I walked in to see if they had any candy or drinks and the wonderful woman working immediately recognized that we were in a medical emergency. As they do not sell people snacks only delicious snacks for your animal family members, she immediately went to her own snack stash to see if she had anything. I did not get your name but want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing such kindness to a complete stranger. You are a wonderful human being and I hope your boss sees this and you get a fat raise.

They have a very quick response time to my questions, fit me in when necessary and have a new Snout plan that is coming in handy as my senior dog is a hot mess lately. Everyone is always super nice and they do their best to accommodate my stress bucket of a dog. He's been in lately for arthritis and for a squinty eye. We're currently working together to find what works best for my pup and I appreciate them for jumping in when I need them. Thank you.

Southern Hills Animal Hospital
3827 Hite Street Southwest, RoanokeSouthern Hills was not our regular veterinary practice, and Maisie had never been seen there before. I walked in as a brand-new patient approximately 30 minutes before closing with a serious injury, scared and unsure whether anyone would be able to help us that late in the day. They accepted her without hesitation.
Maisie needed emergency surgery, and Dr. Thornton and the team stayed approximately two and a half hours past closing to take care of her and make sure she was stable enough to come home. Not once did they make me feel like we were an inconvenience or that her care was being rushed because it was late.
Everyone was incredibly kind, compassionate, and patient. They kept me informed, answered my questions, and made sure I understood how to care for Maisie at home. She means everything to me, and I will never forget that this team stayed as long as necessary to help my girl when we were complete strangers walking through their door. I am beyond grateful and would recommend Southern Hills Animal Hospital without hesitation.

4 Riverside Circle, RoanokeMy wife and I are both healthcare professionals and have spent decades in medical settings; however, it always feels different when you, your family, or in this instance your dog, require medical expertise. We are deeply grateful to have access to ACCRC in Roanoke, VA. Driving to Charlottesville or the Triad would have been much more challenging. ACCRC provides an essential service to Roanoke that few seem to fully appreciate. I wish more local veterinarians were aware of the compassionate, high-quality care ACCRC provides to patients and their families; not having to drive a long distance removes at least one burden for families. The staff are courteous, compassionate, and highly competent. The facility is modern and immaculate. Our dog received a new-patient consultation in less than a week, and her multimodality therapy began soon thereafter. ACCRC has provided a reasonable plan forward, and with any plan forward, there is hope. We couldn’t ask for more.

All were very good to excellent. Picked up bottles of the white rum (Carribean style), barrel aged gin (very whiskey forward), and rye to take home. Sent us on our way with bags if kettle corn for the kids. The pizza food truck out side was much better than average too. Highly recommend.

Say what? 🤪 Served with shoestring fries that were perfectly salted and crispy. The owner is a vet too! And the entire operation is family owned and run. GO LOCAL! Super courteous folks and great to talk to. We swapped some sea stories. If you’re in Roanoke, definitely stop here!! I’ll be coming here again.

Tonight they had a man carding at the front door. A customer came up already with a bad attitude. He didn't want to be carded and was insulted for he had been coming here for years. The gentleman minding the door whose name was Chris handled it very calmly with no attitude even though the guy calmed he didn't like Chris's attitude. the customer was clear trying to start something but only received politeness. I saw that same guy trying to start it up with another gentleman watching the door. Great job to Chris. He was also nice enough to stop and chat with me and do his job. I was the only one sitting outside it was nice to be acknowledged. Thanks

As soon as you walk in (sometimes even as you're walking up to the door) you are greeted with the delightful scents of the rotating menu and the sights of the impeccable open kitchen, well-stocked bar, and inviting seating. The service is always top-notch, the front of house staff are knowledgeable about everything on the menu and incredibly attentive, and the chefs will also interact with guests and are invested in their enjoyment. We love the rotating menu of food and drink, and there's always something delightful for every individual's tastes. One of our favorites is the potatoes aioli, with their perfect texture and seasonally changing sauce.

Having the feral kitties fixed outside cost me a fraction of what a regular vet would've costed. $150 here and it covers vaccine, chip, neuter. Regular vet would've been over $500. The tech really took her time to educate me and I really appreciate everyone there. It's always so busy and I'm sure they have to deal with a lot that they carry home with them mentally. Cudos you all so ROCK!!!!
