520 High St, ComfortI cannot say enough good things about my experience here. I am a busy mom, wife and business owner and my two Great Pyrenees are often the last for attention. This beautiful boy was a matted disaster when I dropped him off with Kris. I told Kris to just do his best and I understand if you have to shave some spots. Kris said he would just take his time.
When I saw Charlie again I couldn’t help but let a few tears escape my eyes. He was so beautiful and well cared for.
Kris is patient, kind and treats your dog like his own. I’m so grateful and now we are on a 6 week appointment schedule so it won’t get that bad again.

I've had many pets and I've moved plenty over the years, so I've experienced the good, the bad, and the excellent. Alldredge Vet is and will be our "forever" vet for our fur babies!
Dr. Benji and Dr. Katie are excellent, as are Beth and Judy; everyone is like an extended family loving your pets almost as much as you do!
The clinic is quaint, big enough to do what's needed (full-service, including surgeries); too small to accommodate others... So you wait outside until it's your turn. They have a clean porta potty available if needed (it's clean - I used it!). If any of this turns you off, then look elsewhere. Personally, I prefer excellence for my fur babies, and I don't care about the country-nature of the waiting area!
I greatly appreciated learning about the different ways to address heartworm and flea prevention: from cost differences to how often they need to be administered - I chose the method that was best for us. (Regretfully angry from other vet experiences that offered only 1 or 2 options as "this is how WE do it").
From making appointments and reception, to talking with the staff & doc, to the updates (post surgery) and check-ins after, and the overall care and recommendations, and to the cost/payments: all 5 stars!
Alldredge Vet also does house calls! My first experience using Alldredge was sadly to help our senior dog cross the Rainbow Bridge. It was "time" (as she stopped eating and could no longer walk without assistance), and I wanted her to pass in the comfort of home. OMG, I didn't expect a eulogy, but Dr. Benji's words were better than I've heard at funerals! This was the most meaningful goodbye I've ever experienced. They were so patient and caring, truly exuding peace and love.
Services that we've received from Alldredge (thus far): house call for euthanasia, annual checkups and vaccinations, neutering of a dog, micro-chipping, nail clipping, heartworm/flea control (this review likely will be updated when something different occurs). We have 1 dog and 2 cats... Another dog will soon be added, and there's no question who'll be the vet!
Alldredge Vet Services is absolutely top-notch. Highly recommended!

Located inside Riven Rock Ranch, 390 Hermann Sons Rd, ComfortOctober 2025–Dinner at La Calabria which is a hidden gem inside the Riven Rock Ranch with great views, food, and service. The restaurant is open Thursday and Friday nights (4-9pm) and Saturdays (noon-9pm) with reservations available online via Toast. We were able to bring our dog and sit outside on the patio; enjoy food, drinks, and live music; and watch the sun set. Menu included in the post.

Comfort Pizza
802 High St, ComfortWe visited Comfort for a brief vacation and dined at Comfort Pizza twice. We had the Ogni Cosa and the Bubba. Both were delicious. Generously topped and well seasoned. And you can't beat their wood-fired oven for a wonderfully crispy crust. Their wine selections are very nice. We enjoyed the Bending Branch Rosé. Ty makes a visit to Comfort Pizza very relaxing and enjoyable. We will definitely be making the drive from Fredericksburg again soon. Thank you, Ty, for your hospitality!

The setting is relaxing, with plenty of room to sit back and enjoy a glass while taking in the Hill Country views. The wines are excellent, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to linger and return often.

104 Blue Ridge, Comfort#3 was excellent. Delicious homemade flour or corn tortillas. Tacos al pastor and asada were phenomenal on corn tortillas. Barbacoa on flour was also very good. Highly recommend this hidden jewel behind the exxon for authentic mexican food.

702 FM 289, ComfortI went to the Kendall County Animal Shelter for the first time today to bring a food and blanket donation. The two staff members were so incredibly kind and informative. The work they are doing to provide care to animals in need is amazing!
