The Hampton Inn Memphis-Poplar offers an exceptional service experience, with a friendly and helpful staff. The front desk clerk provided a wonderful experience, and the breakfast staff was particularly accommodating, making fresh coffee even after breakfast had ended. While the rooms are a bit worn and in need of renovations, they are generally comfortable, with quiet and clean accommodations. The hotel's location is convenient, though it is about a 20-minute drive from Beale Street. Overall, the Hampton Inn Memphis-Poplar provides a good value, with a pleasant staff and comfortable rooms, making it a suitable choice for visitors to the area.
Morning breakfast could be improved by more selections.

Overall good but did not have pool or gym open due to maintenance
July 2026
No exterior cameras around building except at front entrance. For customer security they need cameras outside. Fitness center was closed for maintenance. Pool was closed. They definitely need a remodel. If I was paying for this hotel room I would have been very upset and reviewed worse.
