“Great place for a large crowd get together, weddings, and work retreats! Rooms were great, clean and spacious with TVs, fans, and walk-in closets. Kitchen was amazing. Big Bear Cove Lodge had everthing to keep a snowed-in party of 30+ happy, comfy, & entertained for 3-4 days. Awesome property, and super close to Gatlinburg.”

“Excellent stay. Very nice rooms with a mini kitchen and common area for the standard rooms. Room was nice and clean when we arrived and very well stocked. Hotel had a new modern feel. Todd provided a smooth check in and was very helpful at the front desk providing breakfast hours, water, hiking recommendations, and personal hygene products that we forgot. Breakfast was delicious and included with muffins, yogurt, potatoes, waffles, eggs sausage, coffee and juice. Kitchen staff worked hard this weekend to keep it stocked on this busy labor day weekend and did an excellent job. Deep provided everything we needed including extra towels and water along with a smooth check out. All front desk staff was very kind and helpful but understaffed since they could use a second person to cover the desk when they are out and about assisting other guests. Great location and easy walking distance to the trolley stop and convention center. Short drive to dollywood or anything in pigeon forge. It was a wonderful stay and I'd be happy to stay again if I travel this way again.”
“We stayed in November and let me tell you it was a great!! Cesar at the front desk took good care of us and answered all our questions. He was so nice to our service dog Salem. We had one small issue with the room and he sent Tobin up there to handle it. Tobin took care of everything. I can't say enough stuff about how great the staff is here. The room was great and the breakfast was spot on. We had a good trip and the hotel certainly helped it.”

“Fabulous breakfast Great location front desk attendance Fabulous. Beds were medium shape, compared to other motels has alot better beds, person cleaning rooms kept forgetting wash rags we asked for our beds to be changed daily had to call service desk to get this done.”
“Lobby smelled clean when I first walked in, which is always a green flag. Room was clean and spacious, I loved that it had a living room area. Plenty of parking, even when coming back to the hotel late at night. Staff were friendly and overall, the hotel was well maintained. Free breakfast was delicious and had a small selection that rotated daily. Definitely enough food to fill my plate. The location was also great, about 15 minutes from Dollywood and 25 minutes from Gatlinburg. Walking distance from plenty of attractions like Dolly’s Pirate Voyage, The Island, Lost Mine mountain coaster, and plenty of restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it.”

“We stayed at the Music Road Inn Aug 2025 for 6 days 5 nights. The minute you walked in we were greeted by the front desk lady named Tanisha. She was so friendly. Tanisha went out of her way making sure everything was ok and seeing if we need anything. She absolutely loved our granddaughter who is 1. Every evening when she was working she made a point to talk to us when we coming and going. The lady at breakfast was also very pleasant. The Inn was very clean and well kept. The only issue we had was the outside kids splash pad the heater went out the 3rd night we were there and the water was to cold to let the 1 year old play in it but that was ok because the outside, inside pool and the lazy river was warm enough to let her play in. This Inn is wonderful and will stay again.”

“Beautiful Hotel overlooking the Little Pigeon River. Rooms are awesome with comfortable beds and a safe in room. Free breakfast and free tube rentals for the river. Very much worth the money!!”
“I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff was super nice and helpful. The breakfast wasn’t great but it was free. My allergies got really bad and I think it was because we were put in a room that had cats previously despite us not bringing a pet. The beds were comfortable. The indoor pool was good except I wish the water was a little warmer. We stayed in December.”

“This was a VERY nice place & location to stay while in Pigeon Forge. There was a communication barrier with the house keeping crew but they did a great job cleaning our room during our stay.”

“Stayed just for one night and it was nice. Clean and have a nice tv. All vending machines are stocked up and it’s quiet. Looks like they remodeled. Thanks river place for the wonderful experience ?”
“I been wanting to stay here ever since I came to the Island back in 2016. I remember seeing the rooms having balconies over the shopping center and areas and it being super beautiful.
When checking in here, there is very little room for you to pull your vehicle in the front next to the valet parking. As I found out later that the self parking is super far away and across the bridge over next to the general free parking to the Island. I think this hotel would have been excellent if they had a nice parking deck just for the hotel guest parking right next to the hotel over the river. If you have a ton of stuff to unload, it can be alittle annoying as you will need to get a dolly to unload and have somebody watch your luggage while you go park your car.
The front lobby is a bit small as l am used to having a large island theme lobby. Aside from the parking situation, the hallway was nice but the walk could get to be super long if you're coming from the lobby elevators as the rooms wrap around half of the island.
Each room has beautiful decor with fireplace and a balcony overlooking the village, water fountain, or river. The view is pretty over the village and the water fountain.
Price of each room is definitely pricey but you're paying to be staying on the hottest area in pigeon forge, the island. I would say this place would be the Disney Springs or City Walk of Pigeon Forge. Thank god the nightlife doesn't get too late as I would never get to sleep inside my room. I believe weekdays the Island closes at 10pm and weekends, it closes at 11pm.
The price is definitely worth the convenience of being on the Island. There also is a real Starbucks in the lobby, not a fake one.
I really like this hotel and would love to come back during Christmas time as I know it will be super crowded. I recommend you stay here if you wanna be close to the Island or in the midst of the action!”
