To have a place like this to get care for your pet is EVERYTHING. Dr Hardegree was very informative and caring when diagnosing my cat. Then Dr Weathersby went above and beyond helping me today. I would recommend anyone looking for a vet to come here for your pet's healthcare.”

“I had a vet appointment this morning at this vet and it over exceeded my expectations. I never went to a vet before and didn’t know what really to expect. It’s my first time being a cat owner by myself I normally had dogs/cats with my mom and sisters so this is very new to me. I felt like everyone was so sweet and kind and it significantly helped that my cat is the chillest cat ever where he doesn’t mind strangers and being picked up. They gave him a treat which is great he deserves so much for being a good cat. They did an exam on him and explained everything through detail and I can see why the doctor has such great reviews. Everyone was easy to talk to. The vet bill was also lower than I expected I was thinking it would be higher due to being in Midtown but it was reasonably priced. I was a happy client leaving. :)”

“My experience since transferring both of my dogs to Neartown has been amazing!! Dr. Miller is truly wonderful!!! I’ve been at the ease since moving my girls here and with Dr. Miller’s approach to their care. I wasn’t pressured to make rushed decisions or overwhelmed with lots of treatments/medications, etc. Instead she listened and truly took time to become familiar with my dogs to recommend the best treatment. I feel confident my dogs will never be over medicated or in a constant state of change and that they will always receive the most professional and well-informed treatment plans. It doesn’t end with Dr. Miller. William, who scheduled my first appointment and handled my checkout, was exceptional. He made the whole process easy and shared what options were available for getting my dogs’ medication. Daisy greeted us when we arrived. She could not have been kinder or more welcoming. My dogs loved our vet technician Alexis!! Even my shy German Shepherd puppy. She was gentle and patient with them. I’m pretty sure they’d be excited to go to their next appointment just to see her…and the rest of the team. Thank you Neartown Animal Clinic!!!”
“dr garcia saved my dog’s life i’m not even kidding. before i met her, all the other vets said the growth on my dog’s paw was harmless and it was more trouble to address it vs leaving it alone. well dr garcia did some science stuff and looked under a microscope and discovered it was cancer so my dog was able to have her leg amputated before the cancer spread.
she also did so much for my family dog. my mom’s chihuahua had a lot of health problems including pancreatitis, heart murmur and diabetes. when other vets told my mom to put her down and that we were being selfish by not doing so, dr garcia told us that our dog was still happy and was just miserable at the moment bc she was sick. then with some medication and therapy changes, she became stable and happy again!! i know it’s what our dog would have wanted as well. i’m glad she was able to live the end of her life happy and loved vs being put down during her battles with pancreatitis which would’ve had a painful, miserable end for her.
after she died, we brought her to dr garcia to have her cremated. it was comforting for us to be with her since she’s done so much for us and our chihuahua, who actually liked her which is a big deal since she didn’t like many people lol.
aside from being an amazing talented vet, she’s so likable and funny, yet still kind and soft spoken. i don’t know the extent of her knowledge and experience, but so far i have been in awe of her abilities to treat our family’s pets while other vets have either failed or dismissed our concerns.
also the whole staff is great and the techs are so nice and the receptionists as well. i really like pedro. and i like how they play movies like the lion king or put on animal planet. it’s funny bc they’re animals. it’s like the tv is for them.”

“DR. Deschamps and her staff saved my girl Lita's life. Last Tuesday the day after Hurricane Beryl came through, I walked in my room looking for lita i couldn't find her anywhere. I finally found her under my night stand and i went to move her and she was limp. I pulled her out from underneath the nightstand and started calling my vet. no one was opened due to the fact no one had power. Brookdale was the ONLY place open. I pulled up and took lita straight in. The assistant was very concerned and helpful and took lita right away. i told her i rushed out so fast i left my wallet at home. Dr Deschamp gave me a quote on what it would be to get lita on the right road and i said "lets do it whatever it is please save her." The cost was in my range and i was so happy about that, because i have a blood disorder and monthly i pay anywhere from 300 to 500 on medications. The staff member said if lita is stable enough we may send her home with you to get your wallet because believe it or not weve had people abandoned their animals and not come back" that alone broke my heart. i couldn't imagine ever leaving my girl behind. Dr D trust me enough after we talked about what Lita needed, to go get my wallet and come back. i live down the street so it didnt take me long. i came back and made my payment. they ended up keeping her most of the day because she needed fluids and to be monitored with medications. they couldn't keep her overnight because they were running on back up generators and wouldn't have anyone to watch her through the night. i went to pick her up and couldn't believe the difference in her. i brought her back the following day. i had limited funds of only $200.00 and Dr. Deschamps words not only touched my heart but made me realize what a great dr she really was. she told the the assistant (who by the way, was amazing like the first assistant on that Tuesday) "i can work with 200.00" she made it work and Lita survived because of her and her staff. I know for a fact Lita wouldn't be here with me today if not for this dr and her staff. they saved her life. I wished there were more Dr. Deschamps in the world.

Dr. Stone (my pup's favorite) is super thorough; she alleviated my dog's GI issues and even called to check how he was doing after his neuter. Levi loves everyone here and is always excited to visit!”

“I called Julia's Pet Services requesting prie information for cat visits and insulin shots for my diabetic cat. It was a last minute accommodation because my cat got sick right before my trip. Alexa was super helpful and kind to me during several stressful calls. Thankfully, my cat ended up getting better and only needing diabetic food for the time being, no insulin shots, so I did not book the service. But I am grateful for the customer service and will be booking a regular cat visit on my next trip!”
