All stores don't have same inventory; some have larger selections BUT a lot of stuff is low quality soooo choose wisely! The owner is incredibly kind, and the customer service is always A+. “Montebello is a hidden, quiet, park retreat off of Rt. 1 every comment I’ve gotten when dropped off is this is Beautiful or Wow I did not know this was here. It is a mature community with a majority of owners in their 60, 70, 80 and 90’s. It is extremely quite here and clean. Yes it is an older property with Lots of in units walk in closets and storage closet various floor plans to fit all budgets. Security, Front office staff, janitorial have always been Professional, Respectful, and Prompt to respond to requests and questions. They really listen to the owners concerns and implement action to accommodate according to the appropriate guidelines. Montebello offers weekday shuttle bus service to and from the metro M-F in the am and pm rush hour and shopping trips during the week for those without a car. Brand new gym, indoor-outdoor pool, tennis courts, card rooms, billiards room, bowling alley, saunas, restaurant, store/cleaners, outdoor grilling stations (does not have a car washing station). In the past every storm we lost power, well the community spoke and they had installed a new underground transformer to ensure no more of several days of lost power. In comparison to similar properties The Promenade 5225 Pooks Hill Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814, Watergate at Landmark, 211 Yoakum Parkway, Alexandria, VA 22304, The Rotonda 8352 Greensboro Dr, McLean, VA 22102. My preference is the Montebello because Montebello just won the CAI Community of the Year Award for outstanding large community in the metro DC area for 2019.”

“This store lowkey does not pass the vibe check. TL:DR - Hiring process is crap and annoying to deal with, Hispanic section is good, and their donuts are AMAZING. Come here AT LEAST for the donuts, fr worth it. 8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to. I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/ when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much. The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries. Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store. The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts. Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me. (Next I get donuts I'll snap some pictures and add them!)”

“This was my second time going into a Giant Food store. The ambiance was clean and the items were well organized in the store. I surprisingly found bottles of Apple sake wine that I have been looking for a year ever since I had it at a Japanese restaurant in Tennessee. I was happy and surprised. Service was cordial and helpful there. I saw a bottle of Angel Ink Pinot Noir and wished I had bought it. The only negative was the bathroom was a mess with tissue paper all over the floors.”
“July 15, 2026 Over the past few months of going to Aldi, Good: Store is always clean, accessible and usually has items in stock, if you are there early enough. Good cashiers and fast. Bad: One cashier, even though you have your own bag, will still place your items in the cart instead of inside your bag that you placed on the cart. 2) Have seen more than a handful of customers not scanning items under their carts when at self-checkout. 3) Have seen many customers steal the Aldi shopping bags, as they walk out the store, after using the self checkout. 4) Some of the refrigerated items were moldy and expired.”

As I was perusing, they were actively filling the slots...the idea of getting something freshly baked at 3 pm, for dinner of breakfast, is awesome. There is a mix of store brand and name brand. The produce was bountiful and fresh. They truly had everything that I needed. This store was vast. The lines moved quickly and there was plenty of parking.”

Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
