“Friendly service that speaks English lots of tobacco products that she was from lots of drinks and snacks to choose from smoking paraphernalia and tobacco paraphernalia products there is no gas pump here it is not as great of a store as it was back in my youth before it was sold back then you could get fireworks and all sorts of goodies here it's pretty much standard store with your average needs for a convenience store”

“Hands down the best food lion in the area. I drove 30 mins over the mountain to shop here after my local food lion in Salem let me down. The bakery, deli, cashiers, check out lines 1,000,000% better than Salem's on Wildwood. Better selection and variety. Salem never checks their expiration dates, and at least 5 times I've bought expired food, they will not refund or exchange. I found nothing outdated or expired in Daleville. Totally worth the 30 min drive over the mountain. Salem needs to learn how to operate like this food lion. My cashier Dustin was awesome, polite, attentive. Asked if I couldn't find anything, he'd go grab it. A breath of fresh air. Thank you Dustin. And Thank you Daleville Food Lion!!! Top notch compared that hell hole in Salem. Earned a loyal customer today.”

“If you haven't been to the Heritage Market, you definitely need to put it on your stop list. Amazing fresh cuts on made to order sandwiches for lunch! We stop every time we are working in Fincastle for lunch. And an incredible selection of spices and all other great things! Wonderful staff, and all around, a very cool place to check out.P.S. - the 12 flavor gummy bears are my all time favorite!! Wonderful texture and incredible spot on flavor ?”

“After driving hours and hours, finding a place like this that had very good, warm ready-to-go home cooked style food was amazing. The fried chicken was excellent in and of itself, but along with the green beans and apple cobbler that came with it, it was perfect! I also had a few meatballs and a piece of pie. The best ready-to-go food I've had in a long time, and all for around $13. Not bad at all. The service was very very friendly as well. I highly recommend this place!”

“The Food Lion on Plantation Road NE is Wonderful! The staff is quick to help if needed. The shelves are well stocked and the store is clean. We recently moved and the Food Lion on Bennington in SE was our go-to. I do NOT miss it at all! Dirty, disarrayed shelves, and the employees either seemed too tired to even smile much less speak, or had an attitude like they were being bothered by having to ring up the groceries. And the managers who changed every other week were worse than the cashiers. If possible avoid this store. Go to the Food Lion on Plantation Road NE.”

“ode to the bonsack food lion bathroomyou found me miles from home in an all-green outfit,a little high and full of piss.despite the strange looks from your store’s patronsas i marched, unfamiliar interloper, through the aisles, your welcome was tidy and warmwith floors of mismatched sepia tile -oddly both rustic and shiny -thick beige dividers like in a church restroom -and a solid toilet with a flush handle -a toilet that makes you feel at home.i unloaded the caffeine and sugar water of the dayand baptized my weary hands in a handle-controlled faucetand foam soapand grabbed a box of shortbread on my way out.the cashier was dancing in place to smash mouth’s“i’m a believer”and i felt safe at last.”

“I'm my opinion Food Lion is better then most/ all grocery stores that I have visited. They always have friendly cashiers. The managers are always willing to help out. It's never a really long line. They don't have the self check out where I'm from. Other stores in my area do so I'm not sure if this is a Food Lion thing or just my location. The prices you can't beat anywhere else and who doesn't like lions?”

“Coolest shop downtown. It's snacktopia, with an impressive array of ready-to-drink beverages, an appropriate selection of touristy/local swag/apparel, and cheap/healthy deli options without the dine-in price tag. They gave away apples and bananas to trick or treaters for Halloween. ?”

“I go here mostly for gas fill ups. Usually very competitive pricing. Only issue is if you use debit card you pay 10 cent more per gallon at pump. A bummer there. Sometimes a short wait to get a lane available to fill up.”

“A true neighborhood market. Abe and Chris are both just wonderful people and Abe always has your back. The customers are locals and become family after awhile. The tables here are the best in the area and given many of them a try. Head on in for cold beer, all your basic home needs, great selection on vapes and 2 fun fish tables.”

“Actually called the "Route 24 Grocery" now. Undergoing some renovations and a facelift. Nice place, very friendly service. Gas is a teensy bit expensive but it's all ethanol-free. For my biker brothers and sisters out there, ALL ETHANOL FREE GAS. It's a short hop (maybe 5.5 pleasant miles) from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take the VA-24 East exit at Stewartsville. They have gas, convenience items, local honey and some produce (varies by the season -- as it should!) and some lawn/garden/flower things. Right now (Apr '18) they've got big flats of pansies on offer. Closing time seems to vary a little bit by traffic, but they're open until at least 6 daily. Old fashioned and quaint, this is a NON CHAIN convenience store/small grocery that's worth a visit.”

“Like shopping there, usually get pretty good deals. Was looking for a ham for Christmas, picked out 2 nice butts for $1.09 lb. Checked my rec, didn't show the discount. Was told and showed the sales paper you had to spend $30 to get the discount. Didn't say that at the meat area, just thought was another good deal. Returned them both, too pricey for my budget, didn't need the extra $30 in groceries. Guess I'll check around for a ham for Christmas somewhere else, but another lesson learned.”

“Please get a good selection of bag cat food. We get our groceries there but it would save us a trip to another store if you would have a selection of bagged and canned cat food. Thanks! Other than that this grocerie store is Always Awesome! & love it!”

“This is a tiny store packed full of just about anything you can think of. Mostly Mexican but some other specialties. The aisles are very narrow so everything will fit. Friendly, but mostly Spanish speakers here so don't expect a lot of attention in English. Fresh foods and kept well stocked. A bit pricey but that's the price to pay to keep a small business in the city open and have these items available at all.”

“Dollar General needs to do a better job checking expiration dates, have come across so many expired items, and I'm talking sometimes months and months expired”

“Great local grocer. Have many foods you don't commonly find. Chicken liver, freshly ground sausage, salt fish, whole hams, fresh local eggs. Best selection of flour and corn meal in the area. If you need something you can't find they will even order it special for you.”
