“Have really loved MVMT so far!! One of the biggest things is that every instructor greets me by name. I had gone to a gym for 6 months and had to introduce myself almost every class; it’s not like that at MVMT. “I just loved how cool stepping into the F45 gym felt. When you walk in your right inside the gym. Everything is well organized and the lighting and colors are on point. There are towels available for your workout. The instructor early Thursday morning 4/18 was so nice and welcoming. She did a great job demonstrating each move and checking on everyone’s form consistently. I was able to get my 45 minutes in, take a shower (with tons of supplies) and walk out ready to start my shift at work.”
“I was hesitant to try out a workout class but decided to take advantage of the free week trial. With just 2 classes I was hooked! I started at E60 after having a baby and wanted to rebuild strength. I have been taking classes 2-3x/week for 4 months and feel stronger than I've ever been! I love the class structure - it's great to go to a workout where I don't have to think or plan because it's all done for me. It feels like a fun group setting where you have your own personal trainer and can go at your own pace and weight. These classes are the fastest hour of my day!”

“D1 has been a perfect gym for me! Its small size and small class size makes everyone feel welcome. The class schedule is convenient to be able to fit in a workout around work/life demands. Starting as a beginner, the coaches were great at working with me on form and modifications. The workout programming keeps the classes interesting and you are able to build skills and your strength. I’ve never been stronger! The best part of D1 is the community. Everyone is so friendly and encouraging. “When I came to Foundation Fitness it was the first time I had ever walked into a gym. The twice weekly sessions have been terrific. Ester is so very good at what she does. She is very focused on form and provides excellent feedback to be sure I am doing the exercises correctly and getting the most out of them. Ester is encouraging and positive and just a pleasant person to be around. There are never more than a few people training at any given time and everyone is very friendly. CJ (owner) is very responsive if you ever need anything. I am so grateful to have found this gym and to have been connected with Ester.”

“I am a bit delayed with this review, but I still wanted to share my positive experience back from the middle of 2023; when I was traveling through the area for work for the week and was allowed the opportunity to do a trial week between both this 9 Rounds - Springfield location and their recently opened Alexandria location. Now, I am not new to the brand, as our gym near my area in NJ had closed during the pandemic which is very sorrowfully missed. And, in honesty, was such a great workout, and I'll continue to always think of and look for 9 Rounds when I'm in any area.Now, back to Springfield, that I'll share that this 9 Rounds will meet all of your expectations with the heart and soul that I feel like 9 Rounds likes to convey; along with the moral of our story -- a great workout (where you have fun and feel supported). And, I was happy I was able to get the same feel that we have missed in NJ. I would go in the early morning prior to work, and at the time was guided through the professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness of the trainers at the time: Ina, Ina, Chase, Tory, and Zach. And, that's no mistake there were two Ina's at that time, and they were both great. You go through the 9 Rounds workouts, at almost any interval of time you walk into the gym to get in your workout. And, the workout is about 30 minutes. This is perfect for the type of person who comes in from directly at opening, to 5 minutes after opening, to 15 minutes after any of your usual times. And, you wouldn't have missed a beat or felt like you missed anything depending if you came a little earlier to later than your usual time. The workouts are guided by screens and the trainers. You get to start your workout at any time of those intervals based upon how 9 Rounds continuously has a new start for each round. And, usually 1 to 2 people can start each round at a time. But, even if not within the same round, you and any friend could always be next to each other just one-round apart. You have different stations that usually relate in some way to boxing and/or general strengthening exercises. There are certain timed workout intermissions; and, opportunities for 1:1 training with the mitts during the entire experience. And, each day is relatively new and different. So, it's always fun and exciting. And, you feel like the challenging exercise passed by in a flash. You're able to use their gloves when not in ownership of your own, as well. And, if needed/wanted, they have their gloves for purchase (which, I had tried the latest version, and has really great padding and excellent weight) to really get in that sweat. And, although, I didn't really use this during my trial this time, but they also have a great heart rate tracking system, which can display on the screens to track yourself, which you wear around your person. For those who don't know, those who wear exercise tracking watches like Fitbit or a Google watches, etc., aren't really able to wear those through any boxing-related workouts, because of the gloves you wear and the easy chance for damaging your watch. Their tracking systems are excellent from my experience and those of the other members who I spoke to. I believe if you want, you could buy your own that would quickly register you in their system, to making coming and going even easier.Anything else helpful:They have a restroom that you could utilize, and an area for your things, as you quickly go-in and go. They've all been very welcoming there. I interacted with their co-owner there at the time Zach, who was very very nice, who I had also interacted with on the phone when inquiring. And, they have ample parking, as you can see in photos. They're off the highway, so easily to add into your commute. And, I think that's it. Definitely give them a try if you were already considering it. I think you'd be as hooked as I was, so you can get in your great workout and then move-on with your day feeling that bit much better. Thanks!”

“Great place to guarantee a full blown workout. I walk out dripping in sweat Everytime. The coaches are fantastic and can each offer something different. Your first class is free with everything prepared for you such as gloves and welcome signs. They have different classes through out the day, the last being 645 which comes in handy if you work late like I do! The best thing I’ve gotten out of Mayweather boxing and fitness is confidence I can’t get in the gym by myself. I have trouble pushing myself when I go to a big gym, here it’s a smaller group of non stop motivation. It is a little pricey but they have different kinds of memberships and it is a private boxing gym!”

“There are lots of CrossFit Gyms in the Northern Virginia area. What makes Sand and Steel stand out above others is the coaching and care they provide to the members. They just don't throw you in to workouts and expect you to figure things out.Instead, Paul, Dawn, and the rest of the coaching staff take their time to make sure you scale appropriately. The coaches make sure you work on mobility and nutrition, along with your workout. In my case, I have had a series of prior injuries, and moreover, I had consistent cramping and dehydration problems during workouts. No matter what supplements I took or how much water I drank, I would get light-headed, and my muscles would cramp. In short, my body simply refused to hold water. For years, I thought there was something medically wrong with me.Paul recommended a great supplement as a pre-workout, and then the cramping was gone. Like Magic. Now, my conditioning, strength, and overall performance greatly improved.So, like I said before... coaching makes a huge difference. This gym comes highly recommended.”
