But NOT at Christian Brothers, Midlothian! Robert Webb, Chris Warren and the Mechanic took up the challenge with great success and great attention to detail. “We blew a tire out on 295 traveling from Maryland back to South Carolina. Buffalo Tire was where our insurance company had the tow truck take us. When we arrived at the service center we learned that they are by appointment only but when we explained our situation to Scott he immediately called Will (owner) and Will cut his lunch off to come assist. He personally drove to pick up the tire we needed from another location and even offered to grab us lunch on his way back! We graciously declined but these guys were amazing and so empathetic to our situation that they literally dropped everything to help us get back on the road. “I have been dealing with Gary at dyke tire discounters for over a year. I have taken several of my cars to his shop and ive been so happy that i have taken both of my daughtrrs cars to gary and his team. I am very happy with his prices,quality of work and most all they do what they theyare going to do and they get the repairs done on time which is important to me. Myy first repair that i had them do was fix the brakes on my dakota truck where another shop messed it up reallybad that i could barely drive it. They discovered what the other shop did wrong and fixed it 100%. the truck brakes smooth now just like it did when it was brand new. Im so happy that i had them do the brakes on my wifes taurus. I have bought 2 sets of tires from them with free alignment at very good prices and im getting ready to buy a third set and do suspension work on my daughters van. Im a car guy and i know cars and i will not take any of my cars to another shop. I recently dealt with sidney and hes such a delight to deal with.all of the guys at the front dedk are verry nice,freindlly, and they are honest and know what they are taking about. “If you need an honest mechanic in town, you need to call Mr. Kweleme. My vehicle wasn't feeling the same after it was serviced. I had it looked at by three different mechanics in Richmond area. All gave me a list of things that needs replaced. Each one's list was different things to be replaced. None of their suggestions sounded right to me. After looking on Yelp I found Mr. Kweleme. Mr. Kweleme replaced two of my vehicle's spark plugs and changed the engine oil and it fixed the issue. I also asked his opinion on the other things mentioned by the previous mechanics, and except one thing, everything else that was told by other mechanics was not necessary. Mr. Kweleme confirmed those parts are in good condition and explained why he thinks they need no replacement. I think Mr. Kweleme is also charges resonably. Thank you Mr. Kweleme!”

Not only did the owner instantly know the exact source of the issue but he honestly laid out all my options and didn't try to upsell or push any option that helped him. “Ok so here we go, we had a 2005 Acura MDX with a new transmission. we drove it to California and back after it had over 200K on the engine. Great family/boys trip. Truck belongs to my son. I say son "you change the oil and schedule the timing belt to be replaced its a honda if you don't do this the engine will blow" my son "will do it next week" two weeks later timing belt goes engine is shot. call around hard engine to replace several versions nobody will guarantee price. I call Kenny he give me used engine cost and labor I say great!! have car towed to his place. Gave him 1700 Cash up front (was nervous as hell, I don't know him he don't know me not best part of town). We hit several snags a long the way all of which require additional money which I only sent an extra 250 (again I have restored several vehicles so I know the mechanic is always going to ask for additional cash at some point and I have learned to say no and cut my losses and leave it up to the courts if I have to. needless to say no problems with the cash. Kenny stayed in touch returned my calls tried his best to explain the delays and we communicated. Now the biggest issue here was time. It took more than a month to complete this job. I am cutting them a break here because I have talked to several folks who explained that Honda made several different engines for this model Acura and it can be a pain even with the vin to get the right one used which is why folks generally go remanufactured and it ends up costing more. there were some additional cost at the end that I had to pay like alternator and axle replacement but it wasn't to bad so they get a pass on that as well. I would give them 3.5 stars if I could because of the amount of time, but the quality of work they did on the truck has proven to be awesome!! we have driven the truck from Richmond to va beach and back several times no problem Richmond to Baltimore several times no problem. check engine light came on but probably EGR issue. bottom line truck is running good and the mechanics he used did dam good work!! If you have the time dude was trustworthy and got the job done. Kudos to you and your brother!! good work!!”

“Nobody looks forward to their transmission needing replaced, having repairs performed correctly and at a fair price can be a crapshoot. After reading reviews I chose Cottmans to replace the transmission in my 2016 GMC Sierra. The work was finished ahead of schedule. I did have to take my truck back the next week, not for transmission work but to have the a/c condenser replaced (I couldn't hear the transmission shift over my girlfriend complaining about the a/c not working), like the transmission work, a/c works like new. Every nut, bolt. and clip were reinstalled, you can tell the mechanic didn't rush through the job and take shortcuts. After about 2000 miles the transmission performs flawlessly as does the a/c. Only thing worse than your transmission going out would be having to go to battle with a shop that took your money and didn't stand behind their work. I feel blessed that I chose Cottmans and would definitely recommend them to anyone.Services: Transmission”
