“My significant other and I recently had to deal with a prescription issue involving medication that we already understood was ready for pickup. The situation became confusing because some of the information connected to the prescription had been entered incorrectly. Her date of birth and address/location information were wrong, and part of the issue also appeared to come from the doctor’s office not typing or submitting certain information correctly.Because of all of these incorrect details, there was unnecessary confusion when we were simply trying to make sure my significant other could receive her medication. We called the location ahead of time to try to understand what was happening. Unfortunately, the woman we initially spoke with seemed frustrated and impatient while we were trying to explain the situation and figure out where the problem was coming from. My significant other struggles with anxiety and does not always do well under stressful situations, so I am very thankful that I was there to help advocate for her, communicate clearly, and bridge that gap when things became overwhelming. When we arrived at the location, I noticed the same woman speaking with Shelley. Even then, her body language appeared irritated. I saw her walk away and roll her eyes, which gave me the impression that she was frustrated with the situation. At the same time, I understand now that this was not necessarily a simple issue. There were mistakes in the information being entered, including problems originating from the doctor’s side, and that made the situation more complicated for everyone involved. I do not know what the woman may have been dealing with that day, and I do not hold a grudge against her. People have difficult days, and stress can sometimes affect the way we interact with others. I forgive her for the lack of patience we experienced, and I sincerely hope that whatever she may have been going through gets better. However, I still believe that a little more patience and a more thorough investigation into the incorrect date of birth, address information, and the way the prescription was entered by the doctor’s office could have helped identify the real problem much sooner. Most importantly, I want to give a huge thank-you to Shelley. Shelley showed amazing patience, professionalism, and a genuine willingness to investigate the situation instead of simply giving up. She took the time to look beyond the confusion, figure out what was actually happening, and help us work through the incorrect information. Because of Shelley’s patience and determination, my significant other was finally able to receive her propranolol. Thank God I was there with my significant other, because I will always do my best to stand beside her, advocate for her, and keep pushing for answers when something important needs to be resolved. And thank you again, Shelley, for your incredible patience, understanding, professionalism, and willingness to look deeper into the situation. You helped turn a stressful and confusing experience into a resolved one, and your kindness truly made a difference for both of us. Shelley J your amazing 🤩”

“This location seems dimly lit, making the store seem dark and depressing. Produce choices are a hit or miss in quality and quantity. The meat department offers very few choices in quantity of each item and in choices of cuts of meat. The soda isle never has 12 oz canned Diet Sprite. On the plus side there are several friendly helpful employees. This location is decent for a quick need but not for completing a weekly grocery list.”

“This is the closest grocery store to my home. A few days ago during the crazy arctic weather event, without power and deep in caffeine withdrawal, I went there hoping for supplies and coffee from the Starbucks inside. Unfortunately Starbucks was closed. I noticed that about half of the lights in the store were out. Apparently, they'd lost power and were not able to sell the food that had been refrigerated or frozen. They also looked understaffed. Still I was able to find fluids and foods that didn't require heat to eat. During my search for supplies and while checking out, it was noticeable how kind and helpful the employees were. I'm sure they probably had their own concerns from our weather impacts. They seemed to understand and were compassionate about the shoppers' plight. My gratitude and respect the the store's staff and leadership for offering what they could during this most difficult time!”
“I went to Kroger Bakery to get a birthday cake. The girl behind the counter was super nice, friendly and helpful. She also did a great job writing on the cake. She should be a calligrapher :) The whole store was spotless as usual. The cake selection was small however, but I THINK you can place a special order in person or on the phone. If you're looking for a pre- made cake this is a great place to get one, but if you want a larger selection of already made cakes you might need to try elsewhere. Their cakes are also a bit overpriced for the size you get (as compared to the competition). Good luck. :)”

Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
