“Ok, so this place drips with nostalgia for me. I grew up in a rural mountain town where a roadside gas + market + hardware + feed + grocery + ice cream store served as the local equivalent of a town square. The old store is long gone now but Smith Grocery feels so similar even though it's 40 years and 200 miles away.
My favorite part by far: needed a copper fitting, was resigned to an hour (or more) drive to find one, and needed to stop for gas. Decided to walk through the door to the hardware wing, and lo there it was: copper plumbing. Terry walked through the door a couple minutes later, asked me if I needed help, and proceeded to test the fitting I'd grabbed on a 3/4 pipe and make sure I knew the tape-and-goop trick to bind the threads.
Fast forward about an hour and there's no leak on that copper pipe anymore. I predict many Smith Grocery visits in my future.”

“Visiting from NY twice and needed things that (believe it or not) wal-Mart did not have. Both times the incredible staff here went out of their way to find stores in the area where I could find it and provided me with directions to get there!!!”

“This is the NICEST Dollar General I have ever been to! The items and products offered here are more on the level of Walmart and even HomeGoods stores! I wanted to keep this store as my hidden gem, but I know I can't keep it afloat alone. I do hope, if you visit this small town dollar store, that you appreciate all they have available as much as I do!!!”
