Pet Care

Blue Ridge Veterinary Hospital
436 Floyd Hwy N, FloydMy first experience was over the phone with the receptionist. She was very understanding and compassionate. When I got there, it was a nice clean environment (didn't smell like pee at all). The wait time wasn't long. The vet took his time and let my dog get comfortable with him (my dog is normally a bit standoffish/nervous with strangers, especially males). The vet listened to all my concerns. Gave me options and information. I didn't feel judged or like they were trying to push extra services on me. And they were also very affordable. 10/10 recommend

Pet Sitting & Training

Little River Farm, LLC
3368 Bethlehem Church Rd NE, FloydThis is hands-down the best place we've boarded our dog! She loves playing with the others and running in the huge fenced-in area! And *we* love that we get updates on how she's doing when we're away and how seriously they take the dogs' safety. I never used to feel comfortable leaving our dog when we went out of town, but now that she goes to Little River Farm, I know she's in good hands and trust leaving her in their care! A beautiful property with caregivers we trust 100%!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Pantoufle's Bistro
109 E Main St Suite B, FloydThis is the best addition to Floyd that I've experienced in my travels here. Owned by the same people behind Cocoa Mia (the delicious chocolate store next door), the quality of the food here is amazing and locally sourced. The owner knows their limited and ever-changing menu well and is happy to explain how everything is made and what's in it.
Me and my boyfriend were seated 40 minutes before they closed, but my family arrived 10 minutes before closing but they kindly accommodated them as well! They also perfectly handled the allergies and intolerances of our table, the waitress went out of her way to make sure everything was correct.
Not only is the food affordable with large portions, but it is all absolutely delicious. I got the savory crepes, my boyfriend got the steak Benedict bowl special, and my family members got variations of the same for their lunch. Everything was spectacular. The steak Benedict bowl special was the standout for us here, the steak pieces were perfectly cooked.
There's indoor and outdoor seating and both are beautiful with great views! With the French vibes of the place and the care given to each dish in the menu, I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable our family meal was. Definitely support this locally run establishment during your travels to Floyd!

Buffalo Mountain Brewery And McDaniel's Tavern
332 Webbs Mill Rd N, FloydMy Love and I a wonderful visit to the Buffalo Mountain Brewery. My Food rating is for the beer. We did not eat food there nor did we think any food was available other than from the food truck outside.
The IPAs we enjoyed were top notch.
Our servers were very friendly and accommodating. The seating inside is very comfortable and well decorated. There is also outside seating available.
You couldn't ask for a better atmosphere to enjoy a beer.

Villa Appalaccia Winery
752 Rock Castle Gorge Rd, FloydLove this place! Julie, Tim, and Heywood are awesome. It's nice and close to the bed and breakfast, Moonlight Manor, so we walk over there frequently. We especially love the wood fired pizza on Sundays.

Chateau Morrisette Restaurant
287 Winery Rd SW, FloydThis was an amazing experience from the food, atmosphere, service, and wine! My husband and I went for our anniversary and so glad we went here! I ordered stuffed chicken that was so good it actually melted in my mouth! My husband got the beef brisket plate with homemade greens, that were the best I've had in years, and jalapeño cheese macaroni. The meal was unbeatable! Robert our waiter was excellent and very knowledgeable about the food and wine menu. Service was prompt. The atmosphere was very elegant and quaint without being stuffy with gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You can eat inside or outside. This is a perfect place for a romantic or special occasion be it for two or a large group. The meals are reasonably priced and have never disappointed us. We highly recommend this restaurant and winery! As far as other reviews only giving a few stars because of the decreased wine options maybe they need to consider their wine is made from the grapes they produce, which I appreciate. The grapes depend on appropriate weather conditions, which may take a turn at no fault of the winery. Ease up on the reviews, “Karen”.

302 S Locust St, FloydLove coming here when visiting Floyd to grab some delicious pizza! With this visit, it seemed our server forgot a few things we had asked for throughout the meal, including a food item. Other than that, the food and atmosphere were great!
