“We checked in and the hosts were super nice. We checked in Fri, Oct 22 in the evening. Once we got situated, I came back to front desk and told them it was my sons 16th birthday and we didnt quite make it back home yet. I inquired about restaurants around town. Susanna the hostess(I believe that was her name??) told me of a Ramen restaurant. Perfect! While we were talking the gentleman host put together a little gift bag for my son and presented it me to take to the room for him.
It was so precious!! What a sweet gesture and they both went far beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you so much! These two hosts I hope get some recognition because it was awesome! My 16 year old was tickled by it and was so excited for the Ramen restaurant.
Food and drinks: Their breakfast is fabulous! The whole spread...plus some! The hostess was super kind, responsive and interactive with the guests! She was amazing and on top of everything making sure items kept stocked. Best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel!!”

“I was just passing through. Julia, at the front desk, treated me more like a returning friend rather than a traveling stranger. Bailey, the bartender, has an outgoing, upbeat personality of someone that anyone would proudly call a friend. The place is now flagged in favorites.
Rooms: The room was spotless. Taken care of with obvious professional pride.”
“Owners are over the top nice! Rooms are cleaned from top to bottom! I got fired from there today due to saying I didn't do bathrooms and mopping.That is what I do..my co worker makes the beds and does wipe downs. She blamed it all on me today on my day off. I wasn't there to defend myself!!!

“Beautiful rooms that are spacious and comfortable. Has large walk in showers and rooms are individually controlled by an outside unit...no unit inside which makes the rooms better controlled and a bit larger”
“Hubby and wife get away. The staff was amazing friendly as all could be. breakfast was full service breakfast items. The cook was awesome tremendously sweet kudos to the Texas shaped waffles. The office had a little mini grocery store, no vending machine which I really like this idea you just go pick your items up. You check out. The room was very clean and spacious it were very nice. The only thing the bed was very hard and we had an opening in the ceiling where a smoke detector was gone, but the rooms were spacious with a little loveseat for you. I just wish they had a TV in that area for you to watch . The lobby was very nice clean. They have cookies for you if you want one and they have coffee at the front door when you come in the pool was OK. It was locked up. We didn’t get to the pool all closed though.
Rooms: Very big , bed was little hard. Microwave, mini fridge. Lots space great view.
Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
Safety: We felt very staff in this area.
Food and drinks: Nice little general store for items. Breakfast area very nice . Lots of items to choose from.”

“We had a good overall experience with checkin, a clean room, and breakfast. The pillows were all very hard and thick and the mattress was also uncomfortable. Even with a white noise machine, you could hear constant footsteps above you which made it hard to sleep. We tried to refill our water bottles before we left for the morning, but the water from the fountain had a yellow color to it.”
“Cute and quiet when I stayed here.The air conditioner is high and in the closet, took a while to cool the room. The fridge was off, so I can not review that.There was only one 120v outlet in the room.There are two 240v outlets!No outlet was grounded, so electric car charging is not available.There is a public fast charger just two blocks away at city hall, by the monument”

The bug problem has been addressed years ago, bugs are nature, if a door is left open and is contaminated, then it will be addressed. “Ms Joe was amazing. My friend and I were really stressed out during check in. I only had Apple Pay available and had to wait for a family member to come and use their card. Ms Joe was very kind and patient with us. She let us borrow her umbrella when a surprise thunderstorm hit. I don’t visit Texarkana often but will be coming back to this hotel as long as ms Joe is there. Thank you so much for your kindness.”

“Conveniently located right off the highway, near plenty of restaurants and other businesses. The rooms are worn out and need remodeling pretty badly. The ice machine was broken - a definite miss. But that aside, things were clean and the helpful staff even shipped me a very expensive cervical pillow I accidentally left - couldn't ask for better service!
Rooms: Rooms really need a remodel. They're starting to fall apart and are just outdated and tired.”
“I’m really not understanding all the bad reviews.. My daughter and I just stayed a month there and it was perfectly fine.. Honestly the staff was so gracious to me.. I’m disabled and had forgot my fan at home and they instantly brought me one.. And I’m sure that’s not provided.. Granted it’s a older motel and one could say it’s a little worn with age but still it maintains a dignity of grander days.. This was the third time we’ve stayed here and would stay again.. The staff is so friendly and helpful and free Wi-Fi, free parking and the rooms are clean.. Oh and did I mention the Waffles? Yummy with a choice of coffee and juices.. The rooms are cheap and agreeable I have to give a Five Star review.. Thank you..”
“They are still getting things situated for they took over Holiday inn Express there so they are changing things to the Wyndham Gardens specifications.
Noteworthy details: Wyndham Gardens in Texarkana is in process of getting the rooms back together after they repaired and repainted the rooms and new carpet and they were still open for hotel service”
