“Sure, you can go here and buy innovative and cheap stuff and fight the Jews in aisles for Chinese food to make on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve since they're afraid to go out this year to the normal Chinese restaurant where they will haggle over the price and leave a tip. “This was a small but well stocked grocery store. It isn't organized the same as other stores, but we still found what we were looking for. We got half and half, raspberries, water, and a couple snacks for our hotel. The price in dried pineapple is really great, and the service was friendly.”

“I am a frequent shopper at Trader Joe's in Alexandria, and they always have the freshest flowers and everything is always restocked. During checkout, all of the clerks are very pleasant and willing to have conversations. They also inform you about the newest food snacks, and when things will be restocked, if it's not in store that day. Overall, my experience every time is very pleasant.”

“Thank God, we have this store around here, we can find a lot of stuff from back home!The whole family loves this please , the owner and they were couple other people that worked there that were quite friendly. However, they hired a new girl that first of all knows nothing about the store, or products, or what they offer, sell their, second she is not friendly, talkative, or god forbid you ask where anything is….. she just stairs like you are talking a foreign language. Despite that we love this store and we try to avoid going there when she is there.”

“Come here for your West African ingredients, from canned foods, through Kenkey to bread and pastries. They stock a variety of items for your typical cuisine. Apparently they also provide remittance services and sell international call cards. I had to pass through to get my Kenkey (Fante and ga) before I travelled back home.”

Things are kinda all over the place and it's been like that for the numerous times I've dropped in to buy food.Last time I stopped by to buy some African groceries, I noticed they don't sell the meatpies and fish roll they used to sell before which was a bummer for me because they're delicious. It’s in the basement of a building along 14th Street NW filled with products like sake, fish sauce, pottery, and other items from Asia.The back has a sushi and rice bowl counter. Nearby is a grab-n-go area with pad Thai, curries, and more. The chicken red curry is the best I’ve had in the city”

“Love this little spot. The hot food is all so good - I love their pupusas, and I also frequently get their tamales. They also have a surprising number of grocery items for such a small shop! Prices for grocery are high to be expected for a small shop (though they have some items that are hard to find in this area), but their hot food bar is VERY reasonably priced.”

“The Rosslyn Target is fine. It's abbreviated and not as expansive as other Targets. It doesn't have as much stuff as most Targets. It's significantly better price-wise than the Safeway across the street (the Safeway's prices are basically yelling "You should take the Silver to McLean and go to Wegmans"). It's a pretty good target with decent selection (especially on grocery), and not awful on the pricepoints.”
