Kut & Fluff Pet Lodging and Grooming
16352 Lee Hwy, BristolWe left our English bulldogs for a week while we were on vacation and Kut n Fluff was amazing. Despite of the remodeling and not having the cameras for us to check on them-we were able to call and check on them anytime and also get photos of them. Walker was great in letting us know they were doing great the whole time we were gone and made us at ease.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Aroma Coffee House
4863 Lee Hwy, BristolWe tried the hazelnut latte and mocha were really good! The syrup was very subtle so we could actually taste the coffee, which was a delicious South American variety. The avocado toast was alright (a small one toast portion) and tasted fresh.

Southern Craft BBQ Bristol
15 Commonwealth Ave, BristolI really have no idea where to start this review.. But I would like to start out saying that usually there very few places I've ate at that I would say are perfect.. No matter how good the food or service is , to say everything was faultless would be hard for me to do. Of course there are exceptions.. And Southern Craft is one of them . Before my wife and I moved to Bristol Tennessee, this was always one of our favorites.. After all, driving 1 hour and a 1/2 should tell you pretty much what we thought of this restaurant... Now that we're here, and only minutes away. I've had the opportunity to try about everything on the menu and eat here at least 2x a week.. And not 1 time have I ever been disappointed with anything... Ever... Period...
Right off the rip this restaurant is beautiful, actually rustic ... Almost frozen in time so to speak.. They turned this building into a restaurant without tampering with the authenticity of its former self.. I also love the fact they keep it clean... Someone is always cleaning, the floor, the tables, the booths... I would also like to add that the lighting is perfect, dim but not to dim.. I hate going somewhere to eat and feel like I'm getting ready to be interrogated... I know most people probably don't care about this.. but for me, it's a deal breaker..
We've been waited on by everyone their at some point, even sat at the bar and ate.. Once again no misses, everyone there is so cool, especially the manager, he's busy but always has time to thank you for your visit and don't hesitate to ask if you need anything.
So we've covered everything but the food.... Oh my goodness, you talk about delicious... Everything is awesome.. I've tried about 90% of the menu.. but if I had to pick a few favorites I'd say for starters the smoked wings with dry rub... Cowboy cornbread or the pulled pork BBQ with tator tots...
They have 2 types of Tacos, pulled pork, and spicy yardbird.. doesn't matter which one you get there both incredible..
On the burger side of things I have 3 that I love... The killer B, The firebird and the fire water.. again doesn't matter, pick 1 and enjoy.
And lastly I'd like to say , my wife and I can eat here cheaper than we can go to the grocery store and fix supper... My son and a his friend went there and got a couple burgers and appetizer and hardly spent $40.
This place is probably the biggest hidden gem in Bristol.. So now that you know, go see for yourself, promise you won't be disappointed.

Council Oak Steaks & Seafood
500 Gate City Hwy, BristolMy wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Council Oak in Bristol VA. I have ate steak at many high end restaurants, but will say in full confidence the 24oz porterhouse we shared was the best steak I've ever eaten cooked at the chefs recommended medium rare. The mac and cheese with country ham crumbles and whipped potatoes were equally incredible. We were seated in a low traffic area at the back of the restaurant in a nice half moon booth. Our waitress Taylor very nice and we never had to wait long for anything. The complementary chocolate cake for our anniversary was very good. Its nice to have a high end steakhouse in our area, we will be back and will tell others about this hidden gem. The restaurant was very easy to find, you go in the large main Hard Rock entrance then turn right and walk about 200ish feet.
