“I recently stayed at this downtown hotel and had a generally positive experience, largely driven by the fantastic location and incredible customer service. Location: The location is truly great, putting you right in the heart of downtown with easy access to everything you might need. Rooms & Facilities: The property itself is a bit dated. While everything is functional, the rooms and facilities are starting to show their age. Elevators: Be prepared to wait—the elevators can become extremely backed up during peak times. Valet Team: The valet team works extremely hard, but they are constantly swamped and backed up with both drop-offs and pickups. Pool & Balcony: There is a great balcony area outside the pool room, but unfortunately, the hotel doesn't utilize it for anything. Front Desk: On the bright side, the front desk staff are wonderful. A special shout-out to Caroline, who went above and beyond to work with me on availability and rate when I needed a last-minute, no-notice extended stay. M Club: The M Club lounge is just okay. The main drawback is its poor location within the property—it has no windows, making it feel closed in. The offerings are also pretty basic, featuring intermediate snacks and microwave-style food. Overall, if you prioritize an unbeatable location and helpful, accommodating staff over modern luxury and minor logistical bottlenecks, this place gets the job done.”

“So I am visiting Norfolk attending a conference. I drove in like another parking lot not paying attention that they have valet but I saw a space open and was headed there. Now this is my review before checking out. I have 3 more days to be here. A valet named Keyon ran over to me and explained the services that they offered and after going through the day I had and how late it was he was very helpful and patient so I decided to use their valet service. I did not and cant walk long distances and the parking garage was a good walk away. I asked well what do you guys do when a disabled person like myself shows up. Well duh valet it is, huh. I was to much in pain and exhausted to further investigate but Keyon went above and beyond to help me with my bags and explain the steps to activate the valet service. Oh, and the beds are the best.”

“This is an older hotel but they have made many updates. I was pleasantly surprised and you cannot beat the location right on the beach. Staff was very friendly. Room service came daily unlike many other hotels. I will stay here again.”

“Great experience across the board. A clean and comfortable room on the ground level. they even allowed me to check in early. The provided a decent iron/ironing board for me since there was not one in the room. Housekeeping made sure I had enough towel and washcloths. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.”

“Beautiful beach right out my door. Fresh towels delivered regularly. They worked with me to relocate to an upper room. And although there was no coffee pot in the room , they have fresh ground coffee in the lobby, which was a plus! A little noisy but groups of people were on vacation. 🎉 Good stay.”

“The beds are very comfortable! I love the blankets that kept us warm and cozy at night. We had a toilet problem in room 231 but overall, the prices are great. Breakfast is great. Might come back soon in October for a fishing vacation.”

“Debra and Tamara at the front check in were very helpful and super friendly.! I couldn't ask for a better hotel front desk staff service. Rooms were great and clean . They were doing some construction remodeling in the hotel to upgrade but didnt bother us. Water pressure is low in the shower. Location is ok..have to walk to get to downtown and its a bout 6 or 7 blocks. There is a restaurant in hotel; however, we didnt eat there. We orderdd pizza to room. Overall great service .”
