Having recently spent over $1200 at a Bedford autoshop just to have my daughter's car still have the same issues, finding Japanese Autoworks was a great manifestation. From my explanation of what the car was doing and what the other shop claimed to have done, he took it from there. For the next two weeks he kept me updated on his findings, estimated cost of parts, and when it would be ready. “I was recommended here by coworkers, and both times I’ve had to bring my old car in they have been very thorough, honest and took very good care of my car. They make sure to double check everything and show you what they see, and when you come back in later they ask and make sure everything is continuing to run fine. I even heard a weird sound once and right when they were closing they told me to stop by to take a look at it. Turned out it was just a screw in my tire but the fact that they were about to close and still told me to stop by really said a lot. Ron the manager is very thorough and patient. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. They also installed a wheel bearing at one point, which did not fix my problem so they fixed the other side and just charged me only for the one, not two, since they had started with the wrong side. It was strange sound from the axle area and they were trying to diagnose. So I got 2 wheel bearings for the price of 1 which was great. They even told me to hold onto my receipts and if a future mechanic ever tried to tell me I need a wheel bearing I can prove to them I had 2 new ones. I thought that was pretty cool. They work with you and have specials online you can apply to the total sometimes too. I’ve been to other mechanics nearby that just were shady, guessing at what the problem was and did not give me a good feeling overall. Often condescending and even calling me “honey or sweetheart” as I’m a woman. I have had none of that with this car shop, just professional business. “12/2023 Came here for oil change and inspection on my Toyota. People were friendly, they accommodated me right away, though in the process, they had to order a new plug gasket and that took some time. In the end, I was there 1.5 hours (ouch!). Used the oil change coupon for synthetic ($59.99) and after the $9.99 gasket and taxes, oil change was $78.43 (with another $25.50 on top for inspection). Total $103.931/2023 Came here for inspection. They were friendly and I was out within 15 minutes.”

I used a 25% off coupon from my Kroger register receipt (saved $10.75), they promptly did a state inspection on my Jeep Patriot 4x4 and an oil change with the correct manufacturer's recommended oil viscosity (they knew it, passed that test).??? They offered me multiple choices on the grade/brand of oil for my oil change (nice).? They road-tested my vehicle, completed all my vehicle services, and had me rung up at the register in about 10 minutes flat.? Plus, I had great conversation with the team lead/shift lead or Manager. Everyone one worked as a team efficiently to make this happen. ? My state inspection paperwork was on my dashboard and they parked my vehicle next to the front door just as I was exiting.? This place is excellent for working professionals who need prompt service so they can get to work on time, back from their lunch break on time or home to dinner on time.? No oil leaks on engine or my garage floor either so everything was sealed up nice and tight.? They took down my email and added me to the preferred customer list, so I could receive monthly special coupon offers for various vehicle services. I received my first email with coupons this morning. Nice! ? I noticed they had comfy seats in waiting room, a small refrig for bottled water (empty, but I was in very early at 8 am) and coffee going for guests. I was pleasantly surprised. There was no hard up-sell on things I didn't need. A welcome relief from other place's hard sell. They also informed me my oil was too dark indicating I was overdue for an oil change (hint, hint, hint).? I have a window sticker to remind me now. ?
