“Our family has been with the State Department Federal Credit Union (SDFCU we call it) for decades. We get good service by phone and email. Then I needed go in person to a branch.
I chose the Clarendon branch in Arlington, VA. The assistance I received was unparalleled. I learned how to better access the joint account with my mother, got good answers to several questions, and came away with two pages of checks to carry us over until the new checks arrived. A couple of days later I ran into another challenge online. Since I had the business card from my in-person visit, I left a message about the problem, and received a call-back explaining what happened, and then got help fixing it.
Good service is alive and well at the Clarendon Branch of the SDFCU. It put the smile right back on my face.
Plus: It's in a lovely location. There is easy parking (I chose underground parking for the usual fee), local eateries all around, and a Trader Joe's across the street.”

“I come to this location almost every day to deposit checks for work, and the reception and service is always impeccable, from the moment I walk through the door, to the moment I walk back out. From the security guard opening the door, to Vanessa greeting me as I enter, to Matthew or Ari or Damien or any of the other tellers handling my business quickly and thoroughly, it is exactly the kind of bank service that you want; especially when you have to do it every day like me. I almost wish that they weren’t all so good at their jobs, so that I could be lazier and not have to go back to my own job so quickly.”
