“Good price on gas. The only problem is with the physical layout of the station. When it is busy, which is most of the time, the traffic backs up. You must be patient.”
“I like that they open at 7am bc that's when I get off work and not very many other places are open. They also have a much much larger selection of ideas than the gas station a little further up the road so it's better to stop here for sodas and things.”

“I love the fact that this place I can use ExxonMobil app to pay for my gas, and it does not place a $175 hold on my card, like the 7-11 around the corner 2 minutes away. It do get a little congested at this location and most likely 1 or 2 pumps will not be working ( I think they have 8 total). It is convenient and the staff is typically pretty friendly and helpful.Theu do have an air pump, vacuum at this location.”

“Since they switched to Exxon it's been great! Good prices! And the pumps work! Most times before hand they wouldn't work. They have four pumps. Location is right next to all the ramps which is convenient when headed to Va beach or Norflok.”

“I was running behind schedule as my car had notified me of a tire low on air. I went to another station first, paid $2.50 for air, the machine did not work and there was no refund option.
I went down the road to this Exxon and as I was preparing to put my quarters into the slot (only 75 cents there) a young man employee called out from across the way to ask if I needed air. He came to my car with a hose from the shop, checked inside the door for the proper fill amount and filled all four tires. He was friendly, kind, mannerly and saved the day for me. Had I been left to myself I’d have been running even later.
His name is Hayden and if you ever need a truly kind and helpful Exxon man, he’s the one!”
“Haven't been in since it changed over from a 7-Eleven to a Miller's. I do stop here to get gas when I am in the area. Miles per gallon always bumps up. Seem like I get 65 miles or better out tank.”

“I always seem to end up here when I drive to OBX or Williamsburg. You won't find much around here, but that's OK. Clean pump handles...covered pump overhangs and bottled water in the cashier's hut. What else can you ask for? This is also a point where the police must use to switch their patrol route directions when they are out to male their quotas. I've seen many patrol cars pass through and turn out in the opposite direction.”
“My friend loves the chili dogs and excellent customer service. The male cashier with the backwards hat is very friendly. He looks forward to getting gas filled and talking to the cashier daily. Makes his day!”
“I stopped by Kroger located at 1464 My Pleasant Road recently to pick up a few things for dinner. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The seafood department has a great variety as well. I have always found this store to be clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you're in the area stop by this location, you will be happy that you did.”

“I love me some royal farms. Every time i go in they got a fresh case of breakfast sandwiches and some good chicken tenders if i mange to make my way there in the afternoon. AND! When i do my custom orders the lady with the colorful hair does AMAZING on it!”
“This pit stop has everything: gas, clean restrooms, the largest selection of beverages and snacks I've ever seen, a snack bar, hand dipped ice cream, lotto (VA and NC since this building is situated right on top of the border--hence the name), OBX merch and souvenirs, take-home barbeque, and lots of regional products. What's a regional product, you ask? They have Stuckey's products, McCutcheons jams and such, and Wells barbeque sauce, a staple in my house. We buy two jugs to last us a year between trips to the Outer Banks, can't can't can't live without it! They have teeny tiny 18oz. bottles for the babies, and one gallon jugs for the adults, take yer pick. Basically The Border Station is the best pit stop on the East Coast, my oasis on my way to or from the OBX.”
