When I got there, it was a nice clean environment (didn't smell like pee at all). The wait time wasn't long. The vet took his time and let my dog get comfortable with him (my dog is normally a bit standoffish/nervous with strangers, especially males). The vet listened to all my concerns. Gave me options and information. I didn't feel judged or like they were trying to push extra services on me. And they were also very affordable. 10/10 recommend

And *we* love that we get updates on how she's doing when we're away and how seriously they take the dogs' safety. I never used to feel comfortable leaving our dog when we went out of town, but now that she goes to Little River Farm, I know she's in good hands and trust leaving her in their care! A beautiful property with caregivers we trust 100%!

109 East Main Street Ste B, FloydTruly the best restaurant in the town of Floyd currently, by a wide margin. Family owned in every sense, extremely consistent with quality, taste and portion. The staff is knowledgeable and genuine. They always give a little extra here. A little extra pour, a little extra time, a little extra energy. The food tastes like it’s made with both skill and love. The menu changes because the ingredients are fresh.
Also, meticulously clean. Never a sticky menu, pristine restrooms.
I hope this incredible place stays open forever, until the owners well deserved retirement somewhere tropical!

It’s a beautiful little family-run winery that occasionally hosts weddings, and that was exactly what made it so special. Our wedding was small and intimate, and the space fit us perfectly. It never felt like we were just another wedding being moved through a traditional venue—it felt personal, relaxed, and genuinely special from beginning to end.
Tim, Julie, and Heyward were absolutely incredible. They welcomed us with such warmth and made us feel like family. You can tell how much they care about the winery, the people who visit, and the experience they create.
And the entire staff were absolute stars. Everyone was so kind, helpful, accommodating, and willing to jump in wherever they were needed. There was such a wonderful family-run atmosphere to the whole place, and that carried through our entire wedding day.
The setting itself is beautiful, but it really is the people who make Villa Appalaccia what it is. Our wedding felt intimate, effortless, and completely us. We left feeling incredibly grateful that we found this little place in the mountains and were able to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives there.
We cannot recommend Villa Appalaccia enough—whether you’re stopping by the winery or lucky enough to have your wedding there. Tim, Julie, Heyward, and the entire team will always be a special part of our wedding memories.
