“It was my first time and went there for Afghani bread it was fresh, even everyday they have fresh breads on hands. They have the best prices you’ll have in DMV.✅”
“Product is good but aisles are too narrow so you always have to wait for somebody to pass until you can go forward. Always crowded too unless you go middle of the day on a weekday.”
“Good wine selection. The worst parking lot in the history of the universe. Nobody obeys any laws here and shoppers will park their car at the curb and casually eat or shop with no consideration for others”
“Helpful staff at this TJs location and always well-staffed at the checkouts, so even when there is a line it moves quickly. Free underground parking and a bike rack inside the parking garage (to the right of the entrance).”
“Best Halal grocery in Northern Virginia for now. Lots of products, good quality and friendly customer service. First time shopping with them & I’m really happy with İt.
I really recommend shopping with them & I will Definitely shop again with them.
They have a good innovation in Halal shops, if we buy large quantities they will deliver to home.
I am so grateful and I'll be loyal customer.
Highly Recommend !

“Cheap price and hight quality for items such as : vegetable and fruits .
I also l loved to go there because I buy Egyptian bread that's wonderful.
I advice everyone for this store , especially Egyptian bread”
“Love, love, LOVE Trace! It has soooooo many products for refill, from grocery dry good, to spices, cleaning supplies, and even bath & body products. It’s so nice to be able to get this stuff without the extra packaging and get exactly how much I need. Plus it has so many other amazing eco-friendly items! And the owner, Mala, is so nice and helpful. This is an awesome place in the DC area, and everyone should check it out!”
“Great little grocery store that packs surprisingly great items in a small footprint. The selection, freshness and pricing of cut flowers encourages my wife to visit multiple times each week.”

“I love wandering around in Rice Market - it feels like entering another world, with an incredibly comprehensive and fun selection of beautifully arranged food and home products. I work nearby and come for the hot prepared grab-and-go food, which tastes more like grandma's cooking than a restaurant. In cold weather, the outside terrace is empty, so you can enjoy delicious hot food in the refreshing cold and people watch for 10-15 minutes.”

“One thing for sure is that military life has some drawbacks, but from time to time you come across some pretty awesome benefits, and access to exchanges and commissaries is definitely one of them.
Whenever I'm up in the Northern Virginia area near the five-sided building with five rings and need to stock up on supplies, I find that the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Commissary is quite a bit more affordable than the local Harris Teeter. While it may not be as massive as some of the larger commissaries around the country, it's certainly not small either, and it's very well stocked across the board with most of the groceries and household items you might need.
On this particular visit, I picked up a few essentials along with some grapes and a little cheese. I also made a stop by the hot bar, where I grabbed some rib pieces and barbecue wings. Everything was fresh, and it made for a great meal to enjoy outside on a beautiful day with the weather cooperating perfectly.
One of the things I appreciate most about this commissary is how easy it is to get in, find what you need, and get back on your way. The selection is solid, the prices are competitive, and the store is generally well maintained. Whether you're doing a full grocery run or just grabbing a few items, it gets the job done without any hassle.
If you're in the military, eligible to shop there, and happen to be in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by when you need groceries. The savings can add up, and it's one of those benefits that reminds you there are still a few perks that come along with military life.”

“The restaurant inside this H Mart has delicious Korean hot pot and other dishes. I also think this one has the best produce selection of their locations in this area.”
“Already an amazing Trader Joe’s, but today on a busy Sunday Laj was absolutely fantastic. She genuinely connected with me during my check out while also packing my items so carefully but quickly. Truly made my Sunday”
“Staff were friendly and helpful when I asked where soda water was located. Cashier packed my bag for me and made sure I wasn't walking to not overload my grocery bags.”
“The arrival of Trader Joe's to the Freidnship Heights is a significant , long waited, improvement to the quality of life in the neighborhood. Expected to provide some downwards pressure on pricing policies of the local Whole foods market and expand variability in available supply, including from imports. Taking into account recent opening of Lydl nearby, the local grocery situation becomes even more enjoyable.”

“No complaints... Aldi is the no-frills, minimum investment for highest yield grocery store
A lot of random, one shipment only finds...
Housewares include pots, pans, silverware, glassware, mugs, coffee station supplies, bakeware and baking supplies
Also gardening tools and supplies... seriously!
They have indoor and outdoor furniture and even plants, flowers, herbs in pots and bouquet flowers!
They have greeting cards for holidays and special events
U can almost always find organization gadgets and items
They have some supplies for vehicles
They have pet toys, gadgets and supplies
This truly is 1 of the most random store I've seen! All stores don't have same inventory; some have larger selections
BUT a lot of stuff is low quality soooo choose wisely!
But it's best 2 shop within first week or so, when items come in season because employees say they can't order additional inventory
AND their systems are so antiquated that data isn't accurate... systems may show amount in stock but store may be sold out!
☆☆☆ READ FOOD LABELS ☆☆☆ A LOT of items have genetically modified ingredients! Also bio-engineered ingredients!!!”
“Fairway Supermarket in Woodbridge is an absolute hidden gem! This small, locally owned family grocery store offers an incredible variety of products from across the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives). All at fantastic prices.
The people who run this store are so wonderfully kind, helpful, and personable. Every visit feels warm and welcoming. Thank you for the incredible Pakistani mango - one of the sweetest, freshest mangos I’ve ever tasted! This truly is a lovely family, and it shows in the way they treat their customers.
The selection here is amazing and so unique:
- Healthy, natural dried foods and snacks:
I always find something new, and there are staple items I can only get here. They have several aisles of fun, interesting, and wholesome snack products that you just don’t see at chain grocery stores.
- Huge spice section:
So many unique spices, available in large bags for excellent prices.
- Vegan and allergy-friendly options:
Plenty to choose from, which I really appreciate.
- Essential oils, beauty supplies, and even beautiful scarves:
Small touches that make browsing fun.
- Frozen dinners and snacks:
Including some items I can’t find anywhere else.
- Fresh butcher in the back:
Lamb and goat at incredible prices, perfect for authentic cooking. I believe they have other types of meat, including fish, as well.
- Fresh produce:
Small but thoughtful selection of fruits and veggies, plus fresh dates and baked sweets.
Much, if not most, of their products appear to be halal, which is really helpful for those who need it.
And while they specialize in subcontinental products, they also carry universal basics, so you can pick up everyday items at the same time.
Every trip to Fairway feels like traveling to another country. I make it a point to try something new every time I go.
This store is such a gift to the community. Let’s support this wonderful family and keep this beautiful local market thriving.”
“I love our Trader Joe's on 25th street NW in Washington DC. Today, before snowstorm, staff were still helpful and friendly, willing to check for items. As they always do.
Got the essentials as you can see.
Thank you!!”
“A lot of selections of dishes every Sat. Great food. Fun and friendly place. Owner is very nice and helpful. She has connections, so she can make some calls and, mostly, get what you want in a matter of day. I wish they had dishes more than just Sat. Go early, thought, these dishes go fast. They have good food vendors / cooks. No worries if you buy a lot of stuff, they will help carry to your car.”
“Local institution doing wine, cheese and beer justice. Fair warning - never been able to visit without spending money. Pro tip - if you see them, grab a baguette and look through the left over cuts of cheese to try something amazing.”
“Large commissary, newer, clean, Organized, great offerings, great prices, large produce section and bakery section. Plenty of meat from beef, pork, chicken. Store is identical to a full scale civilian grocery store in size, offerings, products available and number of check out lines and self checkout options. Returns are always easy if any issues, customer service is always pleasant and excellent. Oftentimes the management or supervisors are attentive and notice if a line develops to offer or open more self check out kiosks if they are able too depending on end of day counts and reports for each.”
“It’s a Trader Joe’s so it’s wonderful. I am particularly impressed today by their customer service, which never disappoints. A gentleman named Jesse helped us and delivered stellar customer service.”
“This is always a wonderful place to shop. It offers a taste of the Middle East and beyond. I love the bulk section with a wide variety of raisins, unique nuts, seeds and sweets. The food bar is hard to resist with its fresh salad, veggies and meats. I highly recommend visiting over and over and over again.”
“It’s a smaller store but you can get almost everything you want! It’s funny, they have a huge selection of wine and beer proportional to the size of the store. Pizza is great, dessert awesome, not a fan of the extremely expensive price per pound on hot food bar.”
“The team provided Excellent service, provided answers to questions about products. They went the extra mile to retrieve out of season items that I needed. Friendly and customer focused. I've been to the store on three or four occasions and had the same warm and friendly experience. Thank you House2Home!”
“Yegna Ethiopian Market & Carryout is an absolute gem! The customer service was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Prices are very fair compared to other spots, and the food and products are authentic and high quality. Highly recommend!”
“We stopped in this past week and thoroughly enjoyed everything! The staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We had the beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, gyro, hummus and a chicken kebab dinner and everything was fantastic! This place will definitely be visited again and again. Very happy!”
“Absolutely love this store! It's small but has everything that my Polish heart desires. And the service is super friendly too ♥ 🇵🇱”

“It's a great convenience store with fair pricing. There is also a chef(BigChef) at this store that cooks food ? fresh and in front you. There's also fresh coffee available.”
“I really like this store! It’s clean, organized, and convenient. Most of the time when I shop here, it’s not crowded, and checking out is quick and easy. For budget-conscious shoppers, prices can sometimes feel a bit high, but their sales and $10-off coupons make a big difference. As long as they keep offering good deals, I’ll keep getting my groceries here.
I especially love their store-brand items — the cheeses, cereals, baked goods, pizzas, drinks, and cinnamon rolls are all great quality and well-priced. Lately, I’ve also been picking up ice cream and treats for my kids, like their donuts that used to be around $1–2. However, this past month I noticed the price for my daughter’s favorite donuts jumped from about $1.80 to $4.80, which was surprising — so just something to keep in mind. Not sure who’s in charge of that, but I hope the prices level out again!”
