagine taking Vivi anywhere else.

Waggy Tails Pet Sitting + Dog Walking, LLC
5923 Kingston Pike #152, KnoxvilleI have used many cat sitters over the years - kids from the neighborhood, private individuals, and other franchised pet care providers - but my experience with Waggy Tails the week of March 11th was by far the best. Camille is such a naturally compassionate person - I really enjoyed getting to know her and felt that she bonded with my two senior cats right away. They usually seem like they are starved for attention after I've been away, but this time when I walked in the cats looked up like, "oh, it's you." and then went back to what they were doing. Ultimate compliment!

Noble Kava Ethnobotanical Tea Bar
2321 Sutherland Ave, KnoxvilleThis place is really cozy upfront, and has a large rec room in the back with pool tables and couches etc.
If you haven’t had kava, they are super knowledgeable and walk you through what to expect. This is the best kava I’ve had, numbs the tongue and then your body just settles in and relaxes while your brain goes a little quieter (for those with ADHD you will understand how valuable a little silence in the brain is).
It’s not a high, or inebriating but it does have a noticeable physical and mental effect.
Kava itself isn’t really very tasty, the shots are easy to down the mocktail drinks are well thought out to help make the taste of the kava more palatable.

Xul Beer Company
213 E 5th Ave STE A, KnoxvilleExcellent beer! This was one of the two breweries I visited in Knoxville and really delivered! The brewery was located in what appeared to be like an Old Diner or something and had a real interesting atmosphere. The beer selection was diverse and unique. I had a Baltic Porter that was excellent, very smooth and better than most Eastern European Baltic Porters I have had. At the request of another regular patron, I tried the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sour that was excellent! I am not usually a sour person, but the sours at Xul are sweet and dessert like and it was a very enjoyable beer (If I can even call it that). I look forward to coming back to this brewery on my next trip to Knoxville!
