My regular hay man didn’t cut this year. I had to have Great hay. These folks have been fantastic. I’ve now switched feed too from TSC. Again a little more expensive but the Turd Herd loves it. No problem switching over. And they are looking good.
I recommend Highly.

777 State Hwy 95, BastropI called and asked if they had chicks, the lady on the phone said yes, so I decided to drive out and check out what they had. They didn’t have what I was after but the gentleman in the store was super helpful and informative. He showed me the schedule for their chick arrivals and even though I am from out of town I will definitely be back by when my chick type does arrive. They also didn’t mind my son and I hanging around gawking at the baby chicks for a bit either. I’d highly recommend stopping by.

The only negative part of the experience was the initial “welcoming” I received from the front desk lady. She was slightly condescending and rude, not comforting in a situation where I thought my dog was going to need surgery and I was clearly frazzled. Probably not the best first impression, but the staff in the back are what made a difference!

The serving was two chicken legs with a hard boiled egg in the berbere stew - chili was dominant - the onion base was there but a bit hidden. This was all served over injera with more injera rolled up. There was fresh homemade cheese on the side.
I did add more salt to the dish as I felt it was needed.
The injera was perfect - a beautiful soft crepe to pick up the chicken.

We’re about an hour & 20 minutes away so we don’t get to go very often, but the 10 times or so that we’ve been there over the last 6 or 7 years, the food is always the same delicious food that we had the first time we’ve been, from the deviled egg appetizer, to the catfish & shrimp & all the sides it’s always worth the trip!! The last time we went was to meet our daughter to get the grand kids for spring break, and we usually meet halfway but she drove almost 3/4 of the way because she wanted to try the food at PawPaws!! It never disappoints!!

Roadhouse Bastrop
2804 TX-21, BastropMy expectations were a normal burger at a normal place with attractive waitresses. Boy was I wrong, this place was unbelievable and superpassed anything I could have ever imagined or come up with using AI. Upon arrival the rustic, old western shack style blew my socks off and we rode in over the giant curbs just like we were in old western wagon. The burgers tasted like deliciousness rolled up inside of a cigar of sublinmess and I never wanted it to end. The best thing about the whole meal was that it was free, because my dad paid for it. The waitress was not attractive, until I realized that if she let her hair down and took her glasses off, I think with the right lighting and decent amount of jiggling she would be stunner. All seriousness aside, it was one of the best places I have eaten at in a long time but that's just because i have no money. The wrecked suspension upon exit ontonthe highway so well worth it and I would sacrifice my rear end just to even glance at the building again. Love is not a strong enough word for the experience we had there today and the memory of Angus beef will live on in my heart, literally in my heart and ateries forever.
