“First time at Earl’s True Value. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Was looking for organic potting soil and they have a great variety you won’t see at Lowes or Home Depot. I was able to get organic ProMix, and organic BlackGold potting mix. Also got some organic mushroom compost based on a staff member’s recommendation. They also had a great selection of Coast of Maine and Fox Farm soils.”

“It’s a harbor freight; decent tools (mostly Chinese knockoffs) The Bauer line of tools is a fair value for home owners. Deals are pretty good; and staff at this location are helpful”

“Fond what I was looking for(swivel head drill), but it was not clear whether battery or drill bits were included. Also, no option for shipping other than $10-1 month wait for standard shipping. I prolly would’ve paid to get it sooner!”

“Steven from Electrical/Lighting was super kind and helped me find everything that I needed. Kathy at the Front Desk was welcoming and helped me with an item I was having trouble checking out with. Both of them took the time to help me and were genuine and happy doing it. I don’t see customer service like this very much anymore. It was a refreshing experience”

“Best store ever! Superior customer service and the nicest associates. Special thanks to David for his help cutting some plywood for me and the associates (whose name I didn't get) for picking beautiful boards and helping me load. I love shopping at this store and they have a customer for life.”

“I go here often. The staff are always polite and helpful. Only comment is that they desperately need to staff up customer service! Every time I do an online order it takes half an hour or more to pick up (not to prepare my order, to pick it up.) Update 8/2026 -- went in the store tonight to get ground wire. It was locked up and it in literally took half an hour to get the attention of someone who could open the case. At the very least they need to have a clear way to request someone to unlock the cabinet. And the person who finally opened the case could have at least acknowledge my complaints about how long it took to find someone. I'm going to check back in a week, on August 21. If there's not a sign or something telling me how to get someone to access the freaking wire , or if the method doesn't work, I will need to revise my rating drastically downward.”

“Customer service was supreme. All the employees worked as a team to ensure we were taken care of. We didn't have to roam or wonder about where the items were. Tre, in Flooring, was very knowledgeable and friendly, patient too! It is very much appreciated. Thank you!”
