Tomlinson's Feed
5716 Burnet Rd, AustinHow many pet stores are ever featured on a local tourist information center's website? I wouldn't be surprised if no other pet store in the country is also considered a tourist destination. Tomlinson's is a local pet shop specializing in pet products with integrity. The original Tomlinson's was the first locally owned pet store in Austin. Th Burnet Rd store has many things you aren't likely to find at the pet supermarkets. They have private rooms full of supplies where you can wash and dry your dog. They have an engraving station where you can make tags for your pet. And, they have caring, attentive staff. Right now, they are matching every pet food purchase with a food donation to our local pet shelters. And if you go in the playroom you can help socialize local kitties looking for their forever homes. Going to Tomlinson's reminds you that you love animals in a city of people who love animals too.

5900 W Slaughter Ln #480, AustinI went in couple months ago and asked an employee about dog foods for senior dogs suffering from joint pain. The vet suggested a very pricey food for me so wanted to see if Tomlinson had a cheaper option. Employee was very informative to tell me it’s better to get a liquid supplement instead so I thought I’d try it out! My 12 year old dog’s life has been turned around! She doesn’t struggle to get out of her dog bed and has been running around like a young pup for months now!!! Thank you ??

Barklee's Pet Salon Austin (formerly Sydnees) Same Owners! Same Team!
2300 Lohmans Spur #192, AustinWe've been to a bunch of different groomers and are the happiest with Barklees. The team here is very experienced and very easy to work with. They follow directions, care about the pets, and communicate proactively. When my doodle has had mats in her fur, they do a very good job at getting them out when they can, and minimizing spot shaving. They also do a great job of blending when things do have to be cut or shaved. I highly recommend them!

501 E Stassney Ln Unit 1011, AustinWe’ve been using Park and Bark for about 3 years now. My dog is 9, picky about people and used to be really anxious about the groomer, but when she sees Ramon (or his van), she runs right to him! I love how caring they are with my dog, how wonderful she smells afterwards and how quickly she is able to be groomed right outside my house. They’re always on time and it’s such an easy and low stress experience for both me and my dog. If you’re thinking about booking them for your dog, you won’t be disappointed!

Austin Pet Stylist
500 W William Cannon Dr #414, AustinWe love Austin Pet Stylist, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, kind and top quality groomer. Their prices are reasonable, their communication is great and the salon is a welcoming, inclusive place. We have brought two Pomeranians here (one with coat issues, and one who is a bit of a handful) and have received the best care.
Pomeranians are a notoriously hard breed to groom, due to their double coat, and if not groomed and cared for correctly, they can actually lose their fur. I spent a lot of time researching groomers in Austin, and felt very lucky to get in with Jade. We actually live about a hour away, and make a morning out of grooming every month.
Not only does Jade give the best cuts, but she is passionate about animals and even teaches a pet CPR class. Jade, Brittany and the rest of the staff have helped me learn a lot about Pomeranian care, products and well being over the past two years, and we are so fortunate to have them as our groomers!

I saw Dr. Pagel to establish my dog as a new patient. The vet tech was also so sweet and gentle with Lola - the microchip was injected without a whimper. Dr. Pagel had great energy, was gentle and caring towards Lola during the exam and made great recommendations on food, etc. She made sure to ask if I had any questions - never made the exam feel rushed. An overall positive experience. I’m now in the process of transferring my other 2 dogs from our current vet to Griffith.

Dr Dillon is our vet he is always so kind and helpful not to mention he is the sweetest to my little old 17 yo grumpy stinky dog ;) it makes me feel so good to have a vet who cares. The other thing that is so nice about their clinic is the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, and last but definitely not least going to the vet doesn't break the bank as many vets offices in the past have. I highly recommend their services. They were recommended to us by a friend, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who is need of a great vet♥️

Southwest Vet
8731 State Hwy 71 100 #100, AustinI can't thank Southwest Vet enough for their incredible help on Monday morning. My dog was experiencing a terrifying bowel obstruction emergency, and they were willing to change their schedules and find a spot for him. From the moment I called, their staff was compassionate and efficient. They got us in immediately, and the veterinary team was absolutely fantastic.
They explained the treatment options clearly, and provided top-notch care to my furry kid. Throughout the whole ordeal, they were reassuring and supportive, which made a stressful situation so much more bearable. Their prices were almost a 1/4th of another Vet in the area, which not only made it affordable but prevented a potentially huge financial burden!
I'm so grateful for their expertise and dedication. Southwest Vet truly went above and beyond, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any pet owner in Austin. They are lifesavers!

Lucky Star Dog Training
14901 Bescott Dr, AustinDuring the 3-week board and train, Aaron was very detailed on Canela's stay and provided all the pictures and videos which was greatly appreciated
I was so amazed to see all her improvements and accomplishments during her stay. At the time she went she basically only knew sit and to see her go from that to healing and having her sit and you can walk off was amazing to see
With my senior dog knowing basic commands but not fully trained like Canela. You can see a big difference and you can see how much life is easier having a full-trained dog versus a partially trained dog
If I knew about Jen and Aaron's training, my senior dog would have gone without a doubt. And if I happen to have another dog in the future they'll be attending as well. It's completely worth every penny
I tell as many people as I can about Lucky Star. You see the love and time they pour into your pup and they truly care for them
My puppy now has confidence she's no longer consistently in my senior dog's face. She doesn't chase my cat around throughout the house. She's not constantly jumping on me or other people. She's able to walk with tons of distractions outside without constantly barking
My house is now calm. I don't have her scratching my back door and peeling off the paint. She doesn't take food off my toddler's table anymore. She's not eating things she's not supposed to (toys, the wall, etc) or tearing up the grass it's like she's a completely new dog that found her place and she's happy with her new and proved self. And the best part with this change is that her personality is the same a big ole goofball
Also, I'm really happy that during pickup when they go over everything with you, they also provide you with scenarios and you get to practice them. That way If it does happen, you're not freaked out or panicked on what to do. You feel confident and prepared if something unexpected happens
Thank you Jen and Aaron for all the hard work and time y'all put in. It shows and I'm so thankful for y'all

Dog Training Elite Austin
7000 N Mopac Expy Suite 200, AustinPayton has been amazing to work with! We’ve completed 11 of our 12 one-on-one training sessions, and within just two months, our 5.5-month-old Goldendoodle, Cooper, became service dog certified.
What I appreciated most was how much confidence she built in both Cooper and me throughout the process. From training in busy downtown environments to feeling comfortable dropping his leash in high-traffic public areas, Payton was there every step of the way with guidance, encouragement, and expertise.
She doesn’t just train your dog…she teaches you how to be a confident handler too! I love that she gave me the tools and knowledge to continue reinforcing Cooper’s training at home, even when she wasn’t there. Thank you so much Payton!

K9 Kenny
9908 Woodshire Dr, AustinThere aren’t enough words for me to describe how great Kenny is as a dog trainer. He really takes the time to get to know you, your dog, and what you seek to get out of the sessions. I really appreciate how much Kenny cares about my dog, the progress my dog makes throughout the sessions, and how approachable he can be outside of the sessions.
He makes sure to send a detailed summary of the training and tips to make sure the techniques work, and will always answer any questions you may have. The difference in my dog’s behavior before and after the six sessions with Kenny is astronomical. Thanks to Kenny, my dog no longer pulls on the leash during our walks, is no longer reactive to other people and their dogs, and has shown many other positive changes.
I would definitely recommend anyone with a dog to set up sessions with Kenny because he truly is the best.

Fond Memories Pet Cemetery & Crematorium
1508 Ferguson Ln # B, AustinMy vet chose this cremation service for my beloved cat who passed in mid December 2025. The euthanasia moment shocked me — my head was spinning and I didn’t know what to ask or do, as it was my first time losing a pet. The vet’s receptionist reassured us they trusted this service and that my boy, whom I loved for 16 years, would have a private solo cremation service which I demand to have.
When I received his ashes package , I was deeply touched. Everything was done so elegantly and with great care. Nothing was missed — they even kept his unique tail fur, something I forgot to ask for.
I’m truly grateful for the compassion and respect they showed during one of the hardest moments of my life.

1156 W Cesar Chavez St, AustinI visited Austin Pets Alive for the first time today. I went to foster to adopt an older cat. They gave me so many supplies and plenty of resources. The way the staff takes care of these animals is beautiful. I can’t recommend APA enough!!!

Love a bull inc
2900 W. Anderson Lane, C-200 #304, AustinLove-A-Bull is a wonderful rescue and advocacy group!! It's an incredibly welcoming group, full of the best people! I fell in love with Love-A-Bulls mission and the work they are doing to improve the lives and images of pitbull type dogs. If you are looking to adopt, Love-A-Bull has so many amazing dogs, and always prioritizes match-making, finding a dog that works for your whole family! Volunteering with Love-A-Bull has truly been life changing for me and I would recommend this organization to anyone interested in volunteering, fostering, or adopting!

Neighbors Dog Park & Cafe
5609 S Congress Ave #220, AustinMy dog has been coming here for 4 months and he loves it. It gives him a clean place to play, relax and socialize. The dog-wranglers are all great. The facility is always upgrading and updating the space to make it clean, dog-friendly and comfortable for the owners. They also host community vendors and are active in the local community too! All around, I’m love that we found this community of people and dogs in south Austin
