“Found everything we cam in for. Produce was fresh. Bakery was well stocked with bread and cheese. Frozen stuff was easily to find. The check out person was pleasant.”

“No complaints... Aldi is the no-frills, minimum investment for highest yield grocery store
A lot of random, one shipment only finds...
Housewares include pots, pans, silverware, glassware, mugs, coffee station supplies, bakeware and baking supplies
Also gardening tools and supplies... seriously!
They have indoor and outdoor furniture and even plants, flowers, herbs in pots and bouquet flowers!
They have greeting cards for holidays and special events
U can almost always find organization gadgets and items
They have some supplies for vehicles
They have pet toys, gadgets and supplies
This truly is 1 of the most random store I've seen! All stores don't have same inventory; some have larger selections
BUT a lot of stuff is low quality soooo choose wisely!
But it's best 2 shop within first week or so, when items come in season because employees say they can't order additional inventory
AND their systems are so antiquated that data isn't accurate... systems may show amount in stock but store may be sold out!
☆☆☆ READ FOOD LABELS ☆☆☆ A LOT of items have genetically modified ingredients! Also bio-engineered ingredients!!!”
“It’s a smaller store but you can get almost everything you want! It’s funny, they have a huge selection of wine and beer proportional to the size of the store. Pizza is great, dessert awesome, not a fan of the extremely expensive price per pound on hot food bar.”

“Good variety of African products and well priced. Service was good too. No long lines. Not too much unnecessary chatting, in and out.The parking lot is hard to maneuver, lots of other shops, lots of cars. Tight spaces”
“This place is awesome!!! Paula is an absolute encyclopedia of nutritional info on vitamins and supplements!!!! I'll return to this MOMs specifically for Paula's advice!!! ??”
“We have shopped here for years. A pillar of this urban area like many Whole Foods that opened 15-20 years ago. HOWEVER I am very, very disappointed they are closing the bar area. Apparently this is a national trend and reflects the almighty pursuit of $ / sq ft. I don't doubt you can eke out a little more $ with more inventory but it won't be from me and my family. There will be less impromptu trips from us over there and I'll be going to Wegmans more often”
“Nicest grocery store in Northern Virginia with an amazing variety, all beautifully displayed. However, the underground parking is very dimly lighted and congested. Getting to and away from the store is also a bit of a pain unless one lives within walking distance.”
“Spacious and clean atmosphere. Good selection on most major grocery brands and priced below othe major grocery stores in the area. Surprisingly good produce selection.”
“This is one of my favorite grocery shopping experiences. I absolutely love the fresh veggies and fruits. One of the most diverse places for beef, chicken and fish. Lots of choices for tea and international cookies and desserts. I love this store.”
“Really Great store I give it a 10/10, great prices and you have a variable of foods available. Staff is really friendly and ready to help out. Really recommend this place.”
“Everyone is friendly here from the front of the house to the butcher. Great selection from kimem to traditional houseware items. Injera that is made in-house and is the best! Light and fresh always! I use to always get Ethiopian injera until I discovered Alem gebeya injera. It’s always an easy 1-stop shop for all habesha needs, the best in the area!”
“For the past four years, I’ve been a loyal customer of Sendu, and every year she makes the most amazing cakes for me. Not only do her cakes look beautiful, but they also taste absolutely delicious every single time.
No matter what I ask for, she always does a wonderful job and never disappoints. I truly appreciate your hard work and dedication over the years.
Thank you, Sendu, for always making such special and tasty cakes. You are the best!”
“I love this store. The staff are very efficient and friendly. It also has self checkout so even if the line is long the wait isn’t. The prices are also considerably less than the big name stores.”
“International food that has asian and arabic items.
Lots of fresh vegetables option,
Local items are more expensive than international items though”
“I like this grocery store! Prices and savings are excellent! I had a long shopping list that included ingredients for several recipes at my last visit and had a hard time finding everything (not too many floating employees on a Sunday), but I did manage to find everything on my list! I’m finally getting the hang of the app, self checkout and remembering to bring in my bags (not yet a habit since I’ve lived 7+ decades without needing to remember to carry in bags)!”

chocolate wrapped in Christmas paper”
“LOVE Aldi and this one is great! I'm sure you already know the deal: amazing prices for top notch store-brand products, and this location is no exception. Only reason it's not five stars is that the produce is questionable (expires in 1 or 2 days...). I get my produce elsewhere, but shop here as much as I can for everything else ????”
“I have lived here since April 2010 and it has been a good fit for this introvert. There are many activities for anyone to do, we have a restaurant (the Grille), the Community Center has been upgraded to meet current needs, we have a First Saturday morning monthly coffee, a Grounds Committee that has had a good impact on upkeep of our woodlands, and way more. I can attest to the fact that Montebello has not had a special assessment and hopefully never will. Our finances are managed extremely well with the help of the Finance Committee, the Board, and Management. I encourage residents to get involved and those with a strong financial (or mathematical) background to join the finance committee. This place has helped me significantly grow to the point that I became a Board member as of March 2022 as a way to give back and share my knowledge and abilities with others, hear concerns, and address them as best as possible through the proper channels. If anyone reading this is thinking about moving here, make sure to get your finances in order then make a visit to here to see how living here could benefit them.”
“Excellent place with great service, my go to place for everything Balkan. Includes plenty of Bulgarian foods, the place to go for them. I could call it "the local Bulgarian store", not just former Yogoslavia is represented. Great diversity of good foods”
“Zema Market is a wonderful place for those looking for authentic Ethiopian products, from essential spices and pantry staples to traditional Ethiopian Orthodox Church materials. Whether you’re shopping for cooking ingredients or religious items, the store provides a welcoming atmosphere and a strong connection to the culture and community.”
“The grocery pick up team here is SO good— wayyyy prefer choosing them over using Instacart, DoorDash, or some other delivery service. They are so communicative, make great substitutions, and actually SEARCH for the items you picked!! A special thank you to Law!!”
“Nice place tucked away in a strip mall. Wow! Delicious food. Outstanding coffee. Friendly atmosphere. I really like this place. You will, too!
Now if I can just find someone to pay to pay my bill! ?”
“Very small, only two and a half isles. Good selection of spices but I didn't see any fresh produce. Cashier was friendly. Was able to find spices much fresher and cheaper than American grocery stores.”
“Absolutely wonderful food with equally amazing service. Me and my father went to get takeout and were blown away by the quality of tibs and injera here. While waiting for our meal, the owner of the store freshly roasted coffee beans and served us coffee and explained to us how she did it (It was impressively rich). It was a truly pleasant surprise to my evening i was not expecting. I will definitely be going back.
Vegetarian options: The Veggie Combo provides a delicious option for vegetarians
Dietary restrictions: They were kind enough to work around a dietary restriction by excluding anything spicy from one of the veggie combos”
“Visited this Safeway and Richard is the sole reason I'm even writing a review! He went out of his way to make sure I got everything I needed during my visit -- even searching for items that were sold out. You can tell he's just trying his best to serve the customers and do his part as best he can. I'm grateful for him and pray future shoppers can appreciate his spirit as much as it deserves to be <3”
“(Translated by Google) I like to buy the ribs to grill here Good cuts good meat I recommend it(Original)Me gusta comprar las costillas para asar aqui Buenos cortes buena carne lo recomiendo”
“Amazing store, wonderful staff. Has all the necessities and more. The place is super clean and they have really good music. I was short 18 cents, and the amazing cashier waved it away. Simply a great place to shop.”
“This store lowkey does not pass the vibe check.
TL:DR - Hiring process is crap and annoying to deal with, Hispanic section is good, and their donuts are AMAZING.
Come here AT LEAST for the donuts, fr worth it.
8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to.
I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/
when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much.
Called back on X date, "She'll be here tomorrow morning" thanks.
Calls back tomorrow morning, "Hi, not here. Call again tomorrow morning."
At which point I came INTO THE STORE to speak with this elusive hiring manager, just to be told that they were on vacation and won't be back for a while.
: )
So suffice to say, hiring process seems messy, outdated, unreliable, and flat out non-functional at times.
The website needs to be updated, the employees need proper customer service training because regardless of what I'm calling about, and who's answering, it's always in a tone that sounds like I might aswell be interrupting a neurosurgeon mid incision.
The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries.
Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store.
The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts.
Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me.
(Next I get donuts I'll snap some pictures and add them!)”

“Good local store with plenty of choices. Friendly helpful staff. It can be very cold in the fresh produce aisles, so I’d advise to wear something warming. Even in the summer months. Easy parking.”
“Helpful staff at this TJs location and always well-staffed at the checkouts, so even when there is a line it moves quickly. Free underground parking and a bike rack inside the parking garage (to the right of the entrance).”
