“My sister in law gifted me some converse for my birthday which ended up being too small so I went up to the store to see if I could swap them for a bigger size without the receipt and the lady that worked there was so nice and helpful! I think her name was Kim but I'm not 100 percent sure. I was in and out of the store in less than two minutes. When I got home I realized that even though I tried on the shoes at the store they were still a bit too small. I must have gained some weight in my feet the last couple of years because 8 and 1/2 converse used to fit me perfectly. I have social anxiety and I almost never return stuff so I was embarrassed to go back up there and trade my shoes in again but Kim (once again not 100 percent that's her name) was so helpful and understanding! Now I know that I'm a size 9 for converse ?. I think my feet just got fat with the rest of me. Anyway had a great experience would recommend!”

“Academy is always a reliable place to find basic to some not so basic sporting goods needs. You can almost always find good deals on clothing (even better on clearance items). We usually shop for baseball, fishing gear, and clothes and find unique items other stores don't carry. The only con I can say is there is hardly ever any help out on the sales floor. But, this has become pretty common with most big box stores now. But we still love coming here!”

Last month, Foot Locker Inc. reopened its flagship store at 112 W 34th St. in New York City, as part of new retail plans. The store introduced "Home Court," a basketball-focused shopping area created with Nike and Jordan Brand. The updated store offers a basketball-themed shopping experience. It combines customer service with the newest products for use on and off the court from several brands.
