“I've been to a lot of bookstores over the years, but King's English Bookshop has a charm that's hard to find these days. The selection is thoughtfully curated, and it's easy to discover books you weren't even planning to buy. The staff is genuinely friendly and happy to offer recommendations without being pushy.

The atmosphere is warm, quiet, and welcoming, making it a place where you actually want to slow down and browse for a while. Whether you're looking for a new release, a gift, or just a relaxing stop during the day, this bookstore is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.”

“Oh my God I love this book store so much. It is the cutest little shop. It's so welcoming and decorated. They have gems of books, the workers are absolutely delightful to talk to, and there's such a community focused feel. There's stickers and zines and local author signs and prints everywhere and it adds so much love and whimsy to the shop.

Teachers also get a discount, so if you're a teacher looking for books for your class visit here! You'll find some great stuff”

“Absolutely delightful little bookstore with a good selection of used and new books. The guy that runs it really knows his stuff and was able to make a great recommendation for me off an author who is mostly out of print just based on my interest in Jane Austen. Definitely will be coming back here”

“Had a great reading with Andy - really enjoyed the energy he brought to the reading and the genuine interest in my experience. This was my first visit, they’ve really created a beautiful space, looking forward to my next visit!”

“A fabulous shop. I was introduced to A Correlated History of Earth on an Adventure Canada trip and it blew me away. I’m 80 and I thought this would be such a great infographic for my grandsons as we’re often trying to place historical events on a timeline. I’m sure this will get a lot of use. Thank- you.”

“We love this Deseret Book location! It is always so beautiful and clean! The staff is always so friendly and helpful!
We always stop by and get the BYU Creamery Ice Cream! Spencer helped get us the ice cream last and he was able to get our ice cream out fast and was very professional!”

“Nice place to get a cup of coffee, escape, and remember the joy of finding a good book. In our now 100% online world, B&N reminds me of good conversations with friends while growing up, finding that hard to find Stephen King novel, and Christmas shopping. I am glad they are still around.”

“Nice, air conditioned store
We were looking for a children's coloring book for very young children based on gospel themes. There was not much selection. We went with two magnet books and one coloring book that we found. Several staff members walked past but none offered help. The front desk was really nice and check out was great!”

“Stopped here to grab this gorgeous book with my Starbucks ?☕️
The store was so relaxing and quiet.
My sons enjoyed looking at the books. We even grabbed some books for our son’s upcoming birthday.”

“I'm not Mormon but there's a good BYU Creamery ice cream shop in the back corner and an interesting collection of religious artwork to look at while eating your ice cream.”

“This is hands down my favorite bookstore. They always have such a fascinating and unique collection, and everyone there is wonderful and helpful. I love that my dog’s been able to come in too! I’ve bought old cookbooks from the 1960s from my dad’s home country that I use day to day, super interesting old maps of the GSL where the boundaries are still undefined and in indigenous languages, special edition copies of my favorite books, and so much more. I’ve never left empty handed!”

“I can't lie, I came to this place because I was craving ice cream. They didn't have any. Apparently, deseret isn't the fancy way to spell dessert. However, the people were good people and the prices were good enough. I ended up buying a beautiful painting of jesus and a statue of some warrior. I left and went to Cold Stone. Delicious ice cream there.”

“Annie who owns the shop is the sweetest. She has a great collection of books, and a variety of genres. Great discounts. And the shop itself is so quaint and cozy. Such a welcoming vibe all around. Highly recommend.”

“They didn't have the items we were looking for but the employee called to other locations and found what we were looking for and had them sent to this location.”

“This was such an incredible toy store! They had a wonderful selection, wonderful employees! We have a similar store in North Carolina in Greensboro, but this store I feel like had a lot more varied selection, some really good Legos, good Monster Jam selection, a lot of cool puzzles and a lot of unicorn themed toys for my daughter.

Great find today!”

“Accidentally hit a sale and LOVED the books I found. They were half the cost of Amazon which was shocking to me! Absolutely recommend going in person. Loved the ambiance they had.”

“Nice place, delicious food, pricey textbooks as always but that's college. This place gives you free utensils and plates as well as bags if you ordered any sort of food that requires it. There's also a coffee dispenser which is great, lots of college people need some good coffee to get them through a tough semester filled with a ton of work. I personally like the ice cream they bring here, surprising that a college bookstore has ice cream but yes they have ice cream and it's delicious, my favorite one is the snickers ice cream. I scream for ice cream! Really delicious, anyways, they also have art supplies in here if your an art major, yes it's pricey but that's the cost of making amazing art. Love this place, very great very good very clean just has everything you could possibly need. Yes! Yes! Yes!”

“They are very nice here. I love this location. The only reason that this review is not a 5 star is because of the distribution area. Most of the petite sized items on the very top shelf of the very tall shelves. I'm short and should not have to ask every time I want something down. I recommend placing the talls at the top and the petite near the bottom, just a thought.”

“The bookstore is amazing! There are used books in brand new condition and a lot of them! I found everything I wanted in addition to some gifts that they sell. There are some very nice gifts in there and I was pleased to get some amber on a necklace for my daughter. Everything is very reasonably priced, and the employees were very helpful.”

“Great customer service. I called multiple book stores looking for swedish books with no one really being of help. When I called here he offered to special order me in what books he could. I was even able to get my wife the one book she specifically had been looking for.”

“Wendy was amazing during our visit. We are out of state visitors and of course we wanted to do all the “touristy” things including souvenir shop for family and friends back home. We had been to a few other places in different parts in and around Salt Lake (again not too familiar on all places) and nothing compared to the service and attention we received here. The other toy shop we visited (Mochi something) didn’t even greet us the entire time we shopped around so we decided to take our business elsewhere.

Wendy on the other hand greeted us right away in a genuine and friendly manner. She made herself available to us with all our questions and she even took my 5 year old seriously and helped him.

As far as the shop goes it has a little corner of the store with toys that children can play with. For those who have children especially small ones, understand that it’s hard for them to see toy and not want to open and play with them. This small area is big enough for a few kids to play a bit while you look around and shop.

The prices are very reasonable and at different price points. They don’t mark everything up just because it’s a “touristy” spot. Making it easy to say Yes to both my kids on multiple items of their choice.

Overall I recommend this place.”

“Chris and Bryan are unquestionably the best in the business, and always have a broad and wonderful selection of working books rather than just collector's items (though their options there are formidable as well)”

“Excellent little deli. Sandwiches are always amazing and the daily specials are awesome as well. Prices are reasonable. Staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Love getting lunches here. Give them a shot, you will not be disappointed.”

“Overall very clean they have a lot of different options between snacks and entertainment. The snacks have a huge variety and selection to be able to choose what you want and there was lot of variety of drinks. They were carrying Pepsi products and had coffee, energy drinks, etc.”
