“I love HEB however the parking is horrible at this store and you walk for miles once inside looking for your items. They did not do a very good job at organizing items grouped together for easier shopping. Customer service at checkout is great but they need more staff on the floor to answer customer questions when shopping”
“I love coming to this store. Great food and it's always clean. The employees are very efficient and friendly. The Store Manager Derrick is so nice and helpful. He remembers me when I see him in the store. Aldi's saves you money, their store brands are sometimes better than name brands!!”
“This store is right down the road from my place of employ, you can often find me there around 1600 M-F picking up things I forgot to get during the weekend store trip. Pretty good deals most of the time IF and only IF you sign up for the brookshires card, it's free so why the hell not right? No brainer lol. Not very busy most of the time, unlike our big box BLUE and WHITE store (wink wink), rhymes with Tall-Mart. If you enjoy beer they have a large selection of micro brews as well as the big 3. They do have their own butchery so the meat selection is pretty epic, I would say HEB and Brookshires are head to head in that department especially with all the other awesome grillable food items they have. All in all I would probably shop at Brookshires full time but "Tall-Mart" (?) is closer to my house. Great place, ill be there today. If I have to give one negative about it, there are a couple of cashiers that really need to learn how to talk to people as their attitude needs an adjustment. Other than that no complaints and a nice respite compared to others.”

“Always have a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, sometimes a little pricey, but the quality of the produce is usually very good. Sometimes the price is missing on different veggies or fruits, but gladly this is the exception, not the rule. The checkout folks are always friendly and professional, doing their best.”

“The new Aldi in Midlothian is laid out so well that it seems larger than most of the existing Aldi locations in the Dallas area. Well stocked, great selection and good prices on many everyday items.”

“A very convenient store with all you need. It's your one stop shop. Great prices, great products. Oh, carry or buy your shipping bags. This store does not give you plastic bags for your items. You will need a quarter to take a trolley but you get it back when you return the trolley.”
“This rating is on 1 in particular employee, Nakeidra. The few times I have gone in, this chic is on point! Nakeidra is bubbly and friendly. She greets you as you enter the doors, and as you check out in the express lines. She oversees and monitoring 9 self checkout machines while keeping the flow of the lines MOVING. Not only does she assist you with your questions, but if need be, I've watched her suspend your transaction, then retrieve it at her post and finalize your purchase. Nakeidra knows what she's doing!!! Very polite, customers service driven and definitely deserves an Atta Girl and recognition a job well done! Thank you, sister, for being you!”

“I loved this place! I was having fun, shopping and enjoying the products and reviewing items to promote this location as I found it affordable and exciting, until today. The owner I do believe, informed me no pictures are allowed after I shopped around quite a while intending to help her make sales with people I know who also were in the market, making it fun and she shut it down unprofessionally. Unprovoked, she ruined the sales she would receive from exposure. I saw no signs that pictures of products inside are NOT ALLOWED but she rudely waited by my side to bully me into deleting the fun clips I had taken. Too bad for you! Learn to enjoying yourself. Your business will only grow with exposure, if and when you do the right thing. Until today, I believed this company to be excellent. No one's perfect...
In life, many times, business owners could handle issues MUCH MUCH BETTER than they do and I have examples but will focus on what I love: positive reviews for those who deserve it. I hate giving less than 4 stars. This lady almost turned her 5 star business into ZERO.
But I will be fair, and credit her with affordable prices.
If you ignore the rude and controlling owner, the place is worthwhile to shop. If you enjoy a fun & light-hearted shopping experience, AVOID THIS PLACE. (You're welcome...)”

“I've come to know Thom Thumb over the years as a more upscale, specialty item store. You come to expect a certain service & standard. I usually have no problems. Hence my 4 star rating for Thom Thumb overall.
Desoto, TX location:
Husband put in order for graduation cake 2 weeks ago. He asked the woman if he needed to leave a down payment & needed to call to verify cake order. He was told no. Cake would be ready & pay when cake was ready. Went to pick up cake on Saturday, May 28th and the bakery didn't see the order. So we ended up with no cake for graduation party that day. It was too late to order another one from Thom Thumb or anywhere else. Very unprofessional. Usually when I've ordered cakes from Thom Thumb at other locations, there's been no problem. This is the first & last time I'll ever order another cake from Desoto, TX Disappointed especially around the deli and prepared food area. No it had nothing to do with customer service or an unclean store. It's the lack of specialty items that I've grown accustomed in other Thom Thumb stores. Even the meat in the "lunchbox" was cubed instead of shaved. It was different than what I usually buy in other Thom Thumbs. I was also looking for sushi rolls but none. Also the hot soups station was non-existent. I felt like I was in a glorified Walmart. Also I know it depends on what people buy in the area. I was a little disappointed in this Thom Thumb.”

All the people who work there are pleasant one of the managers Omar is a very very nice guy and the man behind the counter is always pleasant with every one of us. “I often come to this heb, only 5 minutes from me, and I'm never dissapointed. Like most hebs the hospitality is always great and the options they have are amazing. I always buy my fruit, veggies from here because they have some amazing fresh options. On this day i bought a fresh red snapper to grill and i have to say it was amazing. Fresh they descaled it for me as well.”
