“I’ve been going to this station for at least 20 years. Normally I’d be in and out for the inspection within 45 minutes.Though this time it was longer, as I watched I got upset. Why is the inspector lifting my car? I didn’t ask for an oil change. William (the manager) explained that the state police added items to the inspection-seatbelts, suspension, steering components, the inside brake pads.Next year I’ll make sure I plan to spend more time there…and I’m assuming with a more thorough/timely inspection-it’ll be more expensive.”

Immediately Paul, the mechanic, noticed several major issues with the engine and air bag systems. We ended up talking with him for nearly an hour, with him giving incredibly in depth and helpful advice about what to look for in used cars, reliable brands, and brands and systems to watch out for. I decided against buying the car I brought in, and when I went to pay Paul refused, saying that he didn't have to do anything. However, Paul's advice saved me from a likely very bad purchase. I'm currently in Oakton, dogsitting, and initially attempted to fill up my tank on Chain Bridge Road. However, the price of $3.75 for unleaded gas seemed excessively high, and I'm always mindful of fuel costs these days.So, I decided to utilize my Google search skills to find the nearest gas stations, and to my delight, a few options popped up in the area, complete with posted prices for regular fuel. This is an excellent feature that helps individuals like me make informed choices and save a few cents.Upon discovering this particular Shell station, I didn't hesitate to drive approximately 1.5 miles to take advantage of their price of $3.29 per gallon, saving me a significant amount compared to the more expensive options mentioned earlier. I greatly appreciate that Shell offered a competitive price without overcharging.Since it's a self-serve station, I believe it deserves a 5-star rating for providing affordable fuel options and allowing me to make a cost-effective choice. Dude went out of his way to help me out and was extremely courteous. I'll be bringing my cars here forever”

Because the rows are three vehicles deep, it can be challenging to see when the gas pump a few cars ahead are available. The service attendant flagged me to move ahead to a vacant gas pump. This was helpful and appreciated.”

“My car broke down Thursday evening and I had it towed to this service station because of recommendations on my local community Facebook group. I got there after the shop was already closed, but was able to fill out the paperwork and leave the key with the store clerk. Wayne, the shop manager called first thing in the morning and was able to diagnose the problem (snapped right axle shaft) within an hour. Moreover, the car was fixed within the day and didn't cost nearly as much as I had been fearing. (For a 14 year-old car with over 120k miles, anything under $1000 is a steal to me). Hoping I won't need to, but I'll be taking my car back to Wayne at Sunoco from now on for all my car repairs. Finding a knowledgeable, and honest mechanic is like winning the lottery and I am so grateful.”

“This station provides excellent service and reasonable-cost repairs. My car broke down just a block (luckily) from the station. Several repairmen came down with equipment to charge the battery, to find the problem, etc. They discovered that it was leaking oil to the point that it was dry, and the car had shut itself down as a protective measure. They filled it up with oil, drove it back to the station, and repaired it all within 24 hours. They were completely transparent about the cost upfront (which was completely reasonable.) They didn't take advantage of my ignorance. Quite the opposite, they explained everything thoroughly, and were courteous, warm, and friendly.”

“stopped by this Shell for the fist time to see if I could walk-in and get an emissions test. It was late in the afternoon and I wasn't sure they would have time or patience for a walk-in. Immediately I was greeted with a smile and accommodation. They asked me questions and took care of the care. The technical that brought the car out also asked me questions about the car and safety inspection, etc. just to make sure I was covered. He welcomed me to come back for any additional service. They treat customers just like a dealership would, without all the hassle and appointments of a dealership.”

My front tire brakes were bad and he helped me by getting one of the guys to do my brakes this morning. Looking forward to the FAIL sticker be removed and replacing it with the new inspection sticker. Everyone there are really nice. Looking forward to seeing them next year”
