1720 South Colorado Street, LockhartI CANNOT sing the praises of Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic any louder; they are professional, courteous, kind, and empathetic.
My family and I recently went through the hardest part of pet ownership, and the staff was incredible throughout the whole process and visit. I cannot thank them enough for how comforting, accommodating, and understanding they were.
We will absolutely return to them in the future (which will hopefully be for more positive visits like a check up).

561 Graham Road, Lockhart9/2021: got Alfie from Sandy's Kennels. He is a 6 month old Boston Terrier, the sweetest and most confident dog ever. He loves humans and loves kids. He wants to say hi to every dog whenever we go for a walk.He's growing up so well. He’s on the bigger side for Boston Terriers, his body is quite well proportioned, very square shaped. We walk about three miles a day and go hiking on weekends here in the PNW. He's thriving and his muscles are forming nicely. Overall, I am very happy with my Alfie. I'll get another Boston Terrier again from them for sure.Update 9/2023: My three Bostons from Sandy’s Kennels. They’re such sweet, good-natured dogs.

106 East Market Street, LockhartOmg. Best cold brew I’ve had in a while. The pecan toddy tasted amazing. I’m still thinking about it days later. Cute little coffee shop. The owner is very friendly too. Grab a bag of beans to take home. They’re so fresh.

The bartender has a wonderful accent and mannerisms combined with great customer skills. He is warm and welcoming and makes a mean watermelon margarita! A great place to relax and have a drink at the bar or pizza in the dining room !.. What is this place a bar or a pizza joint??? It's whatever you want it to be! They also sell pizza by the slice! This is a hidden gem! A MUST STOP WHILE IN LOCKHART!!

Lockhart Chisholm Trail BBQ
1323 South Colorado Street, LockhartWe have been here once before since we moved to Lockhart recently and the food was amazing. We went today because our pregnant daughter in law wanted their chicken fried steak, but it’s only available Tuesday and Thursday. Elliot said he had one or two defrosted and would hook us up because he understood the cravings of a pregnant woman. He made her night and again the food was amazing. LOVE THIS PLACE!

208 South Commerce Street, LockhartUpdate: Back after visiting last in January 2018. Guess what, still quite possibly the best barbecue I've ever had in my life. I consider myself somewhat of a barbecue snob and let me tell you that Smitty's continues to do it right.
I took my new Vietnamese wife and her sister (sister has lived in Austin since 2019 and sadly has not been). It was a sensory overload for them, especially the sister. So good, I am coming back next year when Auburn plays at UTa.
