The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin is a large store with a wide range of items, including furniture and dishes. It offers good deals, especially on the right day, and many find the selection impressive. The service is often described as awesome, friendly, and helpful, with specific staff members noted for being kind and going above and beyond. The proceeds from sales fund Adult Rehabilitation Centers, supporting a good cause. However, the store can be very busy, leading to long wait times at checkout, and it sometimes appears understaffed. There are occasional issues with checkout computers being down. Some customers report experiences of being overcharged, advising others to carefully check their items and totals before paying. Despite these operational challenges, many customers find the store amazing and worth the trip, even from a distance, though the experience can vary.
Salvation Army has to be my favorite thirft store of all time, realistically speaking this location has to be the best in Austin. The prices are great and there's almost always a great deal going on. I never leave empty handed and enjoy every second looking through their racks.

Great thrift store! Better prices than the big blue thrift store (and the proceeds actually go to charity!), decent selection, and friendly employees. I picked up several cute teacup sets and plates, and glasses. I’m definitely going back to shop again.

Wide variety of items: clothing, furniture, housewares, and other random stuff. The employees are kind, helpful, and patient.
