Yeah you need a quarter for your cart, yeah you need to buy your bags, and yes bag your groceries yourself too...but unlike the "other place" across the street, bagging your own stuff comes with huge benefits!! You CANNOT beat the cost! It's definitely worth all of it! I love the new insulated bags they've got too now...and they're under a buck!! Just remember to bring them with you on your next trip?Now let's talk about what you can find in here...I'll start with their wine and beer selection, OUTSTANDING!! I have found some of THE BEST wines I've ever had in this store, and at unbelievably low prices! The produce is always fresh, literally a fraction of the cost at other stores, AND it lasts longer too! The meat is better, again, fresher longer and cheaper. Then you've got all the little hidden gems hidden around the place, kind of like a fun little treasure hunt!? they have their own brand, but you will find name brands as well. Some things are better than name brand even! So go ahead and check it out...I promise you won't be disappointed and you will end up like me, a life long loyal customer ? another great benefit to mention also is because it's a smaller store, for ppl with issues walking around, it's much more pleasant because it's not a 6 mile hike to get everything you need, whether it's beer, wine, bread, snacks, meat, frozen, and even a nice decore section...it'd be pretty hard to not find all you need! I even did a little experiment...my usual weekly trip at another store ,just for basics, like milk, bread eggs, fruit/veg, snacks...no meat or full shopping trip...at other places suddenky costs between $250-300. I can go get the exact same items, for around $120. So what do you have to lose? Give them a try, I promise you'll walk out smiling instead of sick to your stomach...lolThank you Aldi!! “This H-E-B in Atascocita is another solid supermarket ?. I actually shipped in this one, and found everything I was looking for, well except for the tortillas that said La mita y la mita, The One I got said made with corn and flour so I hope it's half n half. H-E-Bs carry an amazing array of items, I am now viewing H-E-Bs as superstore supermarkets.
The checkout experience was pleasant, fun and entertaining. The staff is very engaging and filled with smiles.

“I've never been here before. I really don't feel right giving them a rating over this as my experience was expectedly unsatisfying. I got in a check from an insurance company over an accident that had happened quite a while ago for about $1, 000. It was in the mail when I got home Saturday night. I was looking for a place to get it taken care of on Sunday afternoon when I got around to it and the other places were closed. The ones I would typically go to like Ace Cash across the highway only offer prepaid cards these days, if I remember correctly from last time, which wasn't what I was looking for since there are mostly functionless. It would just take two to three days to transfer from that card to my bank account. Otherwise, I'd be stuck with it on that card and not get any rewards or anything that my bank offers and other accounts. I have set up with it. This isn't a little bit of money for me so I'd hate to miss out on those since I can use any dime I can get my hands on.
My buddy has mentioned that he gets this check cashed up here sometimes and lives just up Bender so it's convenient. I stopped in to see if they'd help me, what was told the check cashing is Monday through Friday only. There were no help at 7:00pm on Sunday. But neither was anyone else, So I have a difficult time blaming them for something I was skeptical of in the first place and therefore I'm just letting you know what happened and not leaving a rating. I took it to my bank in the morning which has been wonderful, especially as of lately when my income hasn't been what it was and they really helped me out the other day when I was in need. It's probably for the best.
I had some things I was behind on, though, and thought I would sleep better Sunday night if I was able to pay on a couple of them before I laid down. I don't know about that, but I know I predicted correctly that I slept poorly. That's pretty typical, too. I'm definitely not going to blame them for that. They did what they could do.
Well I never tried that before and apparently I'm forced to leave a rating. I won't hold it against them, so five stars it is!!!”

“First I went in there just to add money to my card. With a kind greeting in a heartfelt welcome buy a new assistant manager it seems. With a connection with her I felt like we knew each other for years , like going to the small towns only general store knowing everybody in town by first name, I walked out feeling truly glad I went there, this is no exaggeration. I asked her if she was the general manager and she said it assistant and I said well I used to work at Dollar general and if I had manager like you in any job, I would love to come work for you. Anyways she needs her own store or she needs to teach hospitality waited tables for 25 years, I know it true hospitality is it's something you really can't teach. What she had was not just walk in the door and somebody screaming hello, her body language it was engaging and I felt like she was glad to be there and she wanted to be there for anyone that was coming into the store. Not recovering not stocking the shelves doing planograms or anyting the store was perfectly clean and organized and she's didn't seem like she didn't want not be there like every store with a. Two thumbs up, what Tom Brady was to football she's got that as a manager or some of that running is any store, bravo.”

One must temper their expectations to accommodate the fact that it is not a "nice place" like Aldi's or other small grocery vendors. One most also be patient since checkout is slower than average compared to similar stores.”
“This location is amazing. I like the size of this Wal-Mart and I'm very happy it has a pharmacy. It saves me from going to the big Wal-Mart. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable and patient. The clerks also do a really good job at quickly filling the scripts and completing the check out process. I've never had issues with any of the regular staff and I've been shopping here for 8 years.”
“So, I been sick and unable to cook. So I stopped by and got me some warm beef soup with rice, tortillas, cilantro, onion and lemons. The flavors and the texture of the meat and vegetables were great. I enjoy visiting this store as not only you can get warm homemade style food but you can also get your groceries at one stop.”
“I've been with this pharmacy for the last 6 months or so. Just another pharmacy until.......Insurance dropped my insulin last week and I was in a panic. The lady walked me through the whole process. Wrote my doctor/Insurance on my behalf ,Went completely above and beyond with excellent communication. I wish I remembered her name, but she's an amazing person. HEB is lucky to have her knowledge and care.”

“I love this Pharmacy and I have been going here for nearly four years and I have monthly meds I take all the time that needs refilled and after surgery having even more meds that they take care of for me. The negative comments on here are just full of crap don't listen to anybody like that. When you go here ask for Lucy! She is a wonderful sweet employee! She's very understanding and very respectable to all of the customers.”

You can buy bags, or bring your own. Nevertheless, a quick purchase, or a months worth of food, is a no frills, decent place to shop.”
