I have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X with about 180,000 miles on it. On April 14, 2026, I went to pick up a family member from work. I had been sitting in my Jeep for a few minutes with the engine off. When they got in, I started it back up and shifted into reverse, but the gear indicator started blinking. I put it back into park, and that started blinking too. A few seconds later, the check engine light came on. I had no idea what had happened. The only thing I had done that day was get an oil change.

To make a long story short, I had three different mechanics look at it. The first said everything appeared fine, but they wanted to bring in an electrical technician to diagnose it for around $300, and then I'd still have to pay for whatever repairs were needed. The second shop told me they couldn't help me. The third shop, which was local, told me I needed a brand-new transmission that would cost close to $10,000.

At that point, I was completely overwhelmed. This is my only dependable vehicle. I work basically full-time, and paying for Lyft and Uber every day was adding up fast. I was trying to figure out whether I should save up for the repair, buy another vehicle, or even take out a loan. I was actually getting ready to borrow the money, but something kept telling me not to.

A few of my coworkers suggested I call a transmission specialist instead. I started researching shops around the Houston and Humble area, reading review after review, and eventually came across this business.

From my very first conversation with the owner, I knew this was where I wanted to take my Jeep. He immediately explained his plan for diagnosing the problem instead of jumping straight to replacing the transmission. Throughout the entire process, he kept me updated, explained exactly what they found, and let me decide how I wanted to move forward. I never felt pressured or left in the dark.

The best news? I didn't need a brand-new transmission after all. Most of my transmission components were still in great shape. One internal part had failed, so they performed a partial rebuild instead of replacing the entire transmission. That honest diagnosis saved me thousands of dollars.

My Jeep honestly drives smoother now than it did before the repair. You can tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers and the vehicles they work on.

It's now been two weeks since I picked it up, and everything has been running perfectly. The stress and uncertainty I had been carrying around for weeks are finally gone.

“My daughter's AC was working on and off the day before she was supposed to drive back to school in Kentucky. She was also having trouble connecting her phone via bluetooth. Ehy does this stuff happen at the worst posdjble times? I called John who asked us to bring it in right away to see what they could do to get her on the road.

He ran his diagnostics and found she needed a new head unit which was covered by our extended warranty (thank you Carmax). They also replaced something for the AC (sorry, it's been a few weeks & I don't remember the name of the part). They had to keep it an extra day which was completely understandable. He went above and beyond to call into BMW to get her navigation maps downloaded with no time to spare. It took us 30 minutes to get to the shop and he had driven to BMW and back before we even got there!

All in all, John is a treasure. He has earned our business for life. We love our BMWs ❤”

“This company did a great job on my 2017 titan xd. My transmission wouldn't shift past first. I called my normal transmission guy and he doesn't work on anything past 6 speeds. I called two different dealerships and was told I would need a new transmission at $10,000 their cost plus installation. I found this company using Google maps. I talked to the owner and he told me that it was probably the valve body and to bring it in. Got it to him and he diagnosed it as a bad valve body. He was right. They put in a new one and it is working perfectly. The price was great. I am happy I called them. They saved me thousands. This company is honest and they do great work.
