“They not only have employees you can see they actually help you. I asked a man who was stocking shelves where to find an egg poacher, he said you keep shopping, it's on a hanger somewhere. Within 4 minutes he walked up and handed me one. That's what service is and I truly appreciate all the staff who always have time to answer a question and they know where everything is without looking at a phone. They are awesome. At 63, I know what real service is and they provide it and smile!”

“Unbelievably low prices. I like corned beef brisket a brisket that would have cost $60 at a neighboring also favorite grocery of mine only cost $24 at Aldi. One thing that is an issue there is no handicapped electric cart for those with difficulty walking such as myself. Plus there are no shopping bags if you don't bring your own you're carrying your stuff out in your arms. So you must always carry a bag with you. And that is not any inconvenience. I view that as part of why their prices are so low.”

“Just walked in for the first time today. The owner and her staff were so kind, warm and engaging! The produce was priced very well. They carry a selection of meats, pastas, seasonings, etc. specifically Sauers seasonings - which have probably been sold in markets along this strip for the past 100 years. It’s a huge blessing to have this convenient little market right in our neighborhood.
I was ecstatic to find wild pear kombucha from blue ridge Bucha. I used to buy cases of wild pear kombucha from Aldi’s, but they stopped carrying it! I hope that she’ll continue carrying it!”

“I use the pharmacy at my local Food Lion. The pharmacy employees are always kind and helpful. They even remember my name, which is a nice touch. They offer great advice on medication and keep me up-to-date when they hear from my doctor. However, as a person with a disability, I have trouble when the drive-thru is closed. While I appreciate the pharmacy's assistance, I find the grocery prices at Food Lion too high, so I don't do extensive grocery shopping there.”

“I have a desire to relocate to Richmond. The first thing I need to know is where to shop my usual groceries. I'm surprised with this Kroger Marketplace in Mechanicsville Virginia. Wow. It was so convenient off the major throughfare. The location was easy to find. Price of my usuals are about the same or less. The sales items are well stocked. Only a few items seemed to be on shortage. That's normal and I get used to.Clothes department really throw me off. They got nice fashion and reasonably priced clothes for the whole family. Customers were friendly. I would return, most definitely.”

“I love this place. It’s down the street from my house and if they don’t have what you need they’ll always recommend something better. I always use the big funnel packs but because they didn’t sell it they got me onto the best grabba. Now i use it religiously. It’s cheaper and it lasts way longer. Everybody is always nice to me. Especially the youngest if they don’t have anything just ask them about it and I’m pretty sure they’ll have it within the next week lol. Best tobacco store in the game. I’m heading there right now :)”

I just wanted to take the time to speak on the To go staff at this store. They are absolutely the most wonderful people I have encountered. Diana is such an amazing woman. She has quite literally become family to me. I look forward to seeing her and she always puts a smile on my face. Our exiting conversations always warm my heart and just overall she is the best!
Jordan is such a great guy as well. My kids love saying hi to him about 100 times and he always responds and makes them so happy. They are smiling from ear to ear. The staff overall makes sure the order goes perfectly. They always check in to see that the replacements are okay with me and take the time to answer any questions I may have. They are always there to respond quickly.
I wish I knew everyone's name because there are at the least 2-3 others that I have interacted with and they are amazing as well. I will have to get their names and make another review because I feel bad leaving them out individually. They really do deserve the recognition.
When I come to pickup my order, everything is so organized and bagged perfectly. To Go staff you truly are such an outstanding team and I am so grateful for you. I am a Full Time Stay at home Mom and your services provide so much relief for me and then to come interact with you all makes it even more valuable. “I love this Dollar General. Everyone is pleasant and the store is always stocked. I usually spend 15 minutes or more just looking around. The prices are usually reasonable. I live near several but I will still come to Airport Drive.”
