“LOVE THIS PLACE! This is my comfort food right here. The rice is always delicious. The plantains are always fresh and yummy. I typically get either the carnitas or the chicken. I love there food. Def recommend.”

“Prices may be a bit higher than some of the bigger chain stores but service is always friendly and they have an ample supply of what most people need and it is nice to shop in a place that is not packed with long lines and overcrowding! Their deli has a nice set up as well and prices are more than fair there .”

Great H-E-B Fuel location on West University. Pumps are always clean, prices are competitive, and it’s easy to get in and out. Staff is friendly and the area feels safe and well-lit. One of the best fuel stops around—highly recommend.”

“I visited El Rancho in Odessa, Texas while preparing for my daughter’s bridal shower. I went in to purchase tortillas for a discada, and a gentleman named Miguel helped me out. He was incredibly friendly, full of charisma, and went above and beyond to help me choose the right type and amount of tortillas for the number of guests we had.
It’s always good to visit a store where people truly enjoy what they do it brightens your day and makes you want to shop and come back. That kind of positive energy makes such a difference, unlike some places where the meat packers or cashiers don’t even smile or acknowledge you with a simple hello.
If you ever need to place an order or need help deciding what to get, Miguel is the one to ask for! El Rancho also has a great selection of tortillas flour, maize, corn, and even ones perfect for making huaraches.

“I live on the east side of town so I go to the east side H-E-B a lot, but today I went to the west side HEB and I know from previous experience that it is a much nicer store than the East side but today they showed me again how much better they are than the Eastside store I am disabled and I was using one of their motorized buggies, which by the way on the east side they're broken down none of them last long enough to do your shopping. The one on the west side fully charged not broken down much much better experience. When going to check out, the cashier came around to me and said I will unload your basket for you, they do not do that at the East side. The store is so much cleaner at the west side. The people are so much nicer. Everything's organized better I just want to say kudos to the people running the west side H-E-B.”

“There’s a lady who works there who is by herself a lot of the time, it seems. She is the sweetest and nicest lady. She’s always working hard and it’s not right that she’s alone! They need to give her a raise and hire another worker at least to help her out. She’s awesome! Other than that this store seems like it may be falling behind because of the low staffing. Other than that, you can tell she does her very best in helping customers and also doing the other things required of her. Instead of opening more stores they need to give these employees a raise!”

I guarantee you they're going to leave everything in there and refreeze everything when they get their freezers fixed. I wouldn't buy any Frozen or refrigerated goods from them for at least a month.”

“Great variety of items that you will find on your regular dollar general store with the add convenience of a market (fresh meat and vegetables). “The aura and ambience was absolutely delightful. When I walk in the store, I feel at peace with my inner being. Immediately I was greeted by an attractive young latina who said "hi, welcome to HEB!" She was well maintained and probably should've been working in the bakery section with that cake of hers. Way better than the associates at the local Walmart. Here everything truly is better. Although I couldn't get her snap, I do plan on returning and rizzing her up. I believe that I have met my future ex-wife and now HEB will forever hold a spot inside my heart as the place where I discovered true young love.”
